Chris and his assistant, Seth, spent the day with us hanging ceiling-to-floor, corner-to-corner, black-out curtains on two walls in our master bedroom, another set of curtains in the guest bedroom, all our art throughout the house, and even volunteered handyman services when Chris observed wall damage caused by the cable installer. He arrives on time with every possible tool, ladder height, and product he may need for most jobs in his truck. There's no running to the hardware store to pick up needed items except, I imagine, if the requested service is not accurately conveyed to him prior to arrival. Chris is professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate about completing a job to the customer's complete satisfaction. I'll admit to being indecisive when deciding where to hang art, especially in common areas. Chris was patient and made adjustments without complaint as I changed my mind ... multiple times. I've worked with many service providers since moving my daughter into her new home one month ago. Most are somewhat unreliable relative to the time of arrival ... and even, alarmingly, the date. The caliber of service provided even by resources presumably vetted by a well-known online service is questionable, at best. In addition, I feel the cost of the contracted service invariably escalates once the provider arrives onsite ... even after a comprehensive discussion about the requested service. Chris is the polar opposite. You can set a Swiss watch by his punctuality, he has a modest service call fee, and a flat hourly rate for one or two people. (The service call fee is discounted by 50% for repeat customers.) The only additional cost would be for the purchase of items specific to a unique job, but those are discussed prior to purchase. All in all, my experience with Hanging Pictures with Us was very positive. There was no wasted time throughout the day, every task was completed to my extreme satisfaction, and I feel I received excellent value for the very reasonable (dare I say, modest) and competitive fee.
