Waiting for a while they keep chitchatting in the back I keep calling and no help. They should have someone ready to help customers .

Pinecrest bakery is so good! This was my first time coming to this location in South Miami and it was nice and quaint. You have to take a ticket when you first come in with your number on it. I ordered the tostada with ham and cheese and it was so good! The cheese was perfectly melted and added pickles. I also ordered croquetas de la casa which were tasty and packed with that good ham inside. I also ordered a preparadito which has ham and cheese in a pastry puff and also ordered a tequeno! Love it all.

    Location

If you're black don't go to this location. I've been here a couple times and each time I get skipped. Not a hello or nothing. I'll never support this company again and this is coming from someone who's a chef and chef for high end clients in the area. Horrible I'll never support again.

I don't know why they have a low rating on Yelp. We had such a pleasant experience with friendly employees and even a friendly customer who left the line to open the door for us since our hands were full when we left! It was around 5:30 pm when we stopped by before heading back to Broward County to pick up some pastelitos. After looking at their selection, we ordered some cheese, and guava & cheese pastries, Cuban bread and cafe con leches. My husband even got some mini pastelito trays for his office. They showed us what was in the box to make sure that our order was correct. The cafe con leche was perfect for the drive home. We had the bread with our dinner and it was sooo soft! Can't wait to have the pastelitos for breakfast tomorrow!

I have been craving cafe con leche all week and Pinecrest Bakery didn't disappoint. It was so good!! We ordered 12 ham croquettes but we only got 10. We ordered a cheese pastelito and didn't get it. It's shown as a guava pastelito on our receipt. Now we're still hungry. Sad! Can't bother to go back! Learn from my mistake and check your order before you leave the bakery!

Stopped by without checking the reviews as I passed through the city on my way south. Cafe con leche was tasty and the simple ham and swiss was as equally enjoyable. About a half an hour on the road after this take out order, I took a bite of one of the under baked Tequeños. I purchased two. Hoping the best, I tried the second one. Two raw tequeños. I called the establishment to get the money credited. Only the tequeños, mind you, not the whole order. I suggested that I could post the pictures on social media either here, Facebook, or Google to try and meet her demand of needing to see them. The lady on the phone came unglued. I reiterated that I was passing through and that this was the best solution for them to verify that their product was raw. She continued with the meltdown. She lacked the capacity to use reason and logic so I hung hang up due to her yelling. Any establishment who is willing to resolve issues like this would never receive a negative review. However, the endless braying and unreasonableness is what compelled this review.

Need more eggs or a smaller roll with decrease in price. The sandwich is all bread

Service is slow. Breakfast sandwich ratio - more bread than eggs. Have a smaller roll to fit your egg ratio and charge less.

Main counter with a great selection of pastries.

Worst service ever. Restaurant is beyond disorganized. Prepare to get your food wrong every single time. Doesn't seem a very sanitary place

I was surprised at the low star rating but I guess people have had mishaps seeing as this place can't be perfect 24 hours every day.

I've had perfect visits (considering that it IS a Pinecrest bakery) and really awful "I will leave without ordering" visits. The Experience Well... like every other Pinecrest Bakery, generally speaking, the food is a safe bet if you know what you like. If you go for the pre-made options, sometimes it's been in the warmer a while, but it can still be called fresh; and if your order is to be made in the spot, pretty much always is good. But different people on the staff makes your experience a rollercoaster, if you go often and in different shifts. I've been received by a slight sort-of-acknowledgment look by someone who barely rises their head and leaves you hanging (saying nothing) for a few minutes until finally (ignoring me) call someone else "to come to the front because there's people here"; and I've had the loveliest servers treat me like a king and looking happy to serve me... in the same week. On the other hand, I lover their churrasco sandwich, there's nothing quicker to bite than an empanada if you're in a hurry, and, if you get one of the nice servers, take the time to have a sandwich cubano made. Just... be prepared because you never know beforehand if you're going to enjoy your food and service, or you're going to leave hangry after a few minutes of being ignored.

I have no idea what they were doing, but I was waiting there over 15 minutes for what I thought was gonna be a 90 second transaction. Meanwhile, I saw other people purchasing the same item I wanted and they took theirs right from the shelf so I don't understand what's going on.

However, the choices and quality of the food is a pleasant surprise. While not a traditional Cuban sandwich, the flavor of the pork is some of the best I've had. Also tried the chicken club wrap and it was fresh, light, and healthy. Besides the food, the backside of the interior seating has floor to ceiling windows of the butterfly enclosure. It is really nice to get off your feet, enjoy a delicious bite, and still enjoy the butterflies fluttering about.

To get your food at the Glasshouse you check out the menu and order at the outside window. They give you one of those plastic squares that vibrate when your food is ready and then pick up your order at the inside window. You can then eat inside or out. It was blazing hot out and the line was long but the staff handled it well and kept the line moving forward. They have a nice variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, drinks, and desserts. Prices are a reasonable $8 to $14 for a sandwich. They even had a board with some specials for museum day. I prefer to eat inside because I love their dining room not to mention the air conditioning. The whole back glass wall of the dining area looks onto the Wings of the Tropics butterfly garden and it's beautiful. While we were eating we got to watch numerous butterflies and we even saw the hummingbird flit around the flowers. The ceiling has a gorgeous Chihuly glass sculpture hanging from it. For lunch we shared the croque-monsieur and the La Basque's club sandwich with grilled chicken and bacon. Both were delicious. For dessert we had one of the large chocolate chip cookies that had three kinds of chocolate in it. All of that plus two sodas came to $28. I love eating at the Glasshouse when I come to visit the gardens. The food is of a higher quality than most attractions and the view is one of my favorites.
