We placed an order for pickup here which we grabbed right as they marked our order ready to go. The pizza was cold, they forgot the ranch that they charged an additional $3.75 for, and they didn't give us the soup we ordered. They use a third party app to book pickup orders and there was no option to get refunded for the items they left out. Very underwhelming and disappointing. read more

We got the Vienna pizza (pesto base with sundried tomatoes, spinach, kalamata olives, balsamic drizzle) and enjoyed the flavor combination. There was only one picnic table out front to sit and eat (we didn't want to do real outdoor dining service with COVID), but part of the Stowe recreation path is right behind the restaurant, so we grabbed a bench and sat there. We entered the restaurant and waited in line for 20 minutes. No one was around and nothing was communicated to us so we just waited. When we got to the host table, two people started going through the tables and reservations, again no communication with us! I asked whether you have a table for 5 people or not and the host became frustrated and told me: "do you have a reservation?" I said no! He became very angry and told me: "then no!!!!" We asked if we can takout then, they just pointed at another way with their fingers!! like this: they did not even talk to us or look at us. I was shocked. We went to the pick up window and there were some limited options for buying pizza slices! I asked in a very polite way: are there any more pizzas coming out any time soon? The server told me "maybe"!!!!!! in the most "I do not care about you" way. I was shocked again! How rude these people are. Terrible terrible experience! Pizza was just okay in terms of taste but super expensive compared to the size and quality! To the business owner: Just let people know when you cannot provide a service or a decent service. Maybe it was just a wrong day, but we were pretty much given rudest treatment upon entering. The host did not come for several minutes despite the place being over 50% empty. Once she arrived at the host station, she ignored us. Finally, when she was ready to seat us, she demanded that we surrender the menus we were studying. My wife asked if the menus she was bringing us were different. The hostess curtly replied "no" with no further explanation. Then she walked us to the absolutely worst table in the place next to wait station and in the middle of traffic, threw the menus on the table and left without the word. I guess we were an inconvenience to her. We tried to move to another table, just in time to be greeted by a jaded server trying to remove extra utensils. My wife looked at me and just said "let's go". As we were walking out we got dirty looks from the waitstaff. I let them know that we have other choices. We went to American Flatbread instead. The restaurant was new, the hostess was very friendly, the waitress were super attentive and nice, the pizza was excellent and the music was good. We plan to never go back to Piecasso. read more

Amazing pizza. We were told it would be an hour wait when we got here on Saturday night with a party of six, it was much shorter. Please have a nice feel, friendly staff and menu with a lot of variety. We started off with some delicious garlic knots. Next, we got the margherita, Leonardo and the tree hugger- they were all successful, but I would probably pass up the tree hugger next time as it lacked flavor. This place was recommended to us by our innkeeper, and it more than delivered! If you go, you must try the garlic knots. This might be ~cheesy~ but the garlic knots had me salivating for more. The garlic knots reigned supreme among our artichoke dip, fettucine alfredo, and baby kale and bayley hazen blue salad. We waited for 20 minutes on a Saturday night at 8:10. Visited there for a late nite (8:30) pm food. Big mistake!!! The only thing worse than the service was the food. 45 minutes for takeout and all it consisted of hamburger fries and a salad. The cost more than $45 If there was another restaurant nearby these people would be out of business. They blame Covid for the shortage of their help but they don't have a help wanted sign anywhere to be found. When we got back to our hotel with the takeout food we open the foam trays and found a hockey puck for a hamburger dried up fries cold. And a salad that was 90% lettuce and not even the good kind of lettuce. The only way they got the high ratings on other reviews was because they serve liquor everyone else must've been drunk when they wrote the reviews. I wouldn't walk away from this restaurant I would run away from this restaurant they'll never see me again... Sadly, the manager brought this down to one star due to his highly unprofessional behavior, not a good role model for his crew. As we arrived, it was clear that he was stressed based on the way he spoke to his seating host. We requested outdoor seating since the AC was clearly not working indoors. Our waiter was pleasant and took our order promptly. Apps were acceptable, not more. Problems really started with mains, Eggplant parm was burnt then the mozzarella was put on top to hide the issue. Fried chicken sandwich also came out fried way over and dried out and came with truffled fries that had parm on them (spouse does not eat dairy). Fettuccine Alfredo was strange, there was no real sauce, but noodles with grated parm. I was so surprised this was allowed out of the kitchen. Waiter was gracious when we explained our situation and said she'd get new fries and speak to the manager. He did not come out initially so spouse went inside, got explanation of kitchen issues and offer to remove chicken and eggplant, but was going to charge us for replacement truffle fries that came with the chicken. When I asked he come out, it was clear he was not in a good way and decided to be loud in front of his customers telling us to, "Do me a favor and never come back." I have personally been to Piecasso multiple times over the years that I have came to Stowe and the surrounding areas. Until my last visit with one of my friends that has an allergy to gluten, I will never return EVER. We we assured that the sandwich and truffle fries that she ordered could have been completely gluten free and the server knew it was a gluten free order. I just don't get how if someone's specifically asked to have something gluten free why would you still put it in there... obviously if she's eating gluten free bread there shouldn't be gluten inside of the sandwich. At this point we don't know what it was in the meal that triggered her allergy all we know is that this was the only place she had eaten food from today. Shame on you for not being careful enough about allergies, our friend has been sick since late last night and is ruining our last day of much needed vacation. 2:00pm Next Day we called and we treated very rudely by the management and they were unsympathetic even though they caused this all because we know that she didn't eat anything that contained gluten other then whatever they call "gluten free" All they said is "usually we're very good about that". My friend obviously knows when she is having a reaction to gluten, it's no where even close to a stomach flu feeling and it amazes me that they tried to blame it on her when it clearly wasn't her fault. This place truly took me by surprise. After a day of skiing we were pretty hungry for some comfort food. Locals had recommended Piecasso to us a few times and so we decided to check it out. This is not a boring pizza joint. Inside is fun, the servers are really friendly and the pizza was phenomenally good! We ordered a medium of something with mushrooms, spinach and red onion (can't remember what it was called) but we inhaled it and were sad we didn't get a large. It was so, so good. Fresh and loaded with nice and not overly charred toppings which stood out in a flavorful way. When in Stowe, this place is a must!! I miss you already, Piecasso! read more
