Create Your Own - Large Bowl (~$18)
    Aya E.

Ordered: Create Your Own - Large Bowl (~$18 on UberEats): purple rice, proteins: salmon, ahi tuna, shrimp, mix-ins: cucumber, sweet onion, scallion, toppings: seaweed salad, crab salad, and masago, sauces: spicy mayo and yuzu wasabi, crunches: onion crisps and wonton crisps Aya's take: Definitely the best poke spot in Hoboken! I'm a self-proclaimed poke connoisseur and love me a good poke bowl! To start off, I love that they have purple rice as an option here. I usually get brown rice at poke places but purple rice is definitely superior. All the fish were very fresh and lightly coated with the sauces and mix-ins. It could've used a bit more sauce in my opinion, but otherwise really good. Speaking of the sauces, the spicy mayo and yuzu wasabi is a great combination of creamy, spicy, and salty. It balances the fresh elements of the bowl very well. The crab salad tasted fresh and the seaweed salad portion could've been a bit more generous. All in all, poke is one of my not-so-cheat meals and Piki Poke will be my go-to!

Decent poke in Hoboken! It had a few inside and outdoor table seating. Choices were not outstanding, but it fulfilled the urge to get poke this day. I made my own and packed it with whatever I wanted. Their wifi was interestingly the answer to a math problem lol.

    My poke bowl DoorDash Order
    Hannah M.

I ordered a build your own poke bowl on DoorDash and this was so amazing. The fish was fresh and the portions were very generous. The carry out bag is so cute and the poke bowl lid was secured with rubber bands which ensured the food didn't spill out of the container. Highly recommended if you're craving a poke bowl!

Food was really good. Orders are placed via a touch screen, and the restaurant including restroom was clean. Parking is via the street for a fee. I would have given five stars but because your order is taken on the monitor, there is no interaction with the employees. They are behind a clear glass partition. The employees did not speak when we came in, nor did they offer any help when I was stalled at the monitor for a while, and they did not speak while we were leaving. Customer service can make or break an experience. Our bowl was really good so we would return if we were in the area.

All for the poke here! I've done pick up and take out here and the employees here look like they try to work as efficiently and quickly as possible. Will get busy during lunch and dinner but worth the wait if you order there (which is done through an ipad which makes it super easy). They also have outdoor dining. I've done variations of the two protein poke. I would definitely look at their menu ahead of time to get an idea of what you want because there are so just many options to add into your poke. All at a very reasonable price! I am a fan of the kale noodle with tuna and salmon. You definitely won't leave hungry here! My go to for sure for Hoboken poke.

    Reem I.

I'd gladly make the drive out to Hoboken from Passaic county to get this poke. The place is almost sterile from how clean it is. There's a self serve iPad where you put in your order. Employees work fast and efficiently to make the order to perfection. They never make a mistake despite all the additions I put. The seafood I always so fresh no matter what time of day. I always make my own brown with kale noodles and 2 proteins- it's soo filling. I end up sharing or having left overs.

Two Create Your Own Poke Bowl with 2 Proteins: double salmon, spicy mayo, quinoa, edamame, kale, scallions, masago, and sesame seeds!

We sat at the bar, which was actually kind of fun because we could watch them prepare all the food right in front of us. Everything we had was really good and full of flavor. It was definitely something different than your typical taco place. The drinks were very good too and about average strength. Prices were pretty much what you would expect for Chelsea Market and NYC, so no real surprises there. One of the best parts of our visit was the service. Everyone was super friendly and attentive and really made it a great experience. The food came out fresh and everything we tried was really tasty. Overall, this was a really cool find. Great food, good drinks, a fun atmosphere and top-notch service. If you're walking through Chelsea Market and want to try something a little different, I definitely recommend stopping at Takumi Taco. So we ordered right away when we sat down. We told them in advance someone in our party couldn't have any aioli or crema cause they were allergic. It didn't seem to matter, they brought out over half the dishes with aioli/crema so we had to send them back. When we sent them back the short guy at the cash register gave me a death glare and was shaking his head and staring at me in disdain - as if I was the one who prepared it improperly... This same guy when we ordered was super rude with any dish/taco we inquired about. Then at 850pm, he started shooing everyone out when almost everyone (the bar area was 3/4 full) was still eating and/or drinking and told them they had to leave immediately... some people had just gotten their food and were stunned that he was so adamant about everyone leaving so abruptly, claiming "security was going to lock them into the restaurant" if people weren't out in 2min- it clearly states that they don't close until 9pm... this unpalatable individual was shorter than everyone else with a beard and hat if management wants to reprimand him for having 0 customer service/hospitality (he was also a cashier - the guy who took our order wasn't as bad, but his coworker was so rude it overshadowed everything). The tacos were awful (made the mistake of not going to Los Tacos instead...), and I'm irritated I tipped over 20% to be treated like shit. DO NOT GO HERE!! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Service: You can order a pre-set bowl or make your own to your liking. The person waited patiently until I was ready to order without any pressure. He also made sure to give me a recommendation for my bowl for the sauce as I was unsure which one to take between Hawaiian and Siracha. Food: Well if you take the ratio of price to portio, I would say its pretty expensive for a small bowl. I would give it a TINY size And after I finished eating I felt like I was not full yet. The ingredients were fresh, but the cut size are not consistent for example the salmon pieces were little bit too big, and pineapple slices were too small, while the avocado was just a scope which made it annoying to cut through.

While the staff did an amazing job preparing everything, the food itself was a bit underwhelming. The rice was mushy, the seaweed didn't taste very fresh, and the burrito was dry, which masked the flavor of the proteins. We also tried the pre-made lobster bomb from the fridge, but it was soggy; I'd recommend asking for a fresh one if possible. The food is decently priced and reasonable given the promotions on Uber Eats and tastes fine, but the enumerated flaws are quite cumbersome and difficult to overlook. (Sushi Burrito: F) - Unfortunately, this burrito fell through not only in standards but physically through the wrapping as it was not properly sealed in the first place. While I think the flavors and contents are reasonable, the unwrapped burrito felt like just trying to eat a poke bowl in your hands which does not work. I would not recommend offering a sushi burrito if it cannot be properly wrapped as one. (Spicy Crab Salad: F) - I would not call this a salad but more so sesame seeds, masago dumped on top of some imitation crab. While others have certainly made this work in the past, this dish was just incomplete as its missing both a base (salad, rice, or both works) and some interesting textural contrasts normally found in a salad such as tempura flakes and cucumber. They have all the items to make a better version of this, but the execution whoever designed this menu just either didn't think this through or didn't taste it. (Chicken Potstickers: D) - I was pleasantly surprised by that sweet yuzu ginger dipping sauce that was quite pleasant. I think that sauce works well as a topping, but perhaps as a flavor booster for a salad or poke bowl rather than these dumplings as they are already light to begin with and definitely needs something like a ponzu or wasabi soy to drive the flavor. (Black Tonkotsu Ramen: D) - The main part, the broth of this Tonkotsu actually has some nice pork development that gives the soup a powerful richness. There are some specifics that could be improved such as the color of that pork as it just looks underdeveloped in color, and in turn, flavor. However, the biggest issue is the poor packaging of this , where the broth does not stay in its container, making this quite messy for takeout. I feel that the containers need to be better and perhaps wrapping them in a plastic bag for extra security would be helpful. -- Food: -1 Presentation: -1 Price: E Overall: -2 D Insta/Beli: @amei_eats
