Kofte plate

The food and service were good. The kofte plate was well seasoned. I didn't like that their restroom is outside on the second floor, requires a physical key required, and hand dryer only. Not great for preventing the spread of germs.

Baked Pastrami humus- delicious

We tried GG's Bistro for the first time and overall it was a pleasant experience. 1-service was very friendly and prompt. (There was an older lady helping us) 2- we sat at the outside patio and it was great for a nice spring lunch with friends. 3- The food was good but could be improved. I had the chicken pita wrap and for me it was a miss, the chicken was dry/hard and the portion of the meat was not very generous compared to the veggies. The flavor was very neutral, it needed pickles and some sort of sauce (preferably hot sauce) to bring it into life. I'd give it a 3 stars. On the other hand my husband got the baked pastrami humus, it was very flavorful and actually I added some of his humus to my sandwich and it really enhanced the pita wrap. This was 5 stars. The prices are higher compared to other Mediterranean places but obviously the Laguna Beach leases ain't cheap for the owners.

Curious and friendly staff treating you to hospitality welcoming you in for the flavors of the Mediterranean.

One of the best restaurants in Laguna Beach! The food was delicious and the outdoor seating area is very lovely! The staff were really kind and welcoming! We tried the meze platter, the kofte plate, and had the berry dream meringue for dessert, which were all excellent! I will definitely be coming back to try the breakfast options they offer on Sundays. Thank you for a wonderful time!!

Plenty of open air seating and dog friendly! Service was fast and staff were friendly and accommodating. The serving sizes are pretty big and were prepared very well. The lobster ravioli was probably my favorite bite. The location is right off the main walking areas, so it was a convenient stop to get some lunch.

it's been awhile since we've had a chance to visit but the charm of GG's patio is just as we remember. We had the GG's Avocado Crevette and Steak Salad (ask for chopped!). Wonderful way to spend a lazy afternoon weekend in Laguna, and they always treat you like family.

I like this place, it's my third time, and they do amazing Middle Eastern/Turkish food. This time you were there for breakfast, and we tried traditional Turkish sausage with eggs, and it was delicious, they also provided jam/butter. Turkish Tea was good. Bread was good. Outdoor seating is very nice. There is meter parking in front of the restaurant, or there is a big parking lot on the street right behind the restaurant.

The best spot for a smart casual meal. Numerous gluten free and celiac friendly options. Kindness of service staff is second to none. Simply delicious. Be sure to try the GF Gyro Plate. Hummus trio also a home run. I could not have picked a better spot after a long day of travel. Perfect for a very hungry person with celiac disease. Lovely patio with lots of shade and nice breeze.

The Sultans Kebab and Meze Platter were both great tastes. Thanks to the owner couple, Francesca & Ragip for their great hospitality shown during our delicious dinner experience in Laguna Beach.

Where is the best place to park if we are planning on going to the sawdust festival after we have our meal?

We parked at the meter at public parking a couple of blocks away at 303 Legion street, Laguna beach, CA, 92651. The meters have limited hours, we downloaded an app to put more money in if needed.

I was also on the open table waitlist, which literally pinged me the minute we paid our tab (about 2 hours). The bar staff is great and keeps things moving. Great martinis, and overall we enjoyed our food (blackened fish sandwich with fries and the bistro plate) and the energetic vibe. Not 5 stars because I ordered the filet medium rare and it came well-done, and the French onion soup was lukewarm with a slice of unmelted cheese floating on top. Also the floor was oddly slippery, and it was actually comical watching people a few drinks deep trying to navigate to the bathroom without falling. This is in a main tourist drag so my expectations were managed, and I'd still come back for drinks when I'm in the area. It's only a 10 min walk from Pageant of the Masters, though valet parking (down the street at their sister restaurant South of Nicks) closes around 10:30pm so plan accordingly.

Salsa had a little kick to it but not too spicy. Ordered the parrillada; the chicken was tender and moist. The shredded pork carnitas were crispy yet juicy. The steak was perfectly medium rare and tender to eat. Shrimp was cooked beautifully and firm. The corn was cold but it was still good! Came with a side of onions and jalapenos. The flour tortillas were taco sized. Great shareable plate for 2-3 people. Had the virgin margarita and it was one of the best virgin drinks I've had. Not just a bunch of sugar and soda water like other mocktails. It had freshly made syrups and with chunks of cucumbers. So refreshing!

