Ok so we had a great experience going into the store, guy from Massachusetts you're great, but then we did a delivery. We were given the wrong size of the wrong vodka and no chaser that we ordered. The beer and liquor delivery is essential! When I was about to move to LA from TX I had heard about Pink Dot from Swingers and from my friends. When I got my apartment in Sherman Oaks...I found out there was one right by my apartment...score right? The week I moved here all the Pink Dot's but the Hollywood one went out of business. Son of a bitch. So the company that bought them, The Liquor Palace, discontinued the delivery and the 24 hour open schedule. Oh well, who needs delivery if you can walk there in 5 minutes. Cute place. Located on the Sunset Strip. Basically a convenience store. We were staying nearby at the Grafton and wanted cheap soda and beer. The Pink Dot was perfect for what we needed. Pink Dot is one of my favorite places to order from because it has everything I possibly want, and I can receive the items within 30 minutes and not have to leave my house. Every time I call, the employees on the other end of the line are always very nice and they recommend great food options for me. I got the loaded grilled cheese and it was superb. I was also able to get snacks and other household necessities that I was short on. Their service is excellent and I got everything in a timely manner. Very nice staff. They didn't deliver the Stella I ordered. When I called to follow up, they said that it had been packed so it must have been in there. They wouldn't refund it, and would not refund the tip. Dominick said he was the manager on duty but was rude and reluctant to give his name, and insinuated that there was no way the beer was not in the bag. At some point I realized that if I hadn't called to follow up, he wouldn't have done anything about the situation. He would have just left it. I asked if he knew there was an issue then why didn't he call me. At first he said he was waiting for me to call but then said, that he'd tried to call but my number only received texts and his phone didn't have a text function. That's just simply incorrect - you may call, email or text me anytime and you have all that information on my order form! I find this really unprofesstional. I order from them several times a week! And, worst of all - please don't insinuate that your regular customers are lying. I'm not. Here's another tip - Do not be rude. And lastly, do not lie because you only sound silly when you get caught in your own lie. Just solve the problem. Handle things professionally. Do not be hostile or combative with your customer. Let me start by saying that I order from Eat24 a LOT and this is the first place that has motivated me to sign up for yelp...just to be able to express how terrible it was. They took well over an hour to deliver, and the sandwich we ordered was cold and mediocre at best. I'm not even sure how it's possible to mess up an Italian hoagie sandwich but they sure managed to. The macaroni salad was inedible...I had to throw the entire container away (4 bucks down the drain). It looked NOTHING like the picture online and basically tasted like some noodles covered in mayo with some fake cheese tossed in the middle. My friend ordered a beer that was missing from the delivery completely. The staff is very friendly and helpful, including the drivers. The store has a nice variety of food, alcohol, tobacco, and household items. Delivery is on time 95% of the time... they only tend to run late if you order during rush hour. It's pricey, but then again they also deliver within one hour. Customer service declined steady through the years but now deliveries take 3 hours to never deliver... WTF! And when you call shitheads are blind as a deer in a high bean. Even though i've never taken advantage of that...The place is obviously a little overpriced for most products due to location convenience, and parking is a nightmare on most nights, but they also make fresh food which is nice. Since the Comedy Store is home for me, Pink Dot is a nice option to have for the late night hunger pains when you dont want Carnies or nasty Pizza Rustica. This placed has saved me quite a few times! They deliver groceries, household products and yummy food and drinks. They deliver to me at UCLA which rocks my world SO HARD since I don't have a car on campus. Last time I ordered the caesar chicken wrap and my roommate ordered a BLT on a baguette and we loooved it. I was expecting a Subway type of sandwich - but was pleasantly surprised. I hearty sourdough loaf of bread filled with fresh veggies, warm chicken, and very tasty pesto mayo! Delivery driver was friendly and got here in about 20 minutes - so that the sandwich was still hot and the ice cream was still frozen. Management kept harassing me to take review down and I fell for it when they bribed me with a 50 dollar credit towards my next order. Every single time I have ordered from this place it has been a nightmare literally. From the delivery guy demanding a tip to having missing items and wrong items brought back after original delivery times. Most recently I ordered turkey from the deli that was very slimey and produce that was old. Also ordered some packaged Ramen soup from these guys, soup was very moldy when I opened it. I purchased two sandwiches and two drinks from Pinkdot online. I provided my credit card information online and received a paid receipt confirmation from Pinkdot. When I went to pick up the sandwich at the store, the clerk asked to see my credit card and my identification. The clerk (Jenny) took my identification and my credit card to the back of the store and made a physical copy of them. She (Jenny) said it is store policy to obtain a physical paper copy of my driver's license and my credit card and retain it after each credit card transaction. I said, "I think it's against the law for you to make copies of those items and retain them." She would not return the paper copy back to me. I left the store and returned 20 minutes later and asked if I could pay in cash in order to prevent my identity being compromised from the physical copy she retained of my ID and my credit card. She called the manager (Dimitri) on the phone and he said he would not return the paper copy nor modify the transaction so that I could obtain the paper copy she took of my ID and credit card. He would not speak to me directly. There was also another lower ranking manager on site who would not talk to me directly. I called the police. They came and the manager (who was not there) stated over the phone that it is in Pinkdot's policy to retain a physical copy of the credit card and ID. The manager stated that this policy can be found on their website. The Police and I reviewed the website and found no policy stating this. The Police, however, did not get the paper copy back for me. VISA said it is against their policy for merchants to retain a physical copy of their consumer's credit card and ID, especially if the back of the card is signed. The merchant can VIEW the ID and credit card, but definitely NOT COPY it. Pink dot taking a physical copy of my Identification and my credit card for a $17 purchase??.....sketchy....and something fraudulent is going on. read more
