PINCH ME! I MUST BE DREAMING!! NEVER JUDGE A BURGER BY ITS SIZE!!! Don't be fooled by the small size of the burgers, but instead let the rich savory flavors of the burgers do the talking. Although they may appear lightweight, these burgers possess a heavy punch! They stick to your ribs, leaving you full and satisfied! I came here a few weeks ago accompanied by my husband and our daughter. My daughter and I had previously experienced what this culturally diverse restaurant has to offer and we absolutely loved every minute of it. However, this was my husband's very first visit and we couldn't wait for him to try the delicious cuisine here, especially since we had been bragging about it immensely. Because he is such a tough critic when it comes to food, I was dying of suspense hoping that he was going to enjoy this establishment that I have come to fancy tremendously. Since I know my husband well, I know that he cannot pass up the opportunity to try a great and tasty burger. I ordered the shrimp kebab platter which was accompanied by two sides of my choice. I went with a side salad, and black beans with rice. I also ordered a chicken kebab for my hubby to sample. My daughter and husband ordered the Pincho Burger with a side of sweet potato tots. For our drinks, which are self-serve, I got myself a Turmeric Lemonade, hubby got an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade, half sweet tea), and our daughter got a root beer for herself. We all enjoyed our drinks because they were not overly sweet and they're made with real cane sugar which reminds me of how things were done back in the earlier days when my mother was growing up. She would always say that the food tasted much better back then and how they used real cane sugar in the soda beverages instead of that high fructose corn syrup stuff, which is deadly to the human body, especially on the teeth. Eewww! Furthermore, after we ordered our food, Matthew gave us a number to take to our table so that they could serve our food at our table whenever it was ready. A very nice female server brought our food out in less than 20 minutes and she was extremely friendly. My husband was impressed with the overall presentation of the food because everything looked so delicious and well prepared. As he took the first bite of his burger, he made a sound of pure pleasure. Rubbing his belly, he said, "Now this is how a burger is supposed to taste!" Next, he took a bite of one of his sweet potato tots and again, he mustered a sound of pure pleasure. He said that they were a crispy golden brown ball of deliciousness and that they were good without the sauce that comes with them. However, on the contrary, my daughter absolutely loves the sweet sauce that's accompanied with the sweet potato tots. Everyone is different and possesses various preferences. They both enjoyed their Pincho burger equally, which is a traditional classic American Burger with a Latin twist, consisting of a single Angus beef patty, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, American Cheese, potato sticks, and Pincho Sauce. Next, my hubby grabbed a fork and started going in on my plate, sampling the black beans with rice and both the chicken and shrimp kebabs. He was highly impressed and could not believe how delicious and authentic the food tasted. My daughter and I couldn't agree more with him. Everything was equally delicious which is a rare find for a restaurant. I'm so Glad that the owner decided to open the first Pincho restaurant outside of Miami Florida here in Houston Texas in the Cypress area! Judging the restaurant from the outside, a person would think it's just like any other fast food joint, but I beg to differ. Overall, with their great customer service skills, the cleanliness of the inside and outside of the building, and the savory and delicious cuisine, this establishment is a keeper in my opinion. Hmmm...slightly disappointed on the level of service and cleanliness of the restaurant. I DO love Pincho, don't get me wrong. The burgers here are amazing and the Yelp event I attended was probably the best one to date from all the ones I've attended, but I was quite disappointed in the service. I was willing to let the dirty table and the crumbled up paper towel in the sink of the women's bathroom pass, but when the staff member at the register brought out the wrong order and didn't catch it, nor did she apologize for getting our order wrong, that was a bit off putting. I know 100% that I said Bacon me Gouda, but she charged me for the black magic burger...and I'm glad I caught it before I even took a bite... she was not apologetic but she did bring me a To go box for the black magic burger... then once my bacon me Gouda burger came out, there was barely any bacon inside my burger...if it's called a Bacon me Gouda, I expect a good portion of bacon in my burger, but what I got were bits of small crushed burnt up Pieces of bacon scraps sprinkled on my burger and barely any at that...super disappointing!! I'm pretty disappointed in the service, and while