Great little spot where I had an amazing Iced Chai with Oat Milk. I was never a big fan of chai until I tried theirs. It was so good! Friendly service and nice ambience/vibe inside.
Good coffee really great service super nice people. I used to go here when it was first opened over a decade ago. The coffee is tended towards the fruity floral types and not the strong coffee chocolate flavored types which is my preference. So depends on what you're looking for.The prices weren't great but then again it seems to be in line with all the other coffee shops so everything's just getting more expensive. Unfortunately, they do not have Wi-Fi, but I think they are sort of going for the we're not a office workspace vibe.
Overall the ambiance is really calming and appreciate that there wasn't a long line. I ordered a chai latte (non-fat) and matcha latte (whole milk) and both were great. The chai was a little watered down, but well balanced. The matcha latte was yummy, but non-sweetened so if you want to have a sweet one, you can add sugar on your own. I didn't get to try the pastries but they seemed pretty unique and I'll want to try them in the fiture
Pinhole is absolutely poppin on a Saturday morning. The line was semi-long? There's a beautiful outdoor parklet space to enjoy your morning as well as indoor seating. The space is decorated with vibrant colors and the collage art was so stunning!! I got a dirty chai and almond croissant. I really enjoyed the chai and croissant. The croissant was more soft, layered buttery, flaky. Chai was spiced well! I think the prices were pretty high for the coffee/treats-the location is serving boujee Bernal locals so this makes sense. I did like the space/vibe a lot!
Came here around 11am on a saturday. Ordered a mocha and a vanilla latte. Both were good. Neither were overwhelmingly sweet. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but I'd stop by if I were in the area.

Probably one of the best cortados I've had in SF! I came here on early Sunday morning. Store was surprisingly busy, and there seem to be a ton of locals grabbing their morning fix. Good amount of seating as well, but no WiFi. Staff is also super friendly! The cortado was perfect. Milk was pulled beautifully, awesome mouthfeel, and the espresso was also great. Served with some sparkling water, super traditional. Really impressed, will be coming back in the future!
Love their cappuccino! Had the pleasure of meeting Jason when I popped in - he was very friendly. They have a cozy spot indoors and a large outdoor seating area in case inside fills up. I arrived in between breakfast hours and lunch so there weren't a lot of pastry options but looking forward to arriving earlier next round. Seems like a local favorite, as it appeared that there were a handful of regulars that were kind and wanted to take a moment to meet my puppy.
Do you want strong hipster coffee? If so, here's your place. Seriously, their coffee is strong. Like slap you in the face strong. Sugar won't save you. They're no nonsense drink your coffee and don't work on your laptop here kind of business. There are no tables and chairs for that. In fact, there's no WiFi either. Cute decorations, especially if you think antique cameras are cool. The geek in me says, yeah, that's neat. Staff of two people. A serious don't ask me questions cashier and an even more serious barista. If you want to get away from those coffee chains that are taking over every block and instead support a small business, well, then here's your place.
Love this neighborhood coffee shop in Bernal Heights! Why I caffeinate here +'s: + Coffee menu. It offers me a flat white in addition to the usual latte, cappuccino, espresso, mocha, and etc. There is also a sparkling matcha and other unique options. + Vibe. Love the decor inside and the unique seating + Local. No corporate or tech bros here + Outdoor parklet. Love sitting on the sunny side of the street to just hang with my drink, friends, and pups + Service. They are always friendly and make my drink right. Why I stay home to brew -'s: - My WiFi and PJs - Limited indoor seating Overall I will walk extra blocks here even though there is another coffee shop closer to me.
Cute coffee shop. Nice ambiance and good service. I came here with my boyfriend on a Tuesday afternoon. It wasn't too busy, and there was no line. I ordered an iced Ginger Snap (seasonal flavor, I believe) Latte, and my boyfriend ordered a Sparkling Iced Matcha. The cups are quite small so the drinks are on the more expensive side. I liked my drink. The flavors were subtle. The coffee was good overall. It was a nice cup of latte. Both my boyfriend and I did not quite like the Sparkling Iced Matcha. Personally, I'm not a big fan of sparkling water so that was my reason for not liking the drink. For my boyfriend, it was the flavor combination. But hey, that's just us. Maybe you'll like it?
Cutest coffee shop, and close to Holly Park / not too far from the amazing Alemany Farmers Market! I had a matcha latte - it was unsweetened, a little milder in matcha flavor, but still very refreshing. It was ready pretty quickly after ordering. It's got a smaller interior and I didn't see any outlets, so I wouldn't recommend for a long work session, but a great place to catch up with ppl + their outdoor parklet is pretty spacious.