The sign said to wait to be seated, but my dad waited around for about 10 minutes without seeing anyone at the host stand. The bartender told him it was okay to go outside & find an available table, so we weren't trying to skip any rules...we were just following what we were told. When we finally spoke with the hostess, she explained she was trying to manage multiple tables, which was understandable, but the communication could have been a little clearer. Once we sat down, everything was great. The drinks were delicious, we enjoyed a quick snack with chips and guacamole, & the service was friendly & efficient. We didn't try the food, but it seems like a nice spot for a casual drink or quick bite. Overall, we had a good experience and would come back.

Your server will let you know that all of their seafood is sustainable, and their kitchen is from scratch and preservative and gluten free. Trust me when I say that starting with an order of the Crispy Garlic Edamame is a must. It just packs a flavor punch. We loved the albacore tuna with everything but the bagel seasoning as a crust, and how simple and fresh the dish was. I had one of my favorite rolls ever, the Laguna Heat. It has spicy tuna, avocado and cucumber, and is topped with garlic butter seared steelhead, shishito jam, yuzu olive oil and micro cilantro. They had me at "garlic butter seared steelhead". Last but not least, if you're looking for something hearty that gives you some variety from the seafood dishes, the Robatayaki Flight is incredible. You're served 4 skewers: Wagyu, Jidori chicken, pork belly, and veggies. Each has their own unique sauce and flavor profile and were cooked to perfection. Both the food and drink menu are very extensive, giving each diner plenty of options to choose from.

The martini tasted completely artificial and was undrinkable. We ordered the spicy tuna hand roll, which was just okay. The two pieces of uni tasted overly fishy. The Scorch Roll was overwhelmingly spicy--I honestly don't know what they're making their spicy mayo with, but it completely overpowered the roll. The Chef's Roll was decent, but nothing memorable. The cucumber salad had a very strong citrus flavor, so only order it if that's something you enjoy. We also ordered the shishito peppers, and they came with only four peppers on skewers, which was surprising for the price. To make matters worse, the ginger and soy sauce weren't brought out until after all of our sushi had already arrived. They also don't carry Diet Coke. The funny part is that they have a sign out front claiming they're "Orange County's #1 Voted Sushi." Based on our experience, that claim was hard to believe. Overall, we spent about $170, and it honestly felt like money down the drain. The food and overall experience did not justify the price, and I wouldn't return.

We got seated at our table at our table around 4:30p and had the most perfect view of the ocean! *we went on a Friday night and noticed the patio cleared out about 4:45-5pm and I didn't appear to have a lot of people waiting during that time. The main patio was covered with umbrellas, so once you are seated for dinner, there was plenty of umbrellas for shade and heaters for when it got a little cooler. For our food orders, and as recommended by our server, we went with their seafood options and ordered their Pacific Ceviche for an appetizer and for Entrees my husband got the Roasted Halibut and me and my mother-in-law both got the Scallop and Shrimp pasta. We all loved our dishes and were very satisfied with our choices. Their menu does have non-seafood options, but why not to try what they're most prominent for? They don't have a dessert menu, but they heard that we were celebrating mom's birthday so they brought us a little Toffee Cake to share and enjoy...and for a place that doesn't have dessert, the cake was pretty delicious. It's Laguna so parking can be difficult but it's possible to find metered parking on the nearby cross streets if you don't mind walking a little. We opted to use their valet parking but it's $6 per hour. The restaurant is surrounded by cute shops and there's an area where they have live music on certain nights. There are a decent amount of tables outside with umbrellas for shade. If you come for happy hour on a weekday, it's only available in the upper area by the bar. We came on a Tuesday for happy hour (3- 6pm), so cocktails were $2 off and starters were half priced. They don't have that many cocktails to choose from, so I just got their red Seasonal Sangria ($16). It didn't come in a wine glass which was a little odd but it was fine. We shared their Shrimp Ceviche ($23) and Bruschetta ($19). The ceviche was okay but the bruschetta was excellent. They also had taco specials (I assume because it was Tuesday) so they were $4- 5 à la carte. I tried the Mahi Mahi and Shrimp tacos and surprisingly really liked them. The Mahi Mahi tasted fresh and so did the corn tortillas. I would definitely come back for Taco Tuesday and anytime I'm looking to dine with an ocean view.
