If you love meat then you need to get this! 2nd time: We ate on the patio & ordered fettuccine Alfredo & a meatball sub. Yum! 3rd time: Our last day in Stowe we made it our "favorites" day meaning we went back to our favorite spots of the trip. We were starving when we arrived in Stowe and happened upon Piecasso by accident. It's right on the main drag, maybe 5 miles from the resort so it's a hard place to miss. Unfortunately like a lot of places in Stowe, Piecasso does not take reservations. The jam packed parking lot should have been a clue as to how popular the pizza place is, but there is easy overflow parking next door and across the street at other less popular places of business. We almost left because it was so busy on a Saturday night of a holiday weekend and were too hungry for the projected 90 minute wait. However, we scoped out some space at the bar and decided to order dinner there. It seems like a lot of people jumped ship because we got called for dinner maybe 30-40 minutes later when we were finishing our drinks (we forgot to cancel our reservation). It was loud, but not too loud and a nice welcome to town. Our Pablo Pesto pizza came quickly and was tasty. Not the best pizza in the world (we were expecting a lot because of all the awards posted on the walls!), but it definitely hit the spot. We also shared the salad with beets which was delicious. Would definitely come back again the next time we're in Stowe! read more

My family and I went to Piecasso for dinner a couple nights ago. Out waitress was great! However, I really had no idea that the Brussel sprouts were going to be fried. They still tasted good, but I would have enjoyed them not fried. It may have said that on the menu and it totally could have been my fault. The silly bread was huge! Great bang for your buck. Manager is a jerk- when asking for a table that was quiet - we were seated under a speaker. when asking to be moved the manager was argumentative and refused to move to another table because it was for 5 not for a party of 4. the table was unused for the 1.5 hours we were there. Upscale with an edge of trendiness , Piecasso manages to bring in warmth and hospitality of Vermont. The place is large and spread across into back rooms. The ambience is relaxing without a strict dress code. I ordered a tree hugger pizza upon the recommendation of Yelp and my bartender and it did not disappoint. The flavor was light with the occasional burst of roasted garlic. My beer is choice was the Edward which was excellent beyond words. If you truly want to experience high quality beer this is the place. The staff was friendly and prompt. This place is definitely worth the visit. read more

This was a decent restaurant my wife and I went to for dinner. We did hear from locals this is the best place to get pizza, so why not give it a try? We entered the restaurant and were seated promptly. We decided to do outside seating, but there was no cover. The sun was super strong that evening and was beating down on us. The hostess said it was well covered, but that was not 100% true. Our waitress was nice when we saw her. She swing by sometimes, but disappear if we wanted a drink. The food was actually really good. The calamari war crisp with a decent amount of spice. The Pablo Pesto pizza was good as well. It had a decent amount of moist chicken and the pesto sauce was flavorful. Good food but spotty service. Best pizza we have truly ever had. We're from NH and we're referred here and it did not disappoint. It was super comfortable inside with great staff, great drinks and just amazing food. We got fried Brussels sprouts for our appetizer and were seriously amazed saying "yum" every single bite. We got the Picasso pizza too which was to die for! We ordered take out from there. Arrived to pick it up. The girl who was working the register (apparently the manager) with black hair and French braids. Went to grab our order and I hear her say to the red head, sitting in front of the pizza oven. They also had garlic knots. I watch the red head girl pick up a bucket under the table, pick some garlic knots out with her bare hands, set them on a tray and into the oven. I then waved at her to come over. I told her I didn't want them, I want a refund, that it's disgusting. She the. tells me it's okay because the heat cooks it off. I told her I don't want them, I want a refund. she tells me she has to get the manager. The lady waiting behind me says, I saw that, it's disgusting. The manager/cashier that took my payment. Came out from the back, goes over to the bucket of garlic knots, reaches in to pick one up, when she looked at me and grabbed some tongues. I waves to her and said. I don't want any! I want a refund. I said I'm sorry that girl is offended that I told her using her fingers was disgusting. Never an apology and after watching the manager go in to grab before she looked at me. First of all, the food was excellent. The pizzas and salads were amazing, fresh ingredients and a great beer/wine selection. Even the GF cauliflower crust pizzas were spot on. I wanted to LOVE this place...but...I couldn't... There was a sign asking for patience as the restaurant was short staffed. We were patient and smiling as the hostess ignored us for 5 minutes while negotiating a reservation for...next month...Then it took 20 minutes after being seated to finally see a server and receive drinks. And another 20 minutes waiting for a second drink that didn't really come until I reminded the waitress I never received it. I appreciate the effort they are putting in, but with service this terrible, it really took away from the experience. read more

We were very pleased to eat outside on a lovely patio that was partially covered which helped us out for an evening rain that came through. But the best part of our dining experience was the sensational pizza! They served us the best chicken barbecue pizza we've ever had and we've ordered plenty from many restaurants. We usually love piecasso. Last night we were told it was a 2 hour wait, we got lucky and snagged two seats at the bar. The bartender didn't acknowledge us or the dirty plates and drinks in front of us for a solid 15 mins, we asked for menus and for the previous people's things to be cleaned up and all he responded with was a snicker and "I'm aware." About another 20 mins went by, still sitting in front of dirty dishes when he started handing out the cleaner and wipes for people to clean their own areas before they ate. At this point I lost all hope in piecasso and their service and we'll never be back :( read more

Piecasso used to be one of my favorite pizza stops all around! Sadly, the last couple of visits I have made this year have been quite disappointing. When I stopped here for lunch, our waitress didn't greet us, or even really make eye contact with us at all. As I placed our order for a large BBQ Luca (my favorite vegetarian option), she stared off into the distance and walked away. When the pizza was placed on the table, my immediate thought was that our order got mixed up with another; the pizza looked nothing like the times I've ordered it several times before (see comparison photos). To my disappointment, it was very under cooked, sparingly topped, and soggy. The BBQ sauce drizzled on top was raw and added after it cooked, and the crust was unseasoned and pale, unlike the golden crispy crust that pizza should have. The quality of the Piecasso pizza's has dropped to the point where it's no longer our go-to destination when we're in the area. It's unfortunate, because the quality and service was so great in past years! If I do give this place another visit, I'm hoping the experience will be more positive. If it is, I'll surely update my review. For now, I stand at two stars. read more
