On that visit, I went to purchase panniers & bike lights. Phil offered great recommendations and installed everything I purchased. These folks are tops. Extreme personalized service. I felt as if I was the most important customer for the day. As I was leaving I observed them giving the next customer the same kind of attention. Few years back I was a struggling single mother, in search of an inexpensive way to improve my health and lose weight. All I could afford at that time was a cheap bike from Wal-Mart. After riding it for about 6 months, the brakes needed a slight adjustment. The only way I had to get the bike to this shop was to lay down the seats in my old Mazda 626, and load up this heavy bike into the small trunk (with part of the bike sticking out the back) I attached it with bungee cords to lug it to this shop. After I unloaded it, wheeled it in the shop, I was greeted with this reply to my request, and I quote. Phil stated " Oh those braking systems on those bikes are crap, I wont even fiddle with it". ?????????????? REALLY? He didnt even look at it to see what it needed at all!! Is this any way to treat, ANY, customer? I think NOT! I feel as a business owner, one should treat the low end bike owner, the same as the high end bike owner. Whether or not you will only make a few dollars on my service.... MY WORD OF MOUTH IS JUST AS POWERFUL AN ADVERTISING TOOL AS THE NEXT GUY!! I had to wheel my bike out, and load the heavy thing back into my small trunk.......all for naught. It was a bitter experience to say the least. I have never been back. read more

Took my sons bicycle to them as his seat and seat post had been stolen. With only 30 minutes left to closing, they installed everything and reseated his tires that were in need of adjusting. His tires had been flattened at school and he walked his bike home causing the inner tubes to slide a bit. My son learned that not everything shiny or new is the best and its the people that count. Ended the day on a positive experience. Great people. read more

We don't live in Tucson but visit often and this is our "go-to" shop. For several years we rented bikes from them for short visits to town. Bikes were in great shape, they delivered them and picked them up, were friendly, helpful, everything you could ask for. This year we visited for a month and with a great deal of guidance and help from Jessie and Gary we shipped our own bikes. We had them disassembled and packed by a bike shop where we live and shipped them directly to the shop (at their suggestion). Gary put them back together for us, gave each a terrific tune-up (best they've ever had), and stored our shipping containers for us. At the end of the month we took the bikes back to the shop and left them with Gary to disassemble, pack up, and hand off to the shippers. It was great! We will definitely do that again. We wish they were our local shop, but having them in a place we visit often is the next best thing! read more

Very friendly kind service. Reasonable to get my flat tire fixed in a jiffy and I was supplied with maps of the local area and he took the time to explain the trails around the city. Great locally owned bike shop. Phil and Judy are super friendly and are generous with advice. They never do work that is not needed. Here is an example of their service: on Sunday night someone cut our cables and stole 3 of 4 wheels (both rear wheels) on our mountain bikes. We took the bikes in on Tuesday and they were ready for us on Wednesday at FAR less money than we expected. read more

Great, knowledgeable shop! Really the most personal bike shop experience you can get in Tucson! It's nice that they are kinda geared towards commuters, and they often have nice consignments too. These folks are willing to help you find any obscure part you need for whatever project, and are more than willing to give you advice about doing your own wrenching. read more

Family owned and operated. Great service, great prices, friendly folks. Phil and Judy are stand up people who don't nickel and dime you. Quite the contrary, they always suggest ways to save some dough. They don't sell new bikes here, only used/consignment bikes. Keeps their overhead low and they definitely pass the savings on to the customers. They are VERY knowledgeable and skilled bicycle mechanics. No reason to go to any other shop in town for service or advice. Oh, and their CD player always has great stuff on rotation, too! read more
