Big Bobs already stopped orders @6pm so I jumped in the whip and hit coast hwy. I remember seeing pier pizza and decided to give it a try. Meat pizza, buffalo wings and garlic knots. Presentation looked promising but didn't live up to the hype. Pizza was pretty good actually but not sure if the bacon saved it. Not a $30 pizza. The knots and wings were below average . Knots seemed old and the wings cooked lightly . Bummed. Food doesn't go very far either while looking big portioned Finding a replacement for bobs still goes on. Pier pizzza 3 stars.

Love a little local pizza spot where you can get fresh pizza made to order or by the slice ($4.50) they have canned drinks and beers for purchase to enjoy while you sit in this casual spot watching your team's football game. The prepackage salad was fresh and it's minimally staffed so sometimes the line in the front does get long. Make sure to tip because your cashier is the same one heating up your pizza slices in the oven. As for the pizza itself, it's a soft, yet doughy thin crust - NY style. While everyone is out at the fancy new pizza places I'll def be coming back to this locally owned spot

If you want something inexpensive and quick this is a decent place. The pizza was overly greasy and not really flavorful. It actually felt a bit soggy where I expected some crispness to it being a New York style. The service was friendly and I did like the fruit loop marshmallow Treat.

I noticed the pizza located inside the glass shelves had flies on them, in spite of them having a screen cover. I wouldn't order single pizza from the glass shelves. Service: Pleasant workers, friendly. Ambiance: Has good seats indoor and outdoor. Highly recommend if they keep their doors closed because it is EXTREMELY bad to be selling those pizza slices where flies has landed on them. Unfortunately, I didn't take a video, but I took a picture. The fly is literally on the pizza, trapped inside the glass and net cover

Love their dirtier bird pizza it's always great by the slice or the pie. However I have to take away stars because they completely changed their garlic knots into little bread rolls that unfortunately don't taste nearly as good. Please bring back the knots!

Pier Pizza has been open awhile now and is really consistent and great. Owners are always there. They are busy at lunch. It's great for a quick lunch. Lunch special is 2 slices and a can of soda for $8. Buffalo wings are delish. Garlic knots and soft and yummy. Across from Finney's right off the main Mission intersection in downtown.

Pleasantly surprised by how tasty the pizza is at Pier Pizza! My better half and I grabbed a cheese slice while my kids stuffed their faces with food at the Oceanside Night Market. Thin crust- yes Foldable- yes Good sauce- yes Oil on the plate- yes Customer service was friendly enough- nothing too memorable, but nothing wrong with it. When I'm in the area, I'll stop in!

Oh, I should probably get a review going as we come at least twice a month. This is my favorite by-the-slice pizza spot; the crust is nice and crunchy so the huge pieces aren't floppy and the toppings are fresh. I have tried cheese, all of the pepperoni pizzas, and a white one with basil and tomatoes. The Dirty Bird is my least favorite (it was oddly sweet to me until I learned it has hot honey on top), and one with crisp basil, ricotta and pepperoni is my most favorite. The people who work here are friendly and keep busy, whether cleaning tables, serving patrons, or dancing around each other in the open kitchen... it's a bit chaotic inside but fun for me to watch. The most unideal time for us to visit was close to dark, as loud drunks/obnoxious homeless people hung around on the sidewalk. I much prefer the vibe during lunch hours. Overall, we will be back! Pros: - lunch special - friendly - open kitchen - garlic salt and other self-serve seasonings - great crust and toppings, not greasy! - al fresco and inside dining options Cons: - parking sucks (park at the transit center and walk over) - none really

Pier Pizza has been opened in Downtown Oceanside & it's about time to tell you the truth about this gem. First of all, Pier Pizza is LOCALLY OWNED & OPERATED. This fact alone is such a rarity in the downtown area with all the chains & franchises moving in. Pier Pizza is located on Tremont St, right across & north from the Regal Theater. They are known for their Pizza-by-the-Slice and that makes them a very efficient & cost effective means of grabbing a bite while walking the downtown area. Pier Pizza's menu consists of pizza pies, slices (Sicilian & NY style), chicken wings, salads & garlic knots. They also have sodas, free water, hard soda, hard seltzers, beers & wines. For pizza flavors they have: Cheese, Meat Lovers, Pepperoni, Margherita, Supreme, BBQ Chicken, White Spinach, Buffalo Chicken & their famous Dirty Bird (hot honey drizzle). Honestly, I've had their pizza slices both warm AND cold and I love them BOTH! Nothing is better than a solid pizza as leftovers For those looking for smaller bites, their house salad or Mediterranean salad will do the trick. I also CANNOT recommend their Fresh-Baked Cookies Enough! They are made in-house Daily! I love that their decor is based on the 1950-60's Oceanside Pier and it honors one of the most iconic landmarks on the west coast. Their seating is spacious inside and perfect for couples or, you can combine tables for groups. Their bathroom is also super clean! They have 2 big tv screens for sports fans. All in all, if you love pizza, you ARE coming to Pier Pizza and know that your money is staying local and you'll also be getting great service & delicious pizza!

