The reviews pulled us in for a lunch outside but we decided to dine inside instead. I wouldn't say the establishment is very family friendly, or at least not infant friendly. There's not much room to move around without bumping into other tables. Service was great and the staff really seemed to work well together. The food was super fresh, you could tell all the ingredients were intentionally chosen. I'm not sure if coffee is on the menu, but when I went to order some, after having seen the espresso machine, I was told they couldn't make it. For that reason and the space issue, I only gave 4 stars! We will be back!

New-ish spot in downtown Rockport serving breakfast, lunch and selling packaged goods including olive oils, cheese, crackers etc. The dining area is small but had a lively lunch crowd when we dropped in on a Tuesday. Food was good with lots of items that read well. We had the caprese toast, crab and shrimp salad and Hipster grilled cheese that came with ham, arugula, Muenster cheese on Texas toast. A full meal. Wine and beer selections are limited but with intention and well focused. We will be back when next in Rockport. Give them a try.

Took a friend visiting from Austin early on a Friday. Place was packed had to wait patiently for a table after placing our order. No problem, found one real quick. Shared the Pik-Nik Chicken salad on a ciabatta so very yummy. Also purchased a side of basil pesto bow tie pasta, really good. And for dessert we shared the Banana Pudding. Pretty good stuff all wrapped up in a petite historical building. Really love the ambiance even has small outdoor covered patio (side of the building). Friendly, fast service

Tasty deli in a historic building in Rockport. Very fresh.

Pik-Nik was a surprisingly charming find in Rockport. Set in a historic building, this restaurant offers fresh, unique sandwiches, soups, and other items. There is also a large array of wines. The young lady who welcomed us and explained the menu was so welcoming. Though not large, the space was cute and felt comfortable to sit and have our lunch. They will also fix you a specialty picnic basket to take to the beach.

This place was very good! The Italian sub WAS TO DIE FOR!!! So good. The ONLY reason I give is a 4/5 is the chicken salad was very mediocre, a little dry, and wasn't super flavorful, the wait was 45 minutes for two sandwiches (which we had no idea until we had already ordered and 25 minutes in we were wondering where our food was, so I wish they would have just told us in the beginning), and the girl who took our order wasn't super friendly and slightly annoyed when we had questions, BUT everyone else was super nice! And the manager was so nice too!!!! I would definitely come back!

Quiche trio sampler - really tasty!

The inside is clean and inviting. They are very welcome to dogs and support animal welfare organizations it looks like! We of course had to have two flights - one beer, one wine. I can't completely recall my order - the wines I remember trying were blackberry, raspberry, watermelon, and the "muscles and tattoos(?)." Every single one was amazing. I personally adored the blackberry, and my partner - who usually is not a huge wine fan at all - adored the watermelon wine. My palate isn't really built for beer, so three of the four samples we had were just good to me. There were subtle differences in the hoppiness which I really liked for dimension. There is one that stood out which was a pickle beer... if you tried the Best Maid beer and you were traumatized by how gross it is, please try this beer to recover. It is absolutely incredible. We had to buy a 4-pack to go. Speaking of which! There's also the option to take a "batch" of something you enjoyed home. It is a touch expensive, but for good reason, and if I lived closer I probably would have done that with the blackberry wine! Also, the bartender was incredible. I didn't get his name but whoever was there on the 10th around 7pm, you're super cool! Service, from getting his attention, to our order being prepared, to getting the tab completed/souvenirs bought, took no time at all. I'll have to come back down from Dallas for sure.

That will prevent me from probably going back whenever I'm in town. I would think that most of the population nowadays is non-smoking so I would not allow smoking at the bar where most people wanna sit, but maybe outside on the lower level where the grass area is. Put some tables and what not out there. The wings I had the second night were not cooked through. This really could be a great location with the smoking I think is gonna kill most of the business that would go there. Just my feedback.

I was expecting a robust menu with a variety of yummy tapas to choose from. The menu was underwhelming with appetizers, not tapas, and a limited menu. A wine menu was provided, but a cocktail menu, or beer selected were not offered or available. We ordered a salad and appetizers. The salad was good and the best part of the meal. We also ordered the crab nachos and the bacon wrapped shrimp. Cute names on the menu, but unfortunately, again underwhelming and lacking flavor. The nachos were bland, with little flavor or seasoning. The most exciting part of the nachos were the thinly sliced jalapeños. The bacon wrapped shrimp were more flavorful with a red chutney/salsa. Tasty, but how can you go wrong with shrimp and bacon. Dessert was the best part of the meal. Our waiter brought over a hand written dessert menu. Hard to read the print, but he explained all the desserts. We had a brownie and ice cream dish that was delicious. Overall, cute place, great concept, great service but just "ok". Probably wont be back...unfortunately.....wanted it to work.
