Walking on Mission street you don't know what you will do run into. All roads in San Francisco lead to Mission street and no matter where you turn you will run into something interesting. Mission street runs by the waterfront of the Embarcadero to the border to county line of San Mateo in Daly City. Every block on Mission street can change from global business giants to mom and pop stores. Mission street at night is different from Mission street in the day time. In the morning there is a hidden gem right off Mission street where the coffee is rich and it's on Richland street. On a Mission street stroll I needed something to perk me up. Making a turn on Richland street I ran into Cafeto Coffee shop. Inside you can get breakfast sandwiches like the chicken pesto panini and also the ham and cheese flakey croissants like some in SF. Don Juan de la matcha was going to get the matcha but wanted to try the ice white mocha instead. It was refreshing and tasty. This is a good hidden spot to grab some good expresso. We found this place today and decided to try it out . Customer service was great we asked questions about the menu, they were very welcoming. I loved my iced chai delicious! I got an everything bagel breakfast sausage sandwich it was delicious! My partner got a breakfast croissant bacon sandwich and black coffee with honey. It a nice cafe and usually now with a baby we opt to take food on the go but it was nice and quiet so we ate in and talked and enjoyed our breakfast there. The customer service here was excellent, workers are super nice. I came here with my boyfriend, he got a iced chai latte which was mixed with the two types of chai they had as recommended by one of the workers. I had an iced mocha latte, was super good and not too sweet. Lastly, we had a turkey panini which was nicely toasted and a lemon scone which was super soft and moist. I do not drink coffee, but I do love a good breakfast sandwich and Cafeto Coffee Shop makes great breakfast sandwiches and paninis. They have seats right in front that always seem to catch a sunny day, so it's a nice place to sit and have a coffee/tea or bite to eat. My boyfriend likes ordering the pastrami panini and then adding an egg to it. I either go the breakfast croissant route or skip right onto the chicken pesto panini, both are good and just depends on the mood I'm in. I do like their iced tea, which comes unsweetened and gives for a little perk in the morning. The people here are really nice and accommodate our little additions. read more

The place rocks. Definitely worth coming through. The service is perfect. The two people working have such a kind friendly neighbor vibe and the shop itself is clean and has earthy sort of ambiance. The food is pretty standard in terms of price. Not the biggest portions but the quality and taste is definitely there. The coffee is also very tasty. I've definitely paid more for less tasty coffee in the city so I personally would highly recommend this place. read more

I came in here by happenstance as I was taking the long walk from Crocker-Amazon to SoMa. Smack dab in the middle of my journey, I saw their signage out of the corner of my eye just as I was crossing Mission. I crept up on it shielding myself from the disappointment I would've had if it turned out to be closed. Cute corner cafe with very fresh squeezed OJ and good breakfast croissants. Good chai too. You can choose sweet or spicy. I haven't tried sweet. Spicy is really good. And cheaper than Starbucks. read more

Finally! A coffee joint that is awake earlier than I am and in close proximity!! I strolled in at around 7am and Cafeto was already open with many guests inside. The friendly people behind the bar were smiley with a hint of energy that made me excited to try everything on their menu. I finally decided on a small red eye (perfect morning size) and a breakfast bagel on wheat, which included eggs, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and onion. Soooo delicious! The bagel was toasted to perfection and the ingredients inside were sliced well enough that it didn't explode in my hands. I enjoyed my breakfast outside on the seating provided. And as I sat peacefully smiling at my bagel, I was picturing when my next visit will be. read more

