This is the 3rd location in the Chicagoland area as part of the Coopers Hawk family. Inspired by Neapolitan Pizza from Rome, their menu has expanded to antipasti, soups, pasta and desserts all paired with a wine recommendation. We went late on a Saturday for lunch. They offer 1 salad,3 sandwich selections and a pasta dish for lunch. I wish they offered more but we were happy with what we had. Lunch is available till 330pm. I had the Chicken Parm Sandwich with cottage fries and a Calabrian Aioli. Very flavorful and a good portion. My wife had the GF Spaghetti Pomodoro. Perfect serving size and delicious. We each had a recommended glass of wine. Being they just opened, they still are training their staff so service was slower than normal I'm sure. I can't wait to go back and try more of their Italian dishes especially their pizza and hopefully they will also expand their GF items in the future.

We have been to Cooper's Hawk many times and used to be original members of their wine club. We were passing by this newly opened Piccolo location and decided to give it a try for a late lunch. It was a Saturday and we didn't have a reservation but because of the odd hour we were seated right away at a small two top. Our server was sweet and she was shadowed by a trainee so we received excellent service. Lunch goes until 3pm so we ordered off the lunch menu which has items not found on the regular main menu. I like that they do wine pairing suggestions with each item just like at Cooper's Hawk. Both of our meals were flavorful and a generous portion. The wines were light and paired well with the dishes. The interior of this restaurant is beautiful with several different areas to enjoy including the patio (unfortunate view of the parking lot), bar area and both comfy booths and tables. I appreciated that they offered gluten free items on the menu and not just salad choices. I would return when in the area.

We came for a special birthday lunch and we're excited to give this place a try as it is a brand new location. The host staff was super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and very clean. We ordered a yellow pizza. It was very tasty and great for sharing. However the cut on the pizza was very uneven, some of the slices were tiny and some of it just wasn't even cut all the way through and huge. We shared a chicken Parmesan. It had great flavor but the chicken was extremely salty and hard to cut. Needed a steak knife to cut through it because it was tough. We waited awhile for a server to check back with us so just never got a better knife. The pasta was cooked aldente and had nice flavor but a little too greasy and oily. We were both glad we decided to share because overall the entree portion was just so heavy and salt forward. The timing between the pizza and the chicken parm was also much too close and we ended up having to rush through our pizza to get the to entree before it got cold, despite being told there would be adequate spacing in between the two. Also we noted on our reservation a birthday, and while the host staff acknowledged it, the server did not. That was a little disappointing too. Overall, I would go back for the pizzas, but would maybe wait until they get some things ironed out at the location.

New location opened yesterday so I figured we would give them one day before we came in for dinner. Our typical Piccolo Buco order: CH Pinot Gris Squash Blossoms Traditional red margherita pizza Yellow margherita pizza Tiramisu Even with being only their 2nd day open it was on par with the other two locations we have visited.

It's such a beautiful space! Definitely make reservations if you know you're going ahead of time, otherwise expect a long wait. Do the wine tasting and ask to try things on the back of you see something interesting. The service was great and the pasta we got to go was perfect. The truffle fondue pasta and the pepperoni pizza are favorites!

We came to take photo's because they just opened two weeks ago and we were I'm the area today. So after we went to the patio one of the employees came and asked us if we were dining in and I asked him do we need to dine in to take photo's? So he said some of the customers said something but we were there for 15 minutes though and no one didn't say anything. Also, we introduced ourselves. We were going to come back and dine in but since he said something I told him we won't be coming back.

Obviously, the wine was great. Server Joel was very attentive. Seating inside is very tight. My party of two was seated at the tiniest little table next to a party of four whose backs were practically against our table. We had a wine flight and a glass of wine. We also split a salad (which the kitchen did for us-very nice). This left zero room on the table. The Caesar salad was tasty but lacked any croutons or bread. We ordered the njuda pizza. It tasted like red pepper and nothing else. Just straight red pepper spread on a fluffy but very small pizza crust. The diameter of the pizza is about 10 inches with a very wide crust which leaves about a 6 inch diameter for toppings. When the pizza is delivered, a member of the kitchen staff cuts it with scissors in either two or four pieces. Our pizza runner was very awkward and had a hard time figuring out how to do the cutting with all of the plates and glasses on the tiny table. The salad and pizza was not enough for two people. Prices are too high for the amount of food.