Good food is important, Hospitality is what keeps you returning to restaurants like these. This location is easy to miss but it's right across from the Berry Center. They have a unique menu with savory flavor options that just melt in your mouth. Pincho's has one of the best burger joints in town. This is my third time here, and taste is consistent throughout all my visits. The service is ok, they messed up our order this time around, they were quick to rebuttal a solution. My Black Magic burger was rang up, but delivered without sauté onions. My Wife's Bacon me Gouda was delivered as the wrong burger because the cashier rang it up wrong. Additionally when they replaced her burger with the correct one, there was very little bacon inside. Sadly something is going on mentally, but that's life..things happen, it is a fast food experience. I'm just happy to have had lunch. It maybe a while before i come back, we'll see if things continue to decline or improve in my next visit. Walking in this Latin-American fusion restaurant, I immediately warmed up to the colorful and vibrant wall they had on the right side of the entrance and immediately went to take photos lol. Ordering was easy and service was polite. I got the Vaca Frita Plate with the original Pincho sauce, which the cashier told me was the most popular condiment. I expected traditional Latin flavors and spices from the beef but, surprisingly, it tasted like sliced hamburger meat. It was unusual at first but slowly grew on me, even now as I'm writing this review I'm tempted to go back and eat it again. The meat was very tender and moist, a bit less seasoned to my liking by itself, but the sauce complimented it very well. The fries were definitely the highlight of the dish. Perfectly crispy with the right amount of spice and herbs. They gave a healthy portion as well, which I liked. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich, which she enjoyed, and our other friend ordered the beef burger, which was delicious. She did make a comment about the sweet potato tots being bland and the sauce that came with it was "weird". It was more like a fruit jam and she preferred dipping the tots with the Pincho sauce that came with my order. I got the chance to check out Pincho at their VIP event and today I went to eat again. The place is pretty small inside and seating seems a bit crowded. The workers so far have been very welcoming and friendly. They made recommendations and answered questions. I ordered the same thing both times aside from the fries. I got the sweet potato tots instead this time around. At the VIP event the Pincho burger tasted pretty basic to me. I just wasn't impressed. The burger was good, but it just tasted like a regular burger with an added crunch. Their fries were good as well but needed some seasoning or salt. I figured I'd try it again now that they are officially opened. Their sauce reminds me a lot of In and Out, so this time around I ordered another Pincho burger and asked for extra sauce. I think this made a difference and it did come out hot and fresh, but I don't think the price matches the quality. Their sweet potato tots came with a cinnamon/sweet sauce to dip. Reminded me of thanksgiving yams and I think it would be good seasonal, but not as a regular side. Their prices are a bit on the higher end, which is why I don't see myself coming back regularly. And, boy howdy, was I glad because this is the perfect sauce for dipping your fries! Mom's house isn't far so the burgers & fries were still piping hot when we sat down to eat. The wife and i tried this place out today. Since they just opened, they had a limited selection. However, we had a perfecto burger and a pincho burger, and it has been a while since we had a decent burger, and these both met what we think are great burgers!! The fries were okay, nothing to write home about. Their kids menu only has 5 items, but we ordered the chicken bowl for our granddaughter, and man, she LOVED IT. I can't lie. First, the room is nice; clean and efficiently designed with a very nice mural. The food was great. I had a Black Magic hamburger (mushrooms, fried onions, Swiss cheese) was perfect. Also had French fries which were good. My husband had beef kebab plate which he really liked. The beef was tender and the dipping sauce (chipotle) was very tasty. I ordered the truffle mushroom burger and fries. I got sauce on the side in case I didn't like it and opted for chipotle aioli instead. The sauce didn't help the burger or fries. I prob won't come here again. my burger patty was burned and hard like it was pre-cooked and waiting to be put on a bun/barely warm. Great food but customer service and management is not great. If they make a mistake they won't care to fix it or even act like they're apologetic. My problem is the customer service I was met with. As a Miami native and someone who lives so close to this place I've been loving having this place here until now. The woman who took my order did not want to be there. I imagine she had a long day or something because