Was craving a traditional breakfast and decided to order from Piedmont Cafe & Bakery. We ordered a variety of items: combo breakfast w/ waffles, side of corned beef hash and toast w/ jelly. We enjoyed the food we ordered and the portions were decent. The eggs were just a tad bit bland and required some extra salt/pepper. Potatoes were decently seasoned but still need a hint of salt and pepper. The toast had lots of butter, which I normally enjoy however I really wanted the jelly on my toast. Couldn't really taste the jelly due to the amount of butter. Is this a must must-have place? Nah, definitely not. However this place is a solid breakfast spot with a variety of options! Would I get breakfast from here again? Yep, I probably would if I'm in the area again.

Hole in the wall. Didn't know really where to get breakfast out in Oakland near Kaiser. Found this place and crossed my fingers. The donut case was almost empty, this got me worried about the food. The lady that waited on us was an older lady but was very friendly. She was the only waitress. I got the Waffle special. 1 waffle, 2 eggs ( I got over medium), and bacon. The bacon was crispy with no fat, sometimes I enjoy the fat. The over medium eggs were more so over easy, I find most places can't do a perfect over medium or their interpretation of over medium is different. The waffle was sweet and fluffy. No complaints on the waffle. This place is worth a try. I probably won't be back.

Pros: Tasty patty melt on rye Perfectly good coffee No KOIT soft rock on the speakers Friendly service No junk fees Cons: Unskilled service - nobody checked on me I had to ask for water and coffee refills from another waitress The waitress left my dirty dishes in front of me for a long time She ignored me while taking care of the table next to me. Former waitress here: You need to be aware of all the customers and don't get tunnel vision. You need to always have something in your hands instead of ignoring customers while walking by empty-handed.

This is a great gem in Oakland to grab breakfast, lunch, donut and coffee! Food: 5/5 I got a sausage breakfast burrito and it was superb! Loaded with egg and sausage, good amount of cheese, and definitely was filling! The coffee was delicious also! Customer service: 5/5 Our servers were very nice. Quick to refill the drinks and take your order. Price: 5/5 The price is extremely reasonable for the food and the quality. Parking: 2-3/5 It's street parking and it is a busy road. There is also free street parking on some of the side streets. This was a great little neighborhood find on a charming street. You can enjoy a little walk on the street afterward also!

Cute little local Asian owned diner. Came with the fam because I'm worn out after 3 days with my little ones and didn't want to cook or clean for another meal. There is one lady doing it all up front but she was efficient and took our orders and gave us metal cups, not glass which was much appreciated with my kids here. The pancake special comes with two long pieces of bacon and we got two fried eggs which was perfect to split for my kids. The husband got the fried egg sandwich and I got the croissant sandwich with ham. The food here is decent and the bacon was crispy and not swimming in grease. I liked that the fried eggs were also not oily. The pancakes were also not too small or gigantic. Food came out with a decent time and my coffee was made to order. Great local place on Piedmont Ave and I would definitely come back with a book sans kids to just relax and have a leisurely breakfast or lunch another time.

Pretty good food the it took a little long to come out but it was pretty busy. It smells very good and the bagels are pretty pricey but over all I enjoyed it the atmosphere and the food

Good classic diner, asian owned! This place is no frills, unfussy, has been in the neighborhood for ages. Neighborhood locals and families pop by for a good eat. Love the cozy atmosphere of regulars chatting with the waitresses, bonus donuts displayed for purchase, and the extensive menu of getting pretty much everything you could ever want. Note: This place is NOT an IG influencer spot with cute decor, or a 'vibey' place for a first date. We ordered the #3 (3 egg, bacon, sausage, hash browns and a waffle), and a sausage breakfast burrito w/ salsa on the side. More than enough food for two, took half the burrito home for the next day. Great service from staff, no wait. Steady refills on hot coffee. Looking forward to coming by again for breakfast

We went mainly for drinks and tried a latte, tiramisu latte, and a Spanish latte. The tiramisu latte and Spanish latte were both really good and definitely my favorites. Smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. You can tell the coffee quality is solid. We also tried the matcha drinks in vanilla and strawberry. I liked the strawberry matcha more. It comes unsweetened, so I asked for it to be sweetened and it was great after that. The vanilla matcha was fine too, just not my top pick. They're also dropping a new Ramadan drink soon, a date latte, which sounds really good and I'll probably come back just to try that. Overall, great drinks and a nice place to hang out.

I loved the ambiance, it felt we was in another country. The place was packed I have no idea where everyone parked haha. Very hard to find parking. The Adeni Chai I had was wonderful and I would get again. The lemon pastries I had were good & I would possibly get again. Both cheese pastries & meat pocket I didnt care for so much. I undetstand they are an acquired taste but me being Middle Eastern we have our own versions and I think that's why I didn't like as much. I would definitely go back and try more sweet pastries. They had a large selection I couldn't try them all haha. I would love to try more tea and coffee options as well. Go and try out several different pastries and discover what you like. It's cheaper than buying an airplane ticket to try another countries culture and delights. They also have outside seating which is especially nice on a beautiful day. Pro tip: take an Uber if you can. Parking is hard to get.

Ordered the Ginger Honey Jobani as a hot drink, Biscoff Milkcake, Honeycomb, and a Beef Fatayer. There were several kinds of milkcakes which would have the texture like a tres leches cake. The Honeycomb had pockets of cream cheese and was drizzles with honey. The Meat Fatayer is like an empanada. The food and drink were very tasty.