Got to try the new Piccolo Buco by Coopers Hawk in Schaumburg today... it was great! The decor and ambiance were really hip and cute- taking pictures of our food was a little dark so more on the romantic side of lighting, but not like you need a flashlight for your menu dark. The food is really yummy. Tried the squash blossoms which were a good portion for 2, the lemon sauce was so yummy. Also go the spicy sausage pizza - that crust is REALLY REALLY GOOD... sausage almost looked like pepperoni the way it's cut but definitely a spicy sausage pizza. Also tried the Truffle Fondue Cappellacci - WOAH. SO YUM, loved the pistachios on top which added a great crunch. Lastly we had the Chocolate hazelnut cake - another win. All the food was exceptional and tastey! Oh can't forget the drinks! I did a swirl of their Bellini and sangria slushies - A SUMMER MUST TRY- and my friend got the Rossini Martini which was sweet and yummy too. Prices are average and looks like they have a great happy hour menu as well!

    Meatball cut in half

I visited this same location 3 times in 2 days and the first 2 visits were a 10 out of 5! 3 visits, 3 different servers. First 2 visits, Absolutely amazing recommendations from servers upon arriving, meals were off the charts! That chicken parm sandwich was unlike anything I've had before from flavors to texture! The texture on that chicken cutlet was out of this world! We made a dinner reservation. I returned last night with customers and it was horrific! We were seated at that table almost the exact time as our reservation. The patio is nice until someone lights a cigarette on the front entrance. We received our meatball appetizer before our water glasses were filled with a promise that water was coming when originally greeted by our server. Meatballs were great! We completely devoured the 3 meatballs after our server told us 5 come to an order. Ok no big deal. Still no waters.. 3 pizzas ordered and all three were cooked to different degrees. Someone wasn't paying attention while they were cooking. I see why people give bad reviews of this location after last night!

First off the portion size are very generous- one entree is large enough for 2 people for hard and in this day and age I truly commend the restaurant for doing this, it was noticed and def appreciated. The Caesar salad is truly such a classic salad, the oil dressing and grated cheese on top is perfectly balanced, it felt refreshing yet very savory as well. The rigatoni pasta was so so yummy. The orange sauce was very hearty. Last but not least the 4 cheese ravioli was W-O-W. I mean the consistency of the sauce just blew me away, and the pistachio pesto?! Genius. It was soo good I had to not lick the sauce off the plate (might still do for take out nights). Cant wait to come back and try more dishes! Service- Both times we made revelations on open table. We were seated very quickly. The waiters were very polite, gave great suggestions. Extra point for when we told them we were sharing, they made sure the dish was split onto two plates. Again, the effort and attention was really noticed and very admirable. Ambiance- It may be a chain but this place has such a classic Italian feel. From the decor the colors and even choices on the menu, very well thought out. The place is renovated and very clean and over ambiance is romantic. Worse, the host displayed an unprofessional attitude, stating 'I have already told you in a few minutes' and was seen talking to other hosts about how upset our group was. When I finally spoke with a manager, Don M., his response was unsettling. Rather than apologizing for the 30-minute delay, he simply told me 'I am not kicking you out,' which felt incredibly unprofessional and dismissive for a milestone celebration. After we were seated, Don M. never returned to check on us or acknowledge the delay. Fortunately, Assistant Manager Luis Martinez and our servers, Marco and Georgina, completely saved the day. Luis came to our table to check on us personally, and Marco and Georgina were excellent, accommodating our large group's orders perfectly. So far, the service seemed outstanding. We both wanted side salads with our meals, but Morton's doesn't offer one. So, we ordered their chopped salad and asked them to bring it out in two plates. It was really good - the salad vegetables were very fresh and the vinaigrette was amazing. For our meals, I ordered their aged rib eye, and my partner ordered the filet.