The coffee tastes great, and I can't wait to stop by again and take home some of their beans. I do wish they offered organic, cleaner plant-based milk options--and it would be a nice touch if they added the coffee shop logo to their iced cups for a more branded experience.

Our favorite local coffee shop. The drinks are carefully made Normal big selection of drinks. They feature different roasters and have a nice selection of baked goods too. They have ample seating inside with good calm music, and a great outdoor parklet. Staff if helpful and knowledgeable read more

My favorite coffee shop in Bernal Heights. The barista was helpful and friendly, and helped me pick a delicious pastry (they all looked so good). I spent an hour sipping my latte and watching customers come in. It's clear this is a neighborhood favorite and that the Pinhole staff know many of their customers by name. It was vibrant and bustling inside, and they also had cute merch (I got a mug as a souvenir). I can't recommend this place enough. read more
Friendly neighborhood gem! I'm not even from this neighborhood but was searching for some satisfying smooth coffee and good vibes. The baristas were super friendly, super chill and super patient welcoming all my questions. They all wore masks as they attended to the customers. The ambiance was laid back, cozy, and homey. I ended up getting a matcha latte with oatmilk. And it was smoooooth and delicious. So grab a drink and walk up to nearby beautiful quaint Holly Park! Enjoy the view, the birds chirping, and warm brew! read more

The service here was excellent! I got the latte with oat milk, and they gave me free pumps of vanilla syrup for free. My partner also got a pour over, and they gave him free shots of drip coffee as well. The space is very peaceful with wooden accents and plants; additionally, the mood lights + paintings on the walls are so fun! read more

I love Pinhole!!! I live in Oakland, but our new favorite family outing is a hike through Bernal Heights park, followed by drinks and bagels at Pinhole. The coffee is so smooth - if you like the sour, highly acidic coffee, this won't be your favorite. I absolutely love their tea options - I had a caffeine free savory barley tea and it's such a relief to have a good caffeine-free option! On this last visit, they were happy to ice it for me. They sell Midnite Bagels, and if haven't tired them, go grab a bag. They are fermented bagels and have a unquiet taste; they make their own cream cheese as well. For the kids, they sell a "kid-cciano" which is steamed milk and honey. The service is so nice - loved the whole neighborhood vibe! read more

This is such a cute coffee shop! I came here after church for a quick stop. I got an iced matcha latte and a butter croissant, they were both delicious and presented very nicely. The baristas were so kind as well, immediately greeting me and making me feel welcomed. Ambiance was lovely, they have really cool decor! It's a great spot to meet with friends for a quick chit chat. I wouldn't come here if you were planning to stay for long, as space is limited, so if you were looking to study probably not the best spot. read more

The coffee here is great! Very modern interiors, along with comfortable outside seating. They may be a bit busy in the mornings, with some lines. They don't collect your name or call names out when putting out drinks, so it can be a bit confusing. No dogs allowed inside, but they do provide rings where you can tie your dogs to so they can wait outside read more
really cute, small, hole in the wall coffee shop! some people were working here when I arrived and the table was fully occupied. cafe also has bench seating inside and outside in front of the store. their latte was smooth and strong, and I also tried their hojicha mochi muffin that was enjoyable. it was from kahnfections bakery as were the other cookies and small treats on display. great coffee pick me up if you're in the area and craving! read more

This place was a wonderful surprise! Before leaving town, I decided to look for a local coffee shop for my friend and I to grab a drink. Driving through a cute neighborhood was not what we expected, but it was nice. As soon as we saw all the art on the walls outside, we knew this place was different! The staff was very friendly and our drinks were made quickly and so flippin good!! The barista even asked if I wanted some cinnamon sprinkled on top of my chai (I did, it was a glorious addition!). We sat in the corner and took in the relaxing, yet inspiring vibes. This place definitely made us both immediately say "I wish I had a place like this near MY house!" Absolutely will return the next time I'm in the city! read more

A super cute coffee shop that screams small business and homey vibes! The staff was extremely friendly (and all wore face masks which I can appreciate). The lighting was a bit dim so I am not sure this is the best place to come and work, but it is definitely a solid choice for a quick catch up with friends. They have an extensive menu full of traditional hits (drip, cold brew, matcha) and some specialty drinks (sparkling matcha). I personally ordered the sparkling iced Americano and it was DELICIOUS! I am a sucker for sparkling water, so the shot of espresso with the sparkling water was surprisingly refreshing! A must try! read more

This is place is full of charm and they serve some of the best Matcha I've ever tasted! It is not automatically sweetened so you can actually taste the quality of the tea itself. The baristas were super friendly and I watched them remain calm and helpful to others as the place filled up. The artwork and atmosphere were exactly what I needed. This has now become my go-to coffee spot whenever I come to SF. read more
