Quick and delicious sandwiches! Picklemans has been a go to spot of mine since moving to Omaha. I've tried a handful of sandwiches and they have all been yummy. My favorite is probably the italian club. They have a few other offerings like soup and salad too. The best part about Picklemans, in my opinion, is that the sandwiches are neatly made and everything is stuffed in the sammys making them super easy to eat. The toppings don't just all fall out like at a lot of other sandwich places! Will continue to visit Picklemans when I'm in a pinch or don't feel like cooking. read more

I really like to love this place BUT they (204th store) forgot to pack a marinara sauce for a meatball sandwich to go then second time we tried the 10" pizza and crust wasn't done and so doughy ( flavor was good though...) and I just wish their sandwiches are bigger as firehouse subs or Jersey Mike's for that price. read more

Whichever location you choose, the service is relatively quick, even if the lines are long and the food is good. I typically grab an Italian sub with hot peppers and one of the spicier sauces that they have. It's a good sandwich and they're located all around Omaha. a few years ago, one night, i had taken 4 gel tabs for the first time and had the worst 48 hours of my life. i was struggling to trip sit for someone who also had taken 4 gel tabs, and I didn't want their mom to know but inevitably had to call her. She had a friend come pick us up and we stayed at their house for the night. I was awake battling demons and trying not to poop my pants while my partner was dead asleep. I had work the next day. I tried to get out of it but I worked for my aunt. I ended up going in at noon and, still tripping balls, worked at a computer for a few hours. That was until she asked me the most beautiful question: "do you want a sandwich". To which I replied, close to tears: "yes. yes I do". So, she ordered me a veggie Pickleman's sandwich with banana peppers with the coldest sprite, which was the most heavenly experience someone could ask for after spending a day in purgatory. Wow - what a total disappointment. I ordered a italian club, a grilled cheese with bacon and a turkey & bacon with avocado. The italian club was mine and it was decent but certainly nothing to get excited about. Little did I know it would be the shining star of the three sandwiches. The grilled cheese was pathetic - hardly any cheese and the saddest bacon I have ever seen. The turkey and bacon had the same sad bacon and ONE piece of really odd tasting turkey lunchmeat on it. My gf ate less than half of it and threw the rest in the trash. 21.00 for three lousy sad sandwiches. I don't think so. Never again. read more

Pizza, sub sandwiches, and more. I've experienced few places on the West Coast who would dare offer such a wide range of popular fast food options. Pickleman's dares to diversify and it does so well. My family ordered take out for lunch with the gamut of pizza, sub sandwiches, and other options. We needed to eat - and fast. With graduation season in full swing, there was little time to spare. We were able to get in and get out faster than you could recite the various pickle options available. The pizza was simply ah-mazing. I still can't get over the fact that Pickleman's could make a proper pizza in such a short amount of time and have it taste as awesome as it did. Came here for a quick lunch on a Wednesday afternoon with a few coworkers from out of town. I ordered the whole grill cheese and a 12oz bowl of broccoli cheese soup. Soup was just ok, needed some more flavor and wasn't very hot. While enjoying my meal, what appeared to be a homeless person came in the store and started harassing me and my coworkers. The staff did kick him out but he cam back again creating a scene. Appeared to be a common issue in Omaha over the time I been here visiting. The homeless are bold and not afraid to invade your personal space. The staff did handle it great by taking him outside and calling the police. I would visit again but would not order the soup. This wasn't too bad. I went on a Sunday, and ordered a #9 sandwich, which is roast beef with cheese and peppers. The sandwich tasted fine, was made right in front of me, and was the right size - not too huge, not too small. The drink fountain was new, and worked fine. They do have Coke Zero and Coke products, which is a plus in my book. The only minus is the flow - when you get into the restaurant, you have to walk into a cul-de-sac of sorts, to get to where you order. Used to love this place till today, I ordered chipotle chicken sandwich and they made it with ham first and got it cancelled and then they made another one and handed over to someone else and then they told me that they will make one for me for free - I didn't ask for it though. After some time the customer who took my sandwich by mistake returned it and they exchanged the hands gave that one to me. They guy there told me that you don't have to pay for it the lady at counter says no you have to pay for it, I informed her that another guy told me you don't have to to pay but she didn't listen. I sis why should I take sandwich handed over to some other customer and returned after some time. I wanted Almost 30 minutes waiting and had to come back hungry as I had a meeting. I will never go back with this kind of customer service. Accept your mistakes and be polite to customers.it was not my mistake that you made wrong sandwiches of giving to wrong customer. I give this place 5 stars for service and quality of food. However, I gave it three stars because I can't eat red onions (I simply can't digest them and if I eat them, it causes severe stomach pains) so I asked for the Southwest salad with no onions. When I got back to work I saw that there were diced onions throughout the entire salad. I think the bean mix has red onions in it (?) which was a real bummer. I was able to pick them out but because there was so many this took ~30 minutes and I had to throw away half of the salad :-/. Also, I had chosen the half salad, half sandwich and got tuna which ALSO had diced red onions in it. Luckily, there weren't as many as the salad so I was able to eat a lot of the sandwich but seriously, this could be a major problem for someone with a more severe food allergy. read more

I ordered from them because the hotel where I am staying recommended them. Actually it was the only restaurant they did recommend. They did give me another option but they said it sucked. I won't mention them here. Regardless Picklemans had a wide selection of items to choose from and what I ordered came hot. I really appreciate very hot food being delivered to my room when I expect it to be that way. The food was actually better than expected and that is saying a lot. I had a really rough experience with Pickleman's today. Most of the problem had to do with their website, and I'm not sure how much of the online order system is controlled locally, but it was not a pleasant experience today. 1) My order disappeared online at least twice. 2) You can't place an order for delivery if they're not open. At the time, I thought the location just never offered delivery, which was confusing to me. To clarify, I was trying to place an order just before 10am because I needed noon delivery and would be in a meeting until noon. I don't think it's unreasonable to be able to request delivery even if they're not currently order if the time you need delivery is during their open hours. Other sandwich places do this and do this much better. 3) I already had the orders from clients for Pickleman's, so I had to use them. I selected pickup. 4) I learned from a coworker that they do indeed deliver, but by the time I learned this and called, it was too late, and I had to walk over there. 5) It was freezing. I know, first world problems, but there was absolutely nothing convenient about this experience. 6) When I finally opened my food, it was wrong. Nothing looks more unappealing than a plain Italian beef sandwich. No peppers... just ticked me off even more. At the end of the day, it's the failure of the online ordering system that has left me so unsatisfied. I'm not sure how much control local management has over that, but it was such a bad experience that I won't go there again. read more

After my review, I got a nice (as in, not at all defensive and gracious about the criticism) email from the folks here. I appreciated that. So, I have since ordered delivery from them a few times and have had a good experience--I ordered on the website and the food has always arrived quickly (usually sooner than I expected) and in good shape/unspilled. Considering at least one of the delivery guys was biking it over and didn't spill any of my fountain drink, I'm impressed. So, they've redeemed themselves a bit since my first review and I'll be trying them again. read more