Cute little spot in the neighborhood. Came here on a Friday morning around 10am and there was only one other person in the shop. The seating is very limited, but they also have outdoor seating along the sidewalk. I ordered a cappuccino and a breakfast sandwich. The cappuccino was nice and dry and the coffee was rich without being bitter. I need to go back and try the Mexican Mocha next time. The breakfast sandwich was alright, but I'm not sure I would order again. I ordered ham and cheese on a jalapeno bagel. But instead I received just ham on a sesame bagel. The bagel looked really great, but had a weird taste to it. I took it apart and I believe it was the tomatoes. They had a earthy, almost dirt taste to it. MMmm really tastey flavorful chai latte and mexican mocha. The tables has comfy leather seats.. i think it's later ;) They have a big waterbowl outside for my dog and the window tables have a line of outlets for laptop free wifi ftw :D I like this place way better than starbucks. I stumbled upon this cafe by accident. It's on a random side street I take to work. They are open at the crack of dawn which is great since I have to be at work at dawn. (Kidding about the times, open early enough for me to make it on time.) First of all their pricing can't be beat. Nowhere else can I get a bagel, coffee, and parfait for under $10. Secondly their selections of foods and drinks. I'm not going to lie the Nutella mocha frappe is amazing and I will order it until I die. Their iced mochas are perfect. And the staff is great. I walk in and since I've been there a few times they know what I want immediately. They are so sweet and caring. My favorite cafe and I'm glad to say I've retired a larger known brand for this cute local place. read more

Who took my order was constantly helping me figure out how to make their power strips work, showed me the wifi when he saw i was looking for it (before i even asked). And a bunch of other points of service that they provided without me having to ask. The coffee was solid, but not jaw dropping. The only con of this place is that their wifi was horribly slow. Walked over to this cute neighborhood store for breakfast this past weekend. I got the poppy seed bagel with egg and veggies and my husband got the breakfast croissant and we both really enjoyed our meal. I am a espresso snob and was reluctant to try a new coffee shop. There's so many baristas that can't setup the machine each morning to save their lives. These guys make a great pour! Latin java. New cafe just off Mission. Small but very welcoming space. Caffeine menu is extensive and include unique offerings like the Latin inspired cortados (espresso with a bit of milk and foam). Liked. A lot. Complemented the Latin music nicely. Also enjoyed my turkey sandwich and parfait. Generous serving of turkey on the former. Hidden jelly at the bottom of the latter. Nicely done. A few tables available for conversing or using the free WiFi. Windows give you a view of quiet Richland Street. Day was cold but service couldn't have been warmer. It doesn't get any better than this. The barista's know how to whip up a delicious Chai Lattee (I like mine dirty). All the pastries are worth an extra cardio session at the gym (esp the coffee pound cake). The people who work there are warm and friendly and they seduce you to buy pastries with their smiles. Oh HECK YES, PEOPLE. Being south of Cortland used to be a lonely experience. If my morning java somehow didn't work out, I had no choice but to trudge ten minutes up a sheer cliff with a double stroller. Then, one day, a magical place appeared a block and a half from me, just around the corner from my favorite diner: Cafeto! Here are things I love about it: -The owner is super-friendly and dotes on my kids. -I can sit inside with the windows open and said kids can rumble around on the sidewalk. -There are awesome trompe l'oeil murals. -The coffee is wonderful and there are just the right array of noshes. - They have free wifi and are a great place to have your writing group meet. But not if you're going to be like those douchenozzles who go to Progressive Grounds who buy one small decaf and then set up shop with a Powerbook at a huge table for ten hours without budging or buying anything else. If you're a douchenozzle FORGET I SAID ANYTHING MKAY? but if you're not, see you there! Keep Cafeto running, we need them! read more

Cafeto is a cute little coffee shop in my neighborhood, the baristas are super nice, and they have yummy Mexican mochas and free wifi. Even though it's fairly small, in my experience it hasn't been very busy, so it's definitely a place I feel comfortable lingering in to do some work on my computer (doing that now actually :P). The coffee and pastries are tasty, and they also have smoothies, parfaits, cake, bagels, yogurt, string cheese, sandwiches and other beverages... So there really is something for everyone. All that said, I'm not sure about this place during the morning rush. They definitely take their time making milk and coffee based drinks, carefully stirring things together. I take this as they really care about the quality of their lattes, but it's something that might be an issue if you're rushing to work. Also, they use square, which I love :) read more
