My hotel staff recommended this place for a quick, early dinner during a work trip. Short walk to a great location. I sat at the bar because it was crowded, but the service was excellent. So was the happy hour. My appetizer and then my meal came out fast. The bartender kept checking on me, too. The place seems really popular, and I can see why. I'll add that I was talking to some locals I'm working with on this trip the next day, and they kind of warned me about the place because the happy hour changed and there's a limit on how many drafts you can order. The Cuban Pork Pie (distinct from the sandwich) is truly one of the great assemblages of pizza ingredients. It should probably get an award, or ribbon, or something. Spiced, pulled pork, cilantro, jalapenos, pineapple, and crème fraîche is filling and wonderful. I highly recommend it! Service is always prompt and competent, and at dinner times there can be a bit of wait, but it's worth it. One item of note, is that while they offer a gluten-free pizza crust, the prep area is not separate so cross contamination is nearly guaranteed if you have Celiac (as my frequent dining partner does), or other related issue. read more

We ordered pizza, bread sticks, and extra sauces. We didn't get the sauces and the pizza and bread sticks were burnt. When we tried to get in touch with the restaurant it took over an hour to get anyone to answer the phone and they didn't want to help resolve the issue. They offered to send someone out with the sauces we paid for but the pizza was already cold and it wasn't worth the wait. Fantastic pizza! Crispy crust with a hint of burned edges. $25 for a two topping 16" pizza. It's a good thing it was good. Ordered the chips and salsa as a starter, not memorable. On a Saturday night they quoted us an hour wait but it was less than 30 minutes. The only downfall is once we were seated it was in a closed in outside patio space. So even though they had heaters it was cold and drafty when the outside temp is only 10 degrees. You had to eat with your coat on. Service was great. The waitress was very nice and super attentive. They had so many beers on tap but it's almost overwhelming and wasn't sure what to try. Also the beer prices weren't cheap. Didn't want to spend $8 on 16oz of beer that wasn't to my taste. read more

I've been here like 20 times and have only had the "Black Bean Pizza" cause that thang is the straight truth and is always HITTIN' that we don't even bother getting anything else. They have a pretty dope selection of local beers of all ranges, service is knowledgeable on whatever you're feeling. Update: The Morgantown location lost their liquor license because someone forgot to renew it. At least that's the explanation we were given when we went in and the place looked unusually empty for a Friday evening. It is currently (temporarily?) closed after they tried just selling food and N.A. drinks for a few weeks. It seems they may really be in a mess right now. Huge shame. read more

Thank you Yelpers for helping me pick a solid place for lunch on our way through Morgantown. We went for lunch on a Thursday in August . Pizzas were excellent. I had Shrimp Sriracha on GF crust snd hubby had the Italian on regular crust. Service was very attentive, nice atmosphere snd very clean. Unfortunately the Caesar salad with chicken was inedible. See photo. The lettuce was drowning in dressing and what we though were burned croutons turned out to be dry burned chicken. This would be four stars if not for the salad. I didn't know what I wanted for dinner so I was walking around the plaza and found this hidden gem. I was not sure I wanted this for dinner but the staff was very courteous and let me look at the menu and told me where to order to go orders if I was ready. I stayed in the restaurant and asked Haylie which pizza she would choose and I chose her suggestion minus the jalapeños. We stayed nearby and saw the good Yelp reviews. It was busy so we decided to sit at the bar! The bartender was very friendly! We ordered a few IPAs and looked over the menu! We started with the smoked wings! Delish! The had a great slickness to them but not overwhelming! We picked the grape and Gorgonzola with Rosemary and olive oil! OMG was that good!!! "Big feels" for this place and Caroline the waitress. We walked in at 9:45pm on a week night thinking it was open until 11 as it was stated on the door and website. However, we were made aware that the information was incorrect and that they were closing at 10. After sharing why we showed up that late, Caroline went above and beyond to seat us at the bar and offered us a couple appetizer and salad choices that they could offer us even though the kitchen closed. 02/22/2019 Date of visit Our first time to Morgantown had us looking to Yelp for a dinner place. We found Pies and Pints with 4.5 stars and located in the same shopping center as our hotel. What a great decision we made. We ordered the CAESAR SALAD Crisp romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese & house-made croutons, tossed in caesar dressing ~ anchovies optional! We shared the small...which was actually huge and absolutely delicious!! The garlic with the anchovies mixed with the crisp romaine were amazing flavors. We then shared the small PINE & SWINE Fresh pineapple, red onions, applewood smoked bacon, feta & tomato sauce!! I have no words, except for it was amazing!!! Probably the only downfall is I do feel like this restaurant is a little pricey for pizza. The 10" is $15. But that being said it was an amazing meal. read more

