We sat at the chef's table and had a limited 4 course selection to choose from. It began with a wonderful tuna crudo that was light and almost summery with the strawberries and cucumbers that surprisingly complimented the incredibly flavorful tuna. The spinach gnudi was a small salad that also had a number of components I would have never dreamed to combine, but they all paired nicely with each other. The main course was a lamb that was perfectly cooked, and though I didn't care for the accompaniment of figs, the rest of the dish more than made up for it. To finish off, we ended with asian pear crisp. You don't often see Asian pears incorporated into cooking. However, Asian pears actually being one of my favorite fruits this was welcome surprise and fantastic way to end the evening. Or so it would be, had they not brought out an additional crem bruele for my birthday, which was also excellent. I very very much enjoyed my meal here and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone. Sitting at the chef's table is also a special treat as I thoroughly enjoyed watching that process that is traditionally kept behind closed doors. I will definitely be making a return trip whether it's for new menu offerings or to try one of their cooking classes.

The vibes and ambience take you right out of Old Bridge and throws you into a trendy NYC restaurant and bar. While Mezcal can be considered pricey, their flavors and offerings definitely lives up to the hype. We started with the beluga caviar tasting which was delicious and rich! Way better than the typical sturgeon caviar most restaurants serve. The oysters were also fresh and was served with delicious condiments. For our main entree we ordered the tomahawk for 2, with a side of corn and mashed potatoes. We loved that the steak was served with sea salt on the side that we can sprinkle on every bite. We finished our meal with flan and it was rich and decadent. It definitely put a dent in my wallet but we'll definitely be going back there soon to try their lobster risotto and other steak options! From the moment you walk in, the restaurant makes a great first impression. The décor is beautiful and upscale, but still inviting and there are plenty of great spots for social media pictures. We started with a few lighter appetizers, but they ended up being more than enough. We shared three sets of tacos: the fish, pork, and short rib. Each order comes with two tacos, which makes them perfect for sharing and trying different flavors. The esquites were also really tasty and all paired very well. My daughter had a cheese quesadilla, which she absolutely loved. For drinks, I went with an Old Fashioned (my go to classic) while my wife ordered the "Clock It" mocktail. Both were solid choices. I also appreciated that they brought out boxed water for my daughter, which was a nice touch. What really stood out to me, though, was the service. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. There's also a fairly large bar right at the entrance, so you don't necessarily have to come here for a full meal. I could easily see Mezcal being a great date-night spot or a place to grab drinks and enjoy the atmosphere. There's also plenty of parking in the back, which is always a plus. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Next time, I want to try some of the main dishes. It's a higher-end restaurant, so expect the prices to reflect that, but between the food, atmosphere, service, and presentation, I thought it was well worth the experience.

They were delicious. My youngest had the skirt steak, which he enjoyed. I had a piece and liked it. The only place where skirt steak is good, just not usually a fan. It is a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and cute simple decor that has a communal feel. The specials menu had some fun and exciting choices for st Patrick's day! There was also a listing for blueberry pierogies which we decided we just had to try. I think the concept is exciting and new- but the inside of the pierogies were only blueberries which weren't very sweet. We thought it could be even better with the addition of a sweetened ricotta, cream cheese, or mascarpone inside to compliment the berries. There was a drizzle of some kind of icing which was tasty and went well but there wasn't enough of it. We ordered our meals from their regular menu. They must have polish roots because pierogies and kielbasa show up on the menu a few times. I saw "pierogie omelet" and was sold. You can tell their pierogies are freshly made and it makes all the difference. I probably wouldn't get the omelet again because it was kind of a lot happening at once, however, next time I go I think I definitely would like to get the pierogi platter they offer because I enjoyed the kielbasa and pierogies so much. My sister got a strawberry arugula salad with crispy chicken. I did not try it but I tried a piece of chicken and it was deliciously crisp. She said everything was really good and the strawberries were perfect and ripe. My mom, who got the protein pancake with fruit on side agreed. My other sister got a tuna wrap which she also enjoyed. I also like that they do a 1/2 tea 1/2 lemonade with your choice of flavor. I got the raspberry and it was delicious - not too sweet but the flavor was there. Our waitress was a gem and we never felt rushed.
