The Experience Well... like every other Pinecrest Bakery, generally speaking, the food is a safe bet if you know what you like. If you go for the pre-made options, sometimes it's been in the warmer a while, but it can still be called fresh; and if your order is to be made in the spot, pretty much always is good. But different people on the staff makes your experience a rollercoaster, if you go often and in different shifts. I've been received by a slight sort-of-acknowledgment look by someone who barely rises their head and leaves you hanging (saying nothing) for a few minutes until finally (ignoring me) call someone else "to come to the front because there's people here"; and I've had the loveliest servers treat me like a king and looking happy to serve me... in the same week. On the other hand, I lover their churrasco sandwich, there's nothing quicker to bite than an empanada if you're in a hurry, and, if you get one of the nice servers, take the time to have a sandwich cubano made. Just... be prepared because you never know beforehand if you're going to enjoy your food and service, or you're going to leave hangry after a few minutes of being ignored.

As for service.....upon walking in there was 3 hostesses at the front but all 3 were too preoccupied speaking to another patron that they appeared to know personally rather than one step aside to take the next customer. The one that eventually helped us was a ball of joy and smiles for that other patron but literally the second she switched to us she had a face on that looked like we just gave her bad news. Then she tried to sit us at a table that we clearly wouldn't be able to sit in because another elderly patrons walker was blocking one of the 4 seats from being sat in (we were a party of four). We had to ask to move to a different table, once we did that things seemed to be fine. We ordered our food and asked specifically if they still do the free garlic bread basket to start, to which she replied yes. Subsequently the food arrived and the bread did not, we had to then ask for it and it was brought and some pieces not buttered at all and just jumbled and compressed together. Fast forward we are eating and my water cup has been empty since basically the time the food arrived, now our waitress is nowhere to be found for at least 10 maybe 15 minutes. Finally we ask someone else for the water and they seek her out to have her do it. Last comment on the service is the awkward "watching while tipping" moment. They use the mobile credit card machines here and the waitress awkwardly stood over me watching as I entered the tip amount. As far as atmosphere, the floor throughout the establishment and even outside on the walkway leading up to the restaurant is EXTREMELY slippery, which is not only dangerous but a little gross. The lighting is weird, they could benefit from some shades on windows. The men's bathroom wasn't too clean and it seems I broke up an unofficial employee break where 3 employees were just hanging out in this very small restroom. Also one of the hand dryers was broken and ironically above the other hand dryer they had a paper towel dispenser but it was at least 6 ft up on the ground, luckily I'm 6 ft tall but for example my son wouldn't have been able to get it on his own. All in all, food was still worthy but with the prices of eating out these days, I expect the whole package to be on point. This being said, I likely won't be back for a while.
