John was courteous, punctual, and just plain easy to work with (also charged a very fair price). As we waited for licensing from the city (which he handled for us), he went ahead and did the install. Professional, good price, honest, quality work. Picco air fixed my HVAC system which had been installed so improperly by a previous person. He had to take it out and completely reinstall. The unit was too large for the closet in which it is housed, but John made it work by adding a vent to increase air intake. He even made sure the new vent grill matched that of the existing vent. He was quickly able to determine there was a poor connection with some spliced wires in the attic. I called John because my heating and air system went out after I replaced my thermostats. I messed up the wiring on one of them, and figured I blew something out. My circuit breakers were fine, but that's about the extent of my knowledge. John was so helpful over the phone, and gave me free advice that allowed me to fix the problem myself by simply buying a $2 fuse for the blower. I know a lot of others in this business that would have come out and charged at least 50-100 bucks for any number of things that they would have found wrong. I will definitely be calling John if I have any future issues with my heating or air! read more

We couldn't be more satisfied with the work that John and Alex have done. They had a big project on their hands when it came to installing a new system in our home. Not only did they have entire new HVAC system to install, they had to deal with the messes and mistakes the previous owners left for us, but they made it very clear it was not a big deal and they would take care of it. John and Alex were there from start to finish, so let's start... First- when John was here to give an estimate. He was very polite, informative, detailed, honest, has integrity, clean, and just a nice guy. He was here to help me not make me feel like I was buying from a sleazy salesman- which unfortunately I did experience with some of the other guys I got estimates from. I liked that he respected my home enough to put booties on as he entered my home. When giving the estimate, he was very detailed... just to name a few things he suggested I put the new furnace in the attic if there is room... unfortunately after several measurements my attic was just a bit too small. Since the furnace will need to remain in the existing space he did explain it needed more airflow, a total of two additional ducts. He suggested cutting more ducts and replacing the old ducts with new bigger ducts. Not one other person that gave me an estimate suggested any of this. But if that wasn't enough, I appreciated his honesty. I have room that isn't complete, it is another "fix" from the previous owners. This room is just over 400 Sq. Ft., it was an add on, anyway, since it hasn't be completed there are multiple ways to add in the air ducts or AC. I asked about a mini- split, he said I could do that but why spend an additional $2K-$3K for that... who does that. John suggested that we wait to add them until the ceiling is complete because the ducts should be done right. There would be nothing worse then have to have the ducts re-structured and wasting money. I appreciated that because we it to be done right; and take it from me, there are so many things done wrong in this house, we can't afford to have anything else done wrong. The other guys just said oh put the ducts here it might be okay if the person putting in the ceiling does it correctly, and the second guy said the only option is a mini-split... After that my decision was made... John was the guy for the job. The had given me the estimate he had given was extremely reasonable. After we called John he was able to start the install within a couple of days, he would have started sooner but we needed the asbestos removed from our attic, which John had some guys come in and take care of that too... We used the HERO program for John's services. John made it extremely easy for us. All I had to do was add him as an authorized user and e-sign a couple of documents...SIMPLE. So let's get started- John and Alex were here in the morning and got started right away. They worked so hard from start to finish, there is no such thing as cutting corners in John's eyes. Their attention to detail is unparalleled to anyone else I have seen, for example, where the water would need to drain from the pump he moved it from the cement by the AC unit to the other side of the house where there is grass and no one walks. They said that is a better spot because it won't stain the cement and it won't be wet, the corners of the metal plates that needed to be cut, he rounded them so they were not sharp, I have never encountered a contractor that paid that much attention to detail. They were clean, extremely clean, in fact they cleaned stuff that wasn't their mess. They are trustworthy, I didn't feel like I had to worry with people I didn't know working on my house. Within two days my house had AC and it works perfectly. It works so well that it only takes a second to cool down my home. The airflow is amazing, in fact the building inspectors said they couldn't believe how good that works, it gets to a very comfortable temp very quickly. John went above and beyond. There were things that he did which he didn't need to do. He added a Carbon Monoxide detector, he could have suggested that I purchase one, my attic mini door was broken and he replaced, he cleaned up messes in my driveway that weren't his, he had his guys come in and patch where the old ducts were and matched the texture and paint color. And to finish- they were right there to make sure everything passed inspection. As I have mentioned over and over, we couldn't be happier. The only thing I would ask for, is that John could be my contractor for all of our home improvements. Thank John and Alex for EVERYTHING! read more

The A/C suddenly did not blow cold air anymore. I called John, got answering machine, then texted cellphone. Got a text back within 15 minutes and he set an appointment for Wednesday (I called Saturday at 7 PM). I chose him because his work address is nearby and had great reviews. Since it seemed far off without A/C, he recommended his friend at Holloway Air Systems who was able to come next day! This type of recommendation and unselfish action deserves recognition.
