DONT GET THE OYSTERS. They were falling apart and had no liquid at all. Dry. I got the snow crab legs and the meat inside was dry as well!!! I couldn't believe it. So disappointing, I was really looking forward to eating yummy crab legs. My mother got the bourbon glazed salmon and enjoyed it as well as the green beans. Service was wonderful. We stopped in pinchers tonight and to our delight thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The. Large Cesar's salad was easily enough to split between us. The salad was 100% crispy lettuce no core or outer leaves. Seasoned lightly with Cesar's dressing and topped off with plenty of shaved Parmesan and two slices of buttered garlic bread. It was a delicious start to our meal. I ordered from the app menu crab cake with Cole slaw , my husband had shrimp scampi over angel hair Both delicious. Our bartender, Mitch was very nice. Went in after 1pm on a Thursday. Expected better quality for the prices. First time being at a pincher's. I won't go back. The grouper nuggets had a fishy taste. Service was good. Food and service once we were seated was great. But do not believe the person at the desk who says the wait is 15-20 minutes. We waited 55 minutes for a table in the cold damp weather as there was no where to wait inside. The three of us are 68, 69 and 73 and did not appreciate being deceived that way. I don't know if we would have waited or not but it should be our choice if we want to wait an hour. All that did was put us in a rotten mood. Be honest with the wait time! I understand it's an estimate but she should've known by the number of people 15 to 20 minutes was not realistic. This is what they do for a living so they should be better. read more

When the crab dip came out, it wasn't hot. My husband had fried scallops and the batter would not stick to them. I asked for sweet tea twice and both times I got unsweet tea. Our waitress wasn't very attentive. My tea glass got empty and when the manager asked if everything was okay, I pointed to the empty tea glass. Last evening my two sons and their families visited Pinchers. My husband doesn't eat much and we try very hard to make sure his meal will be something he enjoys. We ordered for hom the shrimp scampi with green beans and coleslaw. Not the dinner with spaghetti. I ordered 2 sides as I knew he wouldn't finish. service was quite slow and 4 dinners came out and we had to ask for the grouper bites and shrimp. We advised the waitress that both meals were wrong. She replaced the grouper but not the shrimp with sides. He didn't eat the shrimp and had no sides. No adjustments were made. Paid for the dinner and two extra sides. Extremely disappointed. Tried to go to Dockside Waterfront Grill. We live a couple hours away and we came for hubby's bday. We had a past dinner at Dockside and we loved it! They were closed due to a plumbing issue. We drove down the road and saw Pinchers. Never heard of it so we tried. The bogo house margaritas were decent. Good hush puppies except for the sauce! Cajun mayo was not good! Not our thing anyway. I had fried shrimp dinner with fries. It was pretty good. Crunchy smaller shrimp. Good fresh cut fries. Hubby had the crab leg dinner. Supposed to be a pound but I doubt it. We buy them from the store and he should have had another cluster. Anyway they were ok. Not sweet. Edible just not wow! He had baked beans and garlic mashed. Both ok. Server Christina was very nice, we just felt rushed and they were dead! She knew it was our first time, hands us a 10 page menu and asks if we're ready to order. lol. She was on the ball but I think more of a turn the tables over quickly waitress. We weren't there that long but trying to enjoy a birthday dinner and not rush. Hubby said there was salt scrub in the men's room! I was excited and went to women's room and none in ours! No fair! Haha. All in all it was good not great. read more

The server was friendly, attentive, and informative about when the order would be ready, and they were very accommodating to my fellow guests' dietary needs. My grilled shrimp skewers were generous (about 20 small-to-medium shrimp) and nicely seasoned, as was the garlic-sauced broccoli. Prices were reasonable for seafood. I also enjoyed the key lime pie - just the right portion. The ambience is rustic seaside fishery, with brightly colored beadboard and a lot of wall signs. Plenty of windows too. The outside appearance is stunning in this location. An interesting and beautiful building with a pretty water fountain in the pond and park. Outside dining is also very desirable on the property. The entrance looks formal and the nice bar lounge is very comfortable looking. It was very busy and I was seated in a separate dining area. The room was whimsical with its many signs and decor. I was a bit taken aback by the room because it was not at all elegant but it was interesting. Our particular booth the kind staff led us to had a cushioned seat but underneath felt like it had 4 metal bars sticking out of it. I never said anything because I just put my coat underneath myself. The hostess, our waiter and the rest of the staff were all outstanding with service and knowledge and kindness. And our food was excellent. I'm sure I'll visit again!! read more

When I'm in Venice, I usually stop at this place because I know the seafood and crabs are so delicious. My favorite on the menu is these little crab arms that theymarinate in butter. This place has indoor ceiling along with semi outdoor seating overlooking the pond. If you're looking for a crab place this is definitely it. I highly recommend it.. read more

Wyatt was our waiter and very good at his role. we started with crab rangoon, it was 8 pieces and very good. our meals were salmon and fried scallops, both came with hand cut fries, I add baked beans and my wife added garlic bread. my wife said the salmon was cooked perfectly, my scallops came with 9 on the plate, they were also good. the hand cut fries were cooked correctly. the baked beans and garlic bread were also good. we had low expectations of the place but they changed our minds. manager also came to our table to check on our meals, nice touch! read more

Decided to give Pincher's another shot. We had friends from Nashville staying with us and the daughter wanted Blue Crabs. First the good. They have 30 minute call ahead and the daughter loved her Blue Crab. The bad were the shrimp and Grouper . Both were overcooked and didn't taste fresh. The Ugly- the famous fish fry. Not crispy , fresh or any flavor except for the French fries. They were very busy and service was excellent. They just aren't in the top twenty of seafood restaurants in our area. read more

What a disappointed!! Terrible service. A few of us ordered salad as our Main Course - the server brought them out after about a 20 minute wait and 40 minutes later brought out the rest of the tables meals. We had told the server that the salad was to be served when everyone's meal was ready. When the food arrived they had it all mixed up - wrong order etc. The manager was not helpful. When I read the menu and it bragged on how that it has its own boats and only serve fresh fish. Maybe it was the chef that day but some of the fish that my group ordered didn't taste fresh or wasn't seasoned properly but it was not something I want to pay for. Our server was absent for almost our whole stay there. I had to ask another server that was walking by in order to just get water and that took over five minutes. The food took its time in getting to us and I didn't receive my food until 10 minutes after my group of three had obtained their food. The cuisine was edible but for the reviews that I read about this restaurant I was highly disappointed. The decor was inviting and there was live music on the premise. The songs were decent enough but it was Easter Sunday and some inspirational songs would have been nice. It was very sparse for Sunday much less Easter Sunday. All in all, I left with a bitter taste from the lackluster service that we received. read more