We had a fantastic visit to Pies & Pints on our recent visit to Morgantown WV. I chose this restaurant because of the gluten free and dairy free options. Our waitress, Caroline, was great and made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my allergy friendly meal. My pizza was delicious, including the reheated leftovers the next day. Last year, I was in the area to help my sister move in to her dorm for her first year at WVU. Before we flew into town, I looked up places to eat. Pies & Pints came up on Trip Advisor and so I made it my mission to come here and eat with my sister. I was not disappointed. We were seated right away inside the restaurant. The waitress was super friendly. She asked if it was our first time and gave us recommendations. We started out with the garlic bread. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I got their House Root Beer and that was so good! We ordered 2 small pizzas for ourselves. I got mine with Pepperoni, Sausage, and Ham. It was a perfect meal. I flew back home the next day, and for a year, I had been craving Pies & Pints. So I made it my mission to go again this year. And I did! I was there on August 11th! Again with my sister and she invited her friends. We ordered the same garlic bread with the marinara sauce. OOF MADONN! FRICKING FANTASTIC. I got the root beer again. And I also got a Chimay Blue. It is always a plus whenever a restaurant carries the best beer in the world. We got small pizzas for ourselves again. One of my sister's friends got a sandwich though. I added red onions this time. So. Damn. Delicious. I wish there was a Pies & Pints in Southern California. The staff was amazing as usual. God I really love this place. Tucked deep in the town center mall is tje awesome restaurant. It hip and cozy and tje staff is top notch. Sports on all the flat screens and lots of beer choices. With a funky pizza selection my sweetheart waitress suggested getting half of 2 different kinds which is available only on a large pie. I got the Thia shrimp and chicken gouda, two flavor packed delicious choices. They have a pulled pork pie and an eggplant as well which made it so hard to choose. I enjoyed the thin crispy crust which holds up to the toppings but is not to filling. Another positive is the pie came out quick and hot and they put it on a stand that lets it stay warm and gives the table a bit more room. Come here for a slice and a beer! read more

We have been coming to Pies and Pints in Morgantown for several years and usually get very good service and the pizzas/salads have always been good. The last two times we ordered take out and both times the pizza crust was overcooked and there were almost no toppings on either pizza. I didn't complain the first time, but last night had the same thing happen on our 1/2 street corn, 1/2 margerita, we ended up throwing it in the trash. I rarely complain about food/service but this was twice in a row. I called to voice my complaint last night, and was told by an associate that the manager would contact me that night to resolve, but I was not contacted. Pies & Pints is one of my favorite pizza places. I first discovered Pies and Pints when rockclimbing at the New River Gorge in Fayetteville, WV, which is their first location. I've never been disappointed with their pizzas. They serve hand-tossed pizzas and the crusts has a garlic seasoning. So good! I usually prefer thick crust pizzas with tomato sauce, but their Mushroom & Garlic pizza and their Steak & Mushroom pizza is to die for! They use actual steak and it isn't overcooked or dry. Every time I go to Pies and Pints, I tell myself to try a new topping, but always end up getting one of the two. Can't help it. I am a mushroom lover! I've also tried the Thai pizza, which has shrimp and coconut curry. It was good, but I'm not crazy for sweet pizzas. If you get a large pizza, you can get half toppings. Really good pizza and equally good wait staff. I was roaptripping through West Virginia and popped in. It was pretty busy, but I got a bar seat right away. I was greeted by two super friendly bartenders. Ordered a framboise and it was delicious. I bought a half grape and gorganzola and half mushroom garlic. It was delicious too. Who knew grapes on a pizza would be so good? I had mentioned it was my birthday and they offered me a complimentary birthday cheesecake to go. How nice! read more
