I love Pinchers. My husband and I go 2-3 times a month. Today I was unhappy with the fries. There were six of us for a birthday lunch. The waitress put in an order for new fresh cut fries, to replace the burnt fries, for everyone at our table. Once again they arrived burnt looking. The "manager" (A woman with mid length dark hair) brushed off my concern that the new fries were just as burnt and dried out. No one was going to eat any of the fries. A little bit later I went in search of some to go boxes. Our waitress was newer and doing her best What I believe was another manger, in the bar area (younger-dark haired gentleman) asked if I had a good meal. I explained about the fries. He not only apologized but also said it was a new vendor and they were struggling to get their usual quality. He heard me. He put in orders for the steak fries for everyone to take home. I guess we didn't expect it to actually be a claw shell and the meat is on the claw that you suck off and toss th me claw lol so don't bite down and hurt your teeth. On 11/17/25 my husband and I took a friend there for lunch to celebrate her birthday. They were not at all busy so we were seated quickly, and our waitress was very nice. My husband and I both ordered the fish & chips. We were not thrilled with the fish but it was ok, it was edible; however, the fries were so obviously overcooked (dark brown), dry and hard that although we both love french fries and we both were quite hungry, neither of us could eat many of the fries because they were so unappealing. I expected the waitress to notice that and mention it, and I was disappointed that she did not. I did not ask our friend how her shrimp were, because I did not want to put her on the spot if she was as unhappy with her meal as we were. We appreciated that she was given a slice of Key Lime Pie because of her birthday, but the meals my husband and I had were truly disappointing. I made a reservation for 6 (3 kids/3 adults) on Yelp and had a few issues with communication between the Yelp reservation and host stand. It's a huge place, high top and low tables suitable for every party and each individual (handicapped/stroller/elderly/adolescent). We ordered many different dishes that I cannot remember but I know we ordered the little crab claws in some oil based sauce and it was so delicious!! My nephew took apart the claw meat and made a po-boy with the French bread provided. Everything we ordered was fresh, hot, and we'll seasoned. Sometimes places over salt fried items but not the case here. The ONLY stipulation, on the conch fritters: the conch was very chewy compared to the rest of the fritter. The fritter flavor was very yummy but the conch itself was just too chewy. I definitely want to go back and try them again because this place just had unbeatable FLAVOR and I hope I just had a tiny over cooked batch. I only had two issues with this place 1) our server was so overwhelmed with taking care of multiple tables, that she wasn't able to provide the best service. Pinchers reminds me of what fun, chain restaurants used to be like: lots of awesome decor to play "I Spy" with your family, waiters that would write on the tablecloth, kids eating for free, etc. So there's a sense of nostalgia I had walking into Pinchers. We came on a Friday night with family and it was pretty busy. There was a 30-45 min wait but we waited at the bar and enjoyed their all-day/everyday 2-for-1 special on their drinks. It was easy to know when our guests table was ready since they texted us. We started with the hot crab dip as an app, very flavorful and not too salty. Enough to share for a 4-6 people. I had the Alaskan King crab with a side of rice and green beans. They gave me all the tools to work with my crab. The only thing is the crab shell was very soft and made me wonder about freshness or if they just over steamed it. The crab inside was great although already tasted buttered up so didn't need to add mucb more. We were too full to go for dessert although the options looked tasty. Let me say up top, the staff was great! Everybody on staff was nice and accommodating. Please don't punish the staff for decisions made at a higher level than the hourly wage-earners. That aside, here were the main problems: - Really underwhelming, tube-shaped "fish n' chips" - The music was deafening. Loud in the bathrooms, loud in the private rooms, loud in the waiting area. Louder than I'd want it at an actual house party, even after we had it turned down a bit for our party's room - Totally raw crab dish. Inedible. - The bathroom had a "salt scrub" advertised as a "doctor-approved salt scrub that kills/deactivates the Coronavirus," placed in both bathrooms by management and sold by an company called "Secret of the Islands." The FDA sent a formal warning to the company's president on August 10, 2021, requiring that they stop marketing a product as a drug that hasn't been approved and claims to be able to "deactivate" the Coronavirus with salt, no water, and no actual disinfectant. The scrub was placed directly between the only available sinks, confusing multiple customers into thinking it was the only available soap. Not only is this fraudulent, it's dangerous, as anyone who fails to wash their hands is even more at risk in Florida's unregulated public sphere. Tl;dr - Went for a family-friendly bite to eat and left with a worse impression of the state. Everybody get vaccinated. read more

Our waitress and all the staff was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the ambiance is fun! We arrived at 2: PM on a Monday afternoon. Hardly any cars in the lot. Got inside and only 3-4 tables occupied and 2 people at the bar. There were at least 12 empty tables. We asked for a table and was told it would be 15-20 minute wait for a table. Absolutely ridiculous and I'm sure they are understaffed but that's their loss. We were seated immediately but then proceeded to wait 15 minutes before we had to flag someone down to find our waiter. Likely, Summer was kind enough to take our drink orders even though it wasn't her table. We finally put in our food order after getting our drinks and continued to wait. Eventually all of our food came at the same time - appetizers and main courses dumped on the table. I ordered the crabcake dinner with rice and green beans. The crab cake was advertised as jumbo lump and it was neither. You can see from the pictures that it is over 50% filler (aka breading). What little crab was there was dry and flavorless. The rice was basically rice-a-roni out of the box. After dinner Summer came by and explained there was a mix up in table assignments and no one was assigned to our table. She offered us free key lime pie for the mistake which I thought was redeeming and nice. They brought out one small slice of pie for the entire table and only one fork! Trued Pinchers twice this trip. They are a casual restaurant with decent prices and tasty seafood. I've tried the crab cake and also the fried shrimp. Both came with home cut fries, which are fresh. Had the Cole slaw once and greens beans the second time. Both were good, though green beans had a little too much garlic for me. Wine and other drinks come as 2 for wine so the drinks are very reasonable. Nice patio to eat outside. I'd recommend it for dates or family. read more

Traveling from out of town, we wanted to give the kids the experience of cracking crab legs. The wait for a table was over an hour which was fine because we joined the list on Yelp then headed to the restaurant. Service was fine, quick but not overly helpful. We ordered crab legs, it was supposed to be 4 clusters, for $42. When they came out, they were as big around as my 10 year old's pinkie. There was no meat to be found. The server brought us another one without us asking, and it was about the same size, and the meat was brown and a strange texture. We showed the manager and he agreed it didn't look right. We decided it was probably just time to go, and they brought the bill which still had $42 of crab on it. When we asked the manager he said "oh, I comped the first order for you. That's for the second one." We didn't eat any crab and the whole thing was very strange and uncomfortable. We ended up in a Chick Fil A drive thru instead. read more