The sauce was great but it could've used more cheese. ORDER THE DIRTY BIRD!! I didn't think I would like honey on pizza but it's incredible. Perfect combo of savory meats and sweet. We stayed at the mission pacific hotel and wanted quality pizza within a 5 min walk. Ordered online and picked up in 30min! Greeted warmly upon entering the business. Oscar described the pizzas in the showcase and took our order. We decided on the lunch special to share. When he heard us talking that it was my birthday, he gifted me a drink and slice.What a kind, sweet gesture from a thoughtful employee who in my opinion, is definitely an asset to the business! Ordered a Hawaiian pizza and was not impressed. Not sure how this is a 4.5? Maybe a different pizza is better? Bacon, ham, and pineapple was in short supply, bacon was mushy - not crunchy and flavor was just ok. Crust was the best part. read more

Currently my fave slices in Oceanside. Thinner NY style crust that's crispy and not soggy or greasy. Good mix of slices to choose from. Would like to see more options like the ricotta. Slices are a little pricy but that's downtown Oceanside for you. Would love to see a lunch special or combo for folks who aren't taking a whole pie. read more

$58.00 for a cheese pizza and a meat lovers pizza. There was not a lot of meat on the meat lovers. 3 pieces of peperonni per giant slice of pizza. It was tasty but not a good value. This town needs a PaPa Murphy's. I could have gotten much better pizzas for about $25.00. read more

This is my favorite pizza spot in Oceanside! Service is friendly and it's in the middle of downtown Oceanside so the location wise it's convenient. I love their dirty bird since I love anything sweet and salty combination. I also like their margherita pizza (basil/cheese) as well. They have a lunch special with 2 slices and a drink for $8, which is an amazing deal. read more

4.5 stars out 5, only because I saw an employee eating a slice of pizza in the front with the whole world to see. Pizza was great. I ended up having the Dirty Bird - absolutely no complaints. Really casual place to grab pizza. Order at the counter and find a table. Pizza was good but disagree with other comments thst it's like New York pizza crust. It's similar but not like New York pizza. They are a good sized pizza and reasonably priced. The salad was good and fresh. Wish they had a better wine selection. I come here often to get a slice when I'm in downtown Oceanside and the food is always amazing. Today I ordered a pizza and 5 garlic knots, 20 min later I pay for my food and receive what was supposed to be my order one full pizza and a 5 count garlic knots, not 5 orders of garlic knots, I had already paid and told the cashier the problem and all he could tell me was he was " sorry ". I've never had bad service from here I've actually always had amazing service but I'm very unhappy with the service I received today. read more

Went to try the pizza and they had ran out of dough so they only have a few slices left, i waited in line and saw they have one of the meat lovers pizzas left so i wanted to order that one before im given the chance to order one a man who was working in the shop next door comes in and tells the worker to give him that pizza so the girl hooks it up for the guy that's working next door instead of choosing to sell the pizza to me who was waiting in line and a paying customer?! I feel this wasn't right especially that they were already low on pizza wouldn't you rather try to sell the pizzas that you do have instead of hooking it and giving it to the guy next door for free just cause he walks in ignores the line and asks? read more

Went here yesterday, ordered two slices it was delicious so we came back today for more. Ordered a whole pizza, and wanted to try their garlic knots, the cashier or owner whoever he was said that they only sell 5 knots at a time not one. I looked on their menu and it said: 1 knot $1.50. So not sure why lie. But moving on, ordered a pizza, didn't check, got it to go. It was missing pesto sauce, and has too much marinara sauce. Not sure if it's different when you order to go vs eating there. read more

I don't want to say that the ordinary California pizza is less than pizza from New York, but I definitely prefer my New York tasting pizza which I have found at Pier Pizza. l particularly like the cheese pie and the margaritas.. The service is quick, and the guys are friendly. You may know the owner Adam from the souvenir baitshop on the pier. read more

I absolutely love this place. My husband doesn't care for pizza and he loves this place as well. The workers are always so nice and helpful. They're fast. The lunch special is a great deal. My favorite pizza is one of their specials with pepperoni, honey and ricotta cheese. Im about to move and so sad I wont have access to this place anymore. Thank y'all for all the delicious pizza!! Let me tell you -- Pier Pizza is absolutely worth the trip. Yes, parking near the pier can be a bit of a headache, but once you find your spot and make the walk over, you'll be glad you did. Trust me on this one. The pizza itself is where this place really shines. Tons of flavor, not greasy at all, and it holds its shape with very little bend -- they call it New York style, and while the flat crust definitely nods in that direction, I'll be honest: it doesn't quite have that classic New York water taste you'd expect. But here's the thing -- it doesn't need to. The pizza stands completely on its own merits and is genuinely delicious. What I also loved is the variety. They have plenty of options ready to go, plus you can order other items off the menu beyond just pizza. They've even got soda in cans or bottles rather than fountain drinks, which honestly felt a little more old school in the best way. Speaking of old school -- the vibe inside is pure beach city charm. Divey, casual, and full of character, but don't let that fool you. The place is clean and well-organized, and the crew is constantly out there wiping down tables and keeping things fresh for every customer. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Overall, a really great experience from start to finish. If you're in Oceanside, do yourself a favor and make the walk to Pier Pizza. You won't regret it. Enjoy! read more
