I had a salad here before I believe I liked better. The sandwich was ok; the wheat bread was a bit plain. I liked the blue cheese they used a lot more than the provolone on my buffalo chicken sandwich. My brother reported the pizza was a solid 8/10, which his soon to be wife said was probably a few marks too high. We have fun and sentimental memories at Pickleman's, so I would give this chain overall a 3.5 out of 5. The service was ok- they mixed up a few orders but were kind enough in helping sort it all out. stopped in last night for a veggie sandwich w/ additional toppings + broccoli cheddar soup w/ soup roll + full size Avo-Cobb salad (bacon on side for my dog) + Buffalo Mac n cheese (chicken on side for my dog) my partner said Subway tastes better than the veggie sandwich he ordered (i don't eat there so i'll take his word on that) + said the buffalo mac was way too overpowering with how much ranch and buffalo sauce they poured on top. My broccoli cheddar soup was standard but really good. My salad was MASSIVE but also underwhelming and lowkey scammy. It had iceberg lettuce, not romaine as advertised, flavorless tomatoes + the avocado slices weren't ripe and were a bit hard to cut through. The other downside of this is the dashers usually never contact us like the In shop workers usually tend to do. Staying down the street at the Double Tree hotel and decided to eat here for dinner. We ended up driving so we had to pay to park on the street. It will cost you $4. For 2 hours of parking. Once inside you have to walk past the cashier and others in line to place your order. Kind of a weird set up especially if they were busy with a long line of people. I decided on a pick two which consisted of a half of a turkey sandwich and broccoli soup. My husband and daughter both ordered the pepperoni pizza. and we all had foundation drinks. Total price came to around $41.00 I love broccoli cheese soup so I wasn't expecting the watery bland flavor that I received. Not the thick hardy cheesy flavor with chunks of broccoli that I'm use to. I had to ask for salt and pepper hoping it would enhance the flavor. Unfortunately it didn't help. The picture of their turkey sandwich on their menu looked nothing like I received. Mine was flat, not full of toppings like the advertised picture. I opened up the sandwich and had a hard time finding the little bit of turkey that was put on my sandwich. It was hidden behind the thin piece of cheese. The pizzas that we ordered looked good. They were thin crust and cut into squares. Unfortunately those too were lacking flavor. We couldn't taste the flavor of the sauce and the cheese was just there. Not much seasoning to bring out any flavors. I was attending a conference at the Residence Inn downtown and Pickleman's was catered to us. They were right on time with their delivery and brought condiments and plates. I enjoy Pickleman's, their pizzas are delicious and their bread is probably my favorite of all the chain sandwich shops around town. I usually get the veggie sandwich or a grilled cheese with the tomato bisque, which is so good. If you get the sandwich and soup combo, it usually comes with a half sandwich, but if you order it with a grilled cheese you get a full-size sandwich, seeing as how there isn't much to it, topping-wise. Likes this. Pickleman's has a good selection of vegetarian options, I really like that their soups are all made with vegetable stock now, so they are veggie friendly without guesswork involved... other than ones with obvious meat in them, of course. I usually visit this location for dinner, though I have also been here for a weekend lunch. It has never been terribly crowded, and there are plenty of tables, though most orders seem to be "to go". I LOVE this Pickleman's location. Often when I find myself downtown and too hungry to eat at home I stop in here. I always get the sandwich and salad combo and it's just the right amount of food. The sandwiches are always perfectly toasted and the Caesar dressing is some of the best I've ever had. Last time I was in they even gave me a complimentary cookie! I'm not a huge baked goods fan, but theirs was pretty good and almost comparable to paradise bakery cookies. They were really great: thin crust, with a very flavorful, oregano-forward sauce. Puzzlingly, the salads took the longest. We waited a few more minutes while the kids devoured the pizza, and still no salad. I had to go ask what was taking so long; the salads came soon after that. To their credit, they gave us a few cookies for the inconvenience. The salads were good. They had a mix of romaine and or spinach - your choice - and some decent Caesar dressing.
