Husband brought me here for a Saturday night date night after we realize The Cliff restaurant had extremely loud live music. We've passed by this place so many times and never realized we've never tried so decided to give it a shot and it was an ell worth it! They were quick to seat us and is dog friendly. Ordered their mezze plater and grilled octopus to start. Portions were very generous and absolutely delish! Especially the baba ghanoush, which had this great smoky flavor to it. The grilled octopus was grilled to perfection. It was not chewy, and it was full of flavor. We then ordered the lamb shank. Generous portion that we could easily split between the two of us. The server was wonderful and super kind. And we love the ambience of the restaurant and the decor. Everything was priced well within reason for being in the heart of Laguna Beach. Best meal we had in three days in Laguna Beach. The menu seems like it might be any average Mediterranean place but this restaurant goes above and beyond. The filet mignon beef kebabs were tender, very tasty, and a huge portion. They came with FRESHLY MADE pita still puffy from the oven, plus little dishes of excellent hummus and tzatziki. The place has a chic vibe. It's located right on the main drag, easy to walk to. Our only quibble was that the server neglected to mention the lamb chop special, which we definitely would've ordered if we'd known it existed. read more

My wife and I joined a family dinner and we all really enjoyed our meal. We started off with hummus and babaghanoush starters with pita bread. The hummus and babaghanoush were terrific. Alot of places don't get hummus right in my opinion: not creamy enough with a robust flavor. Pinafini got it right. For our mains, I ordered The Cappellini (angel hair pasta with sauteed shrimp, diced tomatoes, scallion, chili flakes and basil). It was very good and spicy --- which I really like. My wife got the spaghetti bolognese (ground beef with tomato sauce served with rigatoni pasta and parmesan). It had a rich, deep flavor. For dessert, we had a big slice of Lebanese cake --- a cold, creamy cake covered in pistachios. Our server was wonderful --- she was very friendly, helpful, warm and made us feel welcomed. Ambiance, service, food, vibes- 10/10. I went on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy. I got seated at a table with a lovely ocean view. I ordered the Greek salad with chicken and my only complaint is it was a bit small and had way too many olives. I had a glass of Sancerre to drink and that was great. My mom comes in here a few times a week to get me food to go. This place has the absolute BEST hummus I've ever had and that is why my mom gets it three times a week. That is how amazing it is. Plus the people on the phone when placing our order to go are always kind, courteous, professional, and if there is a problem, they will fix it. The managers are so nice and if there ever is a problem, they're understanding they treat you with respect and they always keep their word that they will fix the problem and they do. The quality of food is amazing and just the people who work there are so lovely and wonderful. I highly recommend this place if you want great food, a beautiful atmosphere and such wonderful, professional, kind hard-working employees to help make your dining experience elevated to the next level. Pinafini opened in February of 2025 occupying the former space of Tortilla Republic. We had excellent service. Highly recommend the humus and pita bread. This would be an excellent place for lunch with our friends after a club meeting although it's a bit pricey. read more

Excellent location, gorgeous views of the ocean, beautiful interior design with exceptional architecture, beautiful furniture & lighting. I love everything about this place, now let me tell you about the FOOD. Wow talk about flavor, fresh ingredients, and presentation of food and drinks. My husband had the filet mignon beef Brochette and I had the Mediterranean Mezze. My favorite cocktail Berry mojito Bacardi & Omre the bartender made it the best I've ever had. Let's talk about our amazing waitress Allie, wow we were so lucky to have the best seat in the house center and ocean view. Allie was super nice and very knowledgeable about the menu and the food. My wife and I were wondering around Laguna Beach on Pacific Coast Highway, not particularly hungry at the time as it was between lunch and dinner. A polite young man suggested we try the food at the restaurant in front of us, PINAFINI. We had never heard of it before. And my wife was at least interested in a glass of wine so we went inside. the design of the restaurant was particularly intriguing. Even though we were not that hungry, we shared grilled calamari and an octopus salad. All I can say is unbelievable. Both the calamari and the arugula lentil octopus salad were the best I had ever tasted.. This restaurant turned out to be a gem. So good, that I am inspired to return multiple times until I have tried everything on the menu. read more

I have water here twice as of this review. Food is really good and the location is great if you want to see people walking up and down PCH. I enjoy their Mediterranean offerings. They are not usually too crowded so if you don't want to wait for an opening at some of the other restaurants there, this is a good option to grab something to eat and have a couple drinks! read more

Let me start by saying that I live in Pennsylvania. I don't know anyone that owns this restaurant. This place is amazing!!! We had lunch here when we dropped my daughter off at college in August and made it a point to drive an hour south to bring her here for lunch when we visited this weekend. The food is unbelievable. I had the octopus salad, my daughter the chicken kabobs, my husband the beef ones. The flavors are amazing. Edwin was our server both times. So wonderful. Stumbled on this restaurant and was so surprised! When we were looking at the menu outside, a lady walked past us and said it's really good.
