Haus Coffee is a very nice working cafe in SF near Valencia St, so super convenient if you want to do thrift shopping after work. Coffee quality is great, I had an iced americano and really liked it. They also have some pastries if you're hungry enough Wifi can be a bit hit or miss depending on where you sit. Closer to the entrance I couldn't connect well, but when I moved near the barista counter, it works so much better. There are plenty of seats indoors and outdoors. Outside has an iconic wooden staircase (I saw it in so many social media posts) that's perfect as a photo backdrop. There's also a super cute tuxedo cat lives in the cafe - the highlightttttt. Overall, chill spot to work, chit chat, coffee, or just a quick break, so I highly recommend you should check this place out for one. read more

If I could come here every day, I absolutely would This little coffee shop has the best vanilla lattes, and the staff is always so warm and welcoming. And Oden, the sweet shop cat who loves to wander around :) There's a beautiful outdoor space that makes it perfect for slow mornings, reading, or getting some work done (just keep in mind there aren't any outlets). Ordered a matcha latte, unfortunately there was only one person working and he was doing his best. I waited 15 mins for an Iced Matcha and he didn't even have time to properly whisk the matcha, I did have to add quite a bit of syrup as the drink seems to be unsweetened. Ordered an ice matcha latte & did not like it. I watched the barista make it and it was 95% milk. The color is super pale compared to a normal matcha latte that has a deeper green color. It tasted like straight milk over ice. Ambiance is nice; good for studying or working from. Lots of open seating and high ceilings. Awesome spot in the Mission. Storefront is pretty unassuming, but the space is actually quite large with a ton of seating, and even an outdoors backyard with more tables. WiFi is available, but if you sit in the back, it's pretty unusable. There's also a kitty walking around which is super cute! I got a cortado, and it was really well made. Milk foamed super well, and had the perfect ratio. Beans were not my favorite; a bit too sour. We are Australian Chinese , travelling from Sydney and visited this shop in January 2026. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing due to the shop assistant's rude and discriminatory behaviour. The staff member treated local Korean customers and foreign customers with completely different attitudes and showed a clear lack of professionalism and basic manners. Foreign customers were served drinks in noticeably cheaper cups, while Korean customers were given the same tea or coffee in much more sophisticated cups. My 11-year-old son noticed this difference and briefly looked at nearby tables. He observed that all Korean customers who ordered coffee were served with higher-quality cups. This was both shocking and upsetting. When I politely asked the staff member why there was a difference, she responded aggressively by throwing items loudly onto the counter. While we were waiting for our order, she also rolled her eyes at my mother and gave her a look of disapproval, despite the fact that my mother was simply sitting quietly and waiting. As a family visiting from overseas, we felt deeply uncomfortable and unwelcome. This experience left us very disappointed and shocked, especially as it occurred in front of a child. We hope the management takes this matter seriously and addresses the staff's behaviour to ensure all customers are treated with respect, regardless of nationality. read more

To Ron Mulluck the owner of Haus Coffee: My experience at 9:10am on Saturday, July 12, 2025, with SEBASTIAN at the counter, was my first visit to Haus and my last, and it compels me to speak up -- at least he claimed his name was SEBASTIAN. I walked into your completely empty coffee shop, carrying a laptop bag and a few of my wife's things. I politely asked SEBASTIAN if there was Wi-Fi. His immediate response, without so much as a greeting, was: "You have to buy something if you want to stay here." Tone: cold, defensive, and adversarial -- as if I were trying to steal bandwidth instead of be a paying customer. Caught off guard, I replied, "That's fine. You're completely empty, so I'll get settled and certainly get a coffee." I hadn't yet noticed the small wooden plaque with the Wi-Fi info on the counter -- my hands were full, and frankly, I was stunned by SEBASTIAN's unnecessary aggression. I set my things down at a table. A gentleman who had just walked in sat nearby and opened his laptop. I politely asked if he knew the Wi-Fi details. He said, "It's on a wooden plaque at the counter." So I got up -- less than three minutes after walking in -- ready to place my order and grab the Wi-Fi info. But as I approached, SEBASTIAN grabbed the plaque, pulling it out of view and snapped: "I told you that you need to order something to stay here." I said, stunned: "That's exactly why I'm here -- to order." SEBASTIAN then barked: "Then what do you WANT?!?" That was it. I replied: "Considering your attitude, I think I'll go somewhere else." To which SEBASTIAN smugly said: "Exactly." At that point, I lost my composure. I loudly confronted SEBASTIAN, asking why he was treating a customer this way, what motivation he had for being so hostile. He had no answer -- only threats to call the police. I demanded the owner's contact info -- and yes, I dropped a few well-earned F-bombs. SEBASTIAN, still evasive, still deflecting, offered nothing useful. The shop now had a short line of customers watching this unfold -- all witnessing a completely unnecessary conflict created and escalated by SEBASTIAN. I left. And, I'm NEVER GOING BACK! Ron Mulluck, SEBASTIAN is actively damaging your brand, driving away customers, and turning what could be a welcoming local coffee shop into a hostile, toxic space. Whatever training, screening, or oversight you think you have in place -- it's not working if someone like SEBASTIAN is representing you. Find someone better. Or be ready to lose more business. But, judging by the sheer number of similar Yelp reviews, this behavior isn't an isolated incident -- it's a pattern. Found this place while walking around and exploring the Mission District after having lunch at El Faralito's. This place has VERY minimal branding, just the sign outside the door and that's it! The cups and interior are free from all the branding. The menu is very simple and easy to understand. The only sad side of that is that there's no syrups or creamers that you can add to your drink. I ended up going with an Iced Coffee/Cold Brew which was a nice pick me up. They have a station where you could refill your water bottle and grab a lid/cardboard straw if you wanted to take your drink to-go! Parking is not horrible which is always a plus, and the Coffee house has very comfortable seating both indoors, and via the back patio. What in the capitalistic gentrification is going on? I live two doors down from this coffee shop and usually grab a quick coffee before work, but, I just had the most unwelcoming interaction. I decided to use my Saturday productively and visit my neighborhood coffee shop to work on some things on my computer. The cracked out disheveled barista approached me as I was setting up my laptop and demanded that I buy something if I wanted to stay. I don't know what happened to community and neighborly conduct in the mission. I don't support this coffee shop anymore, only the stray cat that visits has my best wishes. The outdoor patio looked really cute, but I wanted to be indoors so that I wouldn't get sunburnt. The customers were respectful and the staff was polite.
