Terrible place. Sorry to say it may be racist. I ordered a medium well classic burger. They gave me a plain bun with a well done burger. no onion, lettuce, or tomato. Then I told the waitress. They made me wait 10 mins by the time they got to me they gave me a cold slice of store bought cheese on a plate along with lettuce, onion and tomato! Like it just don't make sense and the entire staff was by the bar just giggling and laughing. I went with my son this Sunday 7/12 and I will never set my foot in again. My friend was performing here with an Irish dancing group on St Patrick's Day and the staff was fantastic! I told the hostess I was here to grab a drink and see my friend dance and she got me a great table right where they would be dancing. The service was quick and even though they knew that we would be in and out for a quick drink, we felt taken care of. They had cider on tap, which I always appreciate as someone who isn't a beer fan! We had a Jack and Coke, which tasted funny; so we stuck with draft beer instead. For food, we ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wings ($18), Irish Mac & Cheese Bites ($16), and side of Fries ($9). The food was super pricey for what you get. The wings only had 7 pieces and mac & cheese were 6 pieces. It really wasn't anything special nor worth the value. Had good times here previously and given the proximity to the offices in midtown, we came here to continue a night out sending off a colleague heading off to greener pastures. But for some reason the bartender was basically ignoring drink orders despite a couple hundred dollars of food and drinks already ordered. They might be benefiting from a good location between Penn and GCT but it's still obnoxious when they're acting like they're too good for patrons st 10pm. We were not excessively rowdy so there was no perceivable reason to disrespect our group. We had some real estate at the bar but there was not shortage of attempted orders and the place wasn't anywhere near full so it's not like we were blocking other patrons. We shouldn't have to fight to put in drink orders and ignore blatant disrespect when we're trying to spend more money. They can do better and so can you. read more

We popped into this historic and interesting pub on a Sunday, after walking around the city for a while. We had already eaten brunch, so we were not hungry, but we were interested in getting a cocktail and seeing if we could watch Formula One. At this time of day, the pub was not crowded at all, nice and open, and the bartender was very nice and accommodating. He found the F1 race for us - put it on the TV that was closest to us. I came here on a date and someone who appeared to be a barback- wearing staff clothing and coming from the kitchen- approached my date and me and started speaking Spanish. I brought up my Latin heritage, to which he commented to my date that Latinas usually have a big chest and small butt, or big butt and small chest, and he was lucky because I had a pretty face but only one of the two. He asked to physically touch me before saying this- I said NO- and he did anyway, and before he made his final comment on my physical build, I was waving my hands saying, "Please don't rate my body!". I became very upset, to which the man behind the bar who seemed to be in charge (pictured below) proceeded to tell me his employee simply had "approached me the wrong way" and "no harm was intended". He asked me why I was upset and seemed to think it was no large problem that my body was objectified and rated by an employee. Despite the fact that this employee- (Latino, short, long black hair, mustache and beard), was wearing an employee uniform and had come from the back, said manager argued he was just like any other patron, and what was he supposed to do if a patron had harassed me? He assured me he would ask him to leave- to return to his shift with no issue the next day. I was gaslit, told I was complimented and had not been harmed. I am completely disgusted by the actions of this employee and his manager. I asked for the name of the employee who harassed me and was not given it. There were witnesses and the manager heard himself from the employee about his inappropriate behavior. read more

Stopped in for lunch with some friends. I ordered the French onion soup which was very good not salty with a good layer of cheese on top of homemade croutons. I also ordered the Buffalo egg rolls which were not to my liking, not sure if there was a seasoning I didn't like or the combination of flavors. Our server was able to remove them from our bill. The chicken sandwich had two large crispy friend chicken patties with a sweet and tangy sauce. Very good as were the French fries that came with it. The fries tasted like good boardwalk fries. I did not try the sliders but was told they were very good and the bacon jam was amazing. The atmosphere here for the rugby world cup has been incredible. Fans from all over the world have been packing the Pig to eat, drink, and cheer. The bar itself is full of rugby memorabilia. It is extremely large by Manhattan standards, but always seems to be overflowing out into the street during matches. Good thing they have an upstairs bar and an outside one as well. The food is surprisingly good for a pub this busy. I have had the meat pie with fries a few times, but the cassoulet was really good. Plenty of duck and sausage in a bean stew was a great base for all the Bronx hazy IPAs. I highly recommend this bar, especially if you watch rugby and it is so convenient to penn station for all the commuters. read more

Went in for two drinks and the initial experience was great. But for round two, I sat at the bar, which had maybe 5 people, for at least ten minutes. The bartender didn't acknowledge me at all. Im ok with a glance and acknowledgement and happy to wait. I was worried he didn't see me and I met a patron who knew him and told me his name so I said "hey Jamal!" With a smile. Jamal looked at me and said sternly, "I saw you don't go calling my name." Not ok. I waited again then ordered our drinks then when he brought them I mentioned I wasn't trying to be rude I just didn't know if he saw me (he was busy flirting with girls at the end of the bar, btw) and he rolled his eyes and gave me a dirty look and didn't respond. Really enjoyed this bar a few blocks from Penn Station. Bigger than expected, this is a Rugby bar with plenty of bar seating and dining seating. They had some good drink specials including the Razzle Dazzle(Raspberry Vodka, Cran + Sprite). They also had a Pigs n Whistle for $6 that really blew me away with how much I enjoyed it. Or their mixers are not cold? By the time we got our cocktails it was basically served "neat" with three disengaged ice cubes on top.....yuck on you for what 7 or 8 dollar drinks? Our server Lauren was great!!!. To bad for them there are plenty of options. And btw at midnight on a friday the "manager" would lock the door everytime someone left. A great venue to watch rugby games. It's often hard to find somewhere that reliably shows all the rugby, but these guys have made sure to show every game and the setup with a variety of TVs and big screens plus a second level upstairs make it a very good destination for the games. They do standard bar food which is decent, and have a good crowd. read more
