Cool dive bar with live music sometimes. The bartender was a little weird towards us, but overall we still had fun. Cool decor inside and outside too.

$5 Busch all day everyday Live music Outdoor seating Frose The Pike is a happy collision of seafood-forward comfort food, craft cocktails, and a fun, cultural vibe led by live entertainment--all without feeling pretentious. It's casual enough for lunch or late-night bites, yet polished enough for date night or gathering with friends. Highly recommended if you're in the LBC area and craving good eats, cold drinks, and good tunes. Pros: Inventive cocktails, standout seafood options, solid craft beer lineup, nightly entertainment Cons: Can get noisy when bands play; brunch lines on the weekend can be steep Overall: A delightful 4.5-star experience--I'll absolutely be back for more lobster chimichangas and mojitos. The atmosphere: Industrial‑chic with plenty of plants, exposed brick, and string lights--clean, inviting, and lively thanks to the nightly live entertainment (Wednesday DJs, weekend bands) * Cocktails: A diverse summer menu that included creative house cocktails like the Eternal Bloom (orange blossom gin with prickly pear + honey) and Thai Me Up (lemongrass‑ginger‑chili!)--well‑balanced and refreshing * Beer/wine selection: A nice mix of local taps (Long Beach Beer Lab, Beachwood IPA) alongside classic bottles and cans--a solid range for different palates What's on the Plate: * Lobster Chimichanga: Creamy and indulgent, served with their signature spicy shrimp sauce. * Spicy Seafood Pasta: A winner with shrimp and scallops in a rich, slightly spicy sauce--perfect comfort food. * Pike Fries & Chili Cheese Fries: Crispy, satisfying bar snacks--great shareables with just enough kick. Staff were attentive and friendly without hovering. The bartenders seemed genuinely proud of their cocktail creativity, explaining seasonal specials and making thoughtful suggestions. When to Go: * Happy Hour weekdays: Great for discount drinks and snacks. * Weekend brunch: Full menu starts at 10AM--featuring bloody marys, brunch shots, and fun morning energy. * Live evenings: A true highlight--they're more than just a restaurant; they're a destination for music lovers

Came here with a friend for lunch and had a really nice time. I had fried shrimp and it was really good. My friend had a clam chowder bread bowl and really liked it. We hung out for a few beers as well before we went to head out shopping. The bartender was really cool and I really like the atmosphere here. I hate to use the word dive but I don't mean in badly. It's somewhere that you can feel comfortable and just hang. No pretense, no judgements, just chill. I'll be back.

I went to the Pike Restaurant & Bar recently. I went to see an artist perform. I ended up dining in. I had a Shrimp Po'Boy with a side of fries and soda. My meal was delicious. I like the decor of the place. I also like that there is ample seating indoors and outdoors.

Came here on a sunday for some brunch. Place had a really cool relaxing vibe. The food was so amazing. My boyfriend loved his burrito and my salmon salad was so delicious. A great piece of fish cooked perfectly. Surface was spot on and very friendly. I would love to come back on one of the nights. They have live music. Seems like such a fun place.

Cool spot, dive bar vibe. Had some late night food. Was ok around 11 pm. The fries were interesting but good. Wonderful service. Would come back.

Super fun spot my friends and I found when we were in the area. Loved the vibe of the restaurant and was happy to see vegetarian items on the menu:)

Feels more like a dive bar than restaurant but in a good way! Order food at the bar in the evenings. Went when it was extremely busy on a Saturday night with live band and the vibe was really fun! Food came out very fast and the bussers check if you need anything fairly often. Food itself is okay, wouldn't go here if it wasn't mostly for a drink I always get the shrimp n chips or their salad(big portion with protein) and fries. Drinks are always good and generous

Combo plate and frosé is winning combo

1pm on a Sunday is very chill. Server was great and attentive, answered a ton of my questions about substitutions. Also got the clam chower which was very good. The fish is perfectly cooked in the combo plate. Im not big on fries but my partner loves them here. Frosé is always delicious. Its a dive bar with a ton of history. Its a LB staple and I hope it always will be.

Root beer although they have a full bar so it's never too early to start with a beer

Amazing ! We were craving chowder and Pike's delivered. Super friendly pet friendly. We came for lunch but I'm sure it's even more fun at night with the patios, full bar and live music. Food was delicious - highly recommend coming here.

Driven by too many times, finally stopped in. Seems like a pretty cool little dive bar type vibe. Good music. The food was ok, fish and chips were pretty decent. I think there was only one server working the bar and the tables and she was doing an excellent job. The prices are great, and also lots of cool memorabilia and pictures all over.

One of the highlights is their Thai tea, which is served with a popsicle and seems to be one of their most popular items for good reason. It's fun, unique, and absolutely delicious. I also tried the salmon curry, which was something new for me, and I ended up loving it. The flavors were rich, balanced, and unlike anything I've ordered before. Another unexpected favorite was the wings. I'm usually not a big wings person, but these were surprisingly good--crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. Overall, the food, drinks, and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. It's a spot I would absolutely come back to and one that I would definitely recommend to others.

Kin was one of the only restaurants open until 10 PM. We were seated right away, and somehow the five of us sat in a private room. It was kind of late for me to eat anything really heavy so I just have my usual salad and it was the beef tenderloin salad. They serve it up with a lot of beef and less veggies. The beef itself was a little chewy and in large pieces. I prefer the meat to be cut a little smaller and would like more lettuce and cucumber. I got a little taste of the spicy fried rice, which was really good. Some of us ordered Thai tea and didn't expect what we received, which was the tea with a Thai tea popsicle. What a treat! The Thai tea itself was pretty standard, but that popsicle was like the icing on a cake. The places, modern and clean. Staff is helpful and nice. Parking is their own lot but can be difficult to get a spot on a busy day or night.

This place popped up, and it was happy hour. So we thought why not. We got lucky and found parking close (rare for that street). And walked over and immediately loved the vibe. We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. It felt like we were in an old industrial building. We were surprised that it was pretty empty when we got up there. We sat at the bar, and love the decor upstairs too. There's a view of the street from up there as well that's beautiful. The bartender greeted us fairly quickly, and we each ordered a speciality cocktail on their happy hour. Both were delicious. I will say that the prices are a bit steep for me. Very glad we came during the happy hour. But really want to return to try the food and more drinks. Maybe on a special date night out!

Visually, the burger was impressive and looked exactly like something you'd want to dig into. However, the salt level was overwhelming to the point where I genuinely could not finish it. What made matters worse was that our server was not attentive with refilling our waters, and when you're working through an extremely salty dish, hydration isn't optional. I left the meal feeling dehydrated and honestly a little frustrated. The bright spot of the visit was the Brussels sprouts, which were genuinely well done and showed some real kitchen care. If I were to return, I'd probably stick to the vegetable sides. For a restaurant with a 4 PM lull and minimal table traffic, there's no excuse for that level of inattentiveness. A simple water refill and a quick check in would have saved the experience. As it stands, the combination of an over salted entrée and absent service made for a tough sell on the value. If you're in the area craving a burger, you might want to save your money and head down the street to Louis Burger instead. Ellie's may shine in other areas; I've heard good things about the pasta, but this particular visit missed the mark.