it felt like an inconvenience that I was there needing to place an order. She didn't explain that the kids meals are a drink OR fries. That's the most ridiculous option I've ever seen for a kids meal. The drink option is a tiny apple juice carton. I asked her if the meal came with a drink and she said yes and started looking for it. After receiving our food and seeing that there weren't any fries for the kids meal I went to order some. The cashier tried to lie that she told me that but she must have thought about saying it because she never once mentioned it. Then 15 minutes passed, they got really busy and my fries were no where to be found. I went up to ask about them and I could see that they were ready sitting there waiting. I don't fault the woman as she was really busy but there were other employees and a manager there that were not trying to help her. The bigger issue began when my 4 year old asked to go use the restroom. Unfortunately it was just me and him so I had to leave our table unattended and go with him. The manager saw us walk past her as she filled the ice machine so I thought it would be ok. Wrong when we got out of the restroom our table had been fully cleared. All our food and drinks were gone. My kid was on the verge of tears and I was upset because I was planning on saving my food to eat for later as there was still enough left to save. So I went up to the counter and told them what happened. They said oh did you need another drink cup? No I could care less about the drink I want our unfinished food. It was a huge inconvenience on them that I was complaining about how they threw away all our food. What I cared more about was the fried cheese I was really excited for eating later. I remember clearly I left 3 there. I told them and they said ok we will replace those 3 for you. So I waited for them to box specifically 3 fried cheeses. It was so petty. They never apologized. I was truly shocked at their lack of care to resolve a mistake they made. So I asked for a manager. Turns to find out the manager was right there seeing it all go down and never once intervened to help. I was so surprised she was the manager and literally didn't try to resolve or intervene at all. She made it seem like I was making a big deal out of it all. Didn't apologize. When I said "well you guys threw away my food, I'd imagine you guys would do your part to make yalls mistake right but no here I am having to request it all." She corrected me and said "we didn't throw away your food, we cleared the table because that's what we do. Some people leave it all on the table like that." I about had enough at the lack of professionalism. This is what happens when you promote people who should not be in management positions and hire people who don't have friendly customer service and don't want to be there. The last 3x we've been here the customer service was great. But that day it was a train wreck. Not sure that I even feel welcomed here again. As an empath I'm not one to complain when my food is wrong. So I didn't make a scene or anything but the way I was treated was inexcusable. I don't know if we came on a bad day but food was not that great. Our burgers were dry and over cooked. Fries were not fresh and had no flavor. The biggest issue I had were the prices. I decided to try their special burger of the month which was $13. Basically a burger with an egg added. When I ordered my burger I asked if I could switch the type of cheese on the burger to American. The guy said yes. My husband asked if he could change from some cilantro sauce on his burger to just the Pincho sauce and the guy said yes. Little did we know till after paying our bill they charged us extra to make those changes. No one told us if we made substitutions that we would pay extra. Ok. Just left the establishment. I tried the establishment because of the reviews. I'm sorry to say that from 1 to 10. The food was a four. I tried the double burger, the cajun fries, fried cheese and the beef kebab plate. The hamburger was a four out of 10. It just was not very flavorful. And there was just something about the texture that I just can't put my finger on but again the flavor was just plain. The cajun fries taste like they were frozen fries which they sprinkled Cajun seasoning on. That was a strong no for me. The steak kabob plate was an extra no for me. The beef was so tough that I couldn't finish at all because if I did, my jaws would be hurting from trying to chew the meat. I was so disappointed at how rough the meat was. I tried the rice and beans and the beans needed more flavor. The fried cheese was a no three times over. Don't bother to order the fried cheese please. My daughter tried the beans and she said the same thing. The best thing on the plate was the rice. So as you can see this meal was very disappointing and no I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are so many more burger places around that sell more flavorful burgers and they just need to do more with that beef kabob meal. Sorry but this was my experience.
