Ole Blue
Christina Z.

Good spot for a burger if you're looking for a pub vibe or stopping in for lunch. There's a classic style burger and multiple specialty burger options - all come with your choice of fries, coleslaw, macaroni salad, or potato salad or an up charge for sweet potato fries, onion rings, or side salad. I had the Tavern classic which comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. My husband had the Ole Blue which comes with blue cheese, bacon, and caramelized onions. Both burgers had a nice grilled char to them. The fries were pretty good as well. Recommend stopping by if you're wanting to grab a burger in the area.

There aren't many choices for food in Pine, but fortunately this is one of them. I've been here several times and the food and drinks are always good. The service is also super friendly and when it's warm enough the patio is dog friendly. I don't even have a preference to recommend or any to avoid because I've liked it all.

We've been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. Service is great. Ambiance is rustic modern. The food is so good. Everything we've tried. No complaint. One of our favorite places in Pine.

Great service, ambiance, and food! 10/10 would recommend the wings. The pulled pork sandwich was also delicious. Don't forget the sweet potato fries!

Our server Tyler was great. Seemed like he was the only one serving all the tables, but he was quick and made sure our drinks were full during the 40 minute wait for food. It was worth the wait though, some of the best burgers we've ever had! I got the PBJ - love the peanut butter. Jelly and bacon combo. I did take the lettuce, onion, and tomato off. I like those toppings but not on this burger. The French fries were incredible and so was the buttermilk ranch. My husband got the Cowboy and he really liked it.

My friend enjoys the fish and chips. My BLT had a good amount of bacon, but I prefer hot bacon since the contrast of hot bacon and cold T&L is part of the appeal. Also disliked being charged more than what is on the menu ($15 on menu and $17 on my bill). To go cobbler tasted good when warmed, but seemed to be the last scoop and NOT visually appealing.

Tavern Burger with onion rings

Solid bar food. We liked the deviled eggs (too spicy for my kiddo). The Pine French dip was good. I had a bite of the Tavern Burger and it was a solid burger. I'd skip the onion rings next time - the panko breading was too heavy for me. I was also disappointed that the Bloody Mary didn't come with bacon (even thought it says that on the menu). All in all, I'd go again.

Wonderful place! Delicious burgers, fries and their nachos were delicious and large portions. Service was very quick. The staff were friendly. This is a place where you definitely want to stop at if you are in the neighborhood.

Sunday 17 Nov. 2024 Pinewood Tavern is OPEN, all seven day too! Haven't been in to eat since my last time there merited only two stars. I'm looking forward to going over for dinner later: I hope the new ownership's menu - and food ! - will be great and delicious. I can't post a review because Yelp says closed.

Pulled pork sandwich with onion rings. Both amazing. Best onion rings I've had. Ranch great too.

Pastrami sandwich is fantastic. Fries great. Wings crispy. Blue cheese great. Reasonable prices. Open 7 days now with new owners which is super smart.

Been there 2 times. Won't go back. All good reviews are from valley folks. Most locals won't go there.

Excellent burgers, good oldies music. It's a tavern so it's loud, but that's just me. But I would go back.

Service was fairly quick after that, and we were given a water dish for my pup immediately even though I had one. The wind was gusty at times and blew the paper plate and menu away for a second - twice! Went to order and asked if they had fries - Buddy loves fries. Waitress said no, but they do have a dog dish - chicken. I said sure! And then I ordered their meat pizza. They delivered the dish of chicken for Buddy and he LOVED it - inhaled it! And he is a very picky eater! Found out when check delivered that it cost $4.00 but I was totally fine with that! Then the pizza arrived - wow - very good! I meant to save some to take home but it was so very very yummy! Solid service, great food, and good value overall. I noticed family in the courtyard area playing with some of the games they have which is awesome. They also have an indoor area that is pretty open-ish with a fireplace even. Also noticed they have a wide variety of tap beers too! Hope to go back sometime soon and enjoy those too!

We started with the bone marrow and ravioli appetizer, and both were absolutely incredible. The bone marrow was rich, buttery, and melted in your mouth, while the ravioli was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, my husband ordered the spaghetti with calamari, and I had the pasta with white sauce and shrimp. Both dishes were outstanding--fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was delicious. What made the experience even more special was the exceptional hospitality. The owner and our server were beyond kind, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The decor is beautiful, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the entire restaurant has a charm that makes you want to stay and enjoy every moment. We finished our meal with dessert, and those were just as impressive as everything else we ordered. We've traveled to many places and eaten at countless restaurants, and Strawberry Lodge stands out as one of the best and most memorable meals we've had. We feel so lucky to have such an amazing restaurant nearby. We can't wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.

One of us had chicken with lemon sauce. The two pasta for calamari, spaghetti, and Bolognese sauce with fettuccine. We had bone marrow to start. The bone marrow was teaming with parsley and raw onion. After scraping it off, it was delicious if very little for the price. That was one of the better things we had. The chicken with lemon sauce was soggy, and it was supposed to be breaded and crispy. The pasta noodles that came with it had Parmesan on them and oil but not much else. The price did not reflect what we got. The Bolognese sauce was good, but the fettuccine noodles were so soft too soft And the calamari spaghetti was probably something that should've been sent back because it was extremely fishy. I've never had fishy calamari. My son's hazelnut cream cake was OK and my cannoli was OK even if the ricotta tasted like cream cheese and it's a very small cannoli for nine dollars. My son's strawberry lemonade was good. The espresso martinis, whip cream, and without cream for both overly sweet, but reasonably priced. I had a taste of the only Kiante they sold by the glass, and it was not something I would ever drink it lacked any type of structure or body to the wine. All in all the $270 bill was not reflected in the food that we received. We really wanted to like this place but we're not sure that we'll be back. I would rather go to Duzas or Fargos.

We ordered a double smash burger with bacon (an extra $2 charge) along with tomatoes, lettuce, and onion. The burger arrived with no bacon and none of the listed veggies. We also ordered a triple smash burger with cheddar cheese and tomatoes, lettuce, and onion -- again, none of the veggies were included. We also ordered a mashed potato bowl with chicken, corn, and brown gravy, but there was no brown gravy in it at all. Even though a lot of our order was missing, I will say the food itself still tasted good. The biggest issue, however, was the customer service. The young girl working there, who looked to be around 16 years old, was extremely rude and snotty. When I asked for plastic utensils, she replied, "We do not have any." I asked how we were supposed to eat mashed potatoes and gravy without utensils, and she shrugged and said, "Ma'am, we are a bar, we do not have it." I responded that I've ordered takeout from many bars before and they always provide plastic utensils. She then sarcastically replied, "Good for you, have a nice day." I tried speaking with who I believed was the manager (he nodded when I asked if he was), and while I was explaining the issue, the young employee continued interrupting and talking over me. Another waitress overheard the conversation and quickly returned with plastic utensils, proving they did in fact have them available. The employee then changed her story, saying she "didn't know" if they had utensils and claimed she was super sweet to me(not rude). There is no reason an employee should be speaking to customers this way. She clearly needs additional customer service training before handling customer interactions on her own.
