I think it might be time to give up on Pink Dot. I placed an order last night and set it to arrive at 11 AM this morning. So I was surprised when my phone rang at 1 AM, waking me up, Pink Dot was there with my stuff! I was tired and cranky and told them to come back the next morning. I called back at 10 this morning to make sure my order would still come. The guy on the phone just kind of went "oops, sorry" but did not offer to do anything or help with the situation. The order did come, eventually, an hour and a half late. I like the convenience of Pink Dot and the product is usually pretty good (love the Doughboy's of course) but the service is HORRIBLE. read more

If it wasn't for Pink Dot...i would have gone hungry so many nights, i would not have had ice in my drinks whilst i preparty, I wouldn't have a chance to leave the club and meet the delivery guy with a bottle of booze to keep the night going just before 2am. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. We placed an order and after an "hour and twenty two minutes" we never received anything. Dominick, the ignorant and rude employee who is currently working, told me he didn't know where his driver was and that he was somewhere in the world making deliveries. Then he said, we would receive our order when we receive it. This is unacceptable and terrible customer service! We live 2 min from the ghetto establishment and if Dominick had communicated with us that it would take longer, we could have driven on our own to pick up what we needed. I put in an order for a delivery this morning, and it took them quite a while to give me a confirmation call (20 minutes after my delivery was supposed to arrive). When I finally got the call, they told me I was outside their delivery area. That's nice, but according to their website their delivery area is Pico to Mulholland and between Westwood/Western. My house falls **smack in the middle of that area**, so I don't know what they were talking about. When I pointed that out, the guy said that the area recently changed. If that's true, then they should change their website. And if that's true, then they have just cut out half of Los Angeles in their delivery area, which I find hard to believe. Then they told me they were going to be an hour and 15 minutes from the time of their phone call - AND they were already 20 minutes late. At least they cancelled my order. read more

I used to use Pink Dot delivery for the convenience. That and the fact that my 2 young girls love their pizza (and they are quite picky when it comes to pizza). Of all the times that I had ordered from them, I must mention 2 very disappointing experiences: 1) My food arrived over 2 hours late. I had made many phone calls to Pink Dot only to be told by an employee that my food had already left. After at least 3 rounds of phone calls and being told "my food had left 10 minutes ago" each time I called, my food finally arrived. Pizza was very cold. I chalked this one time to a fluke because I had ordered from them many times before without issue....until: 2) My most recent, and absolutely last time, I ordered from them....similar issue as above. 20 minutes after my food was supposed to have arrived, I called Pink Dot to try and figure out where my food was. The person who answered informed me that my food left 10 minutes ago and that it should arrive no more than 20 minutes from now. Remembering my experience above, I had asked if she was sure about that and she practically guaranteed it. Well, sure enough, 30 minutes later, still no food. I called back and this time the person who had answered (apparently a different person) informed me that my food left 5 minutes ago. At this response, I was of course livid. I had asked her how was that possible when the first time I had called, the person who answered told me my food had already left? She then handed me over to the manager on duty. MOD gave the excuse that unfortunately the first person who quoted me the time already left and that a new shift had already started. EXCUSES, EXCUSES.... I had then informed the MOD that if the food doesn't arrive within 10 minutes, that I would reject the delivery and would like a refund. She couldn't guarantee that (I wonder why, when Pink Dot is only 2 miles away). Well, lo and behold, food finally arrived, but over an hour late. Pink Dot lost a loyal customer. Good thing that I ordered through grubhub. Their customer service was excellent. Not only did grubhub give me credit toward a future order, they got Pink Dot to refund my order. It was a hot day in West Hollywood as I walked down Sunset on my way to the office, and I decided to make a pit stop. As I walked into Pink Dot, I was greeted with smiling faces and the welcoming embrace of air-conditioning. As I perused the space, I was further welcomed with a large assortment of foods and beverages. They make sandwiches at the store and even have a breakfast burrito. I decided upon the breakfast burrito, and as I bit into it... my life flashed before my eyes... memories of childhood, family vacations, the sounds of music. I grabbed a water and a Stumptown coffee to complement. I didn't realize that they also had alcohol so I grabbed a bottle of red wine for the evening party. Time slipped by as I was there for 30 minutes looking over everything. The owner, Sol, approved of my selections and gave me a big handshake. I didn't realize that they delivered too! I haven't used them for nearly 15 years but that's only because I moved to Palm Springs. But I've never forgotten how great they were. Convenient and fast was what I liked. What I lived was the food. My favorite was the fettuccine Alfredo. My god it was good. Back then you couldn't order online, but the operators were fast and fun. I never once had an order wrong or late. I miss them dearly since I became disabled. And I hope that maybe someday they will open out here. We need it bad. read more

So I'm lazy, and there are times I don't even feel like leaving the house. Yay for Pink Dot. No. After ordering a handful of times from them, tonight was the last time. Last time I ordered, I waited 45 minutes for my order, only to discover that they forgot one item from my list, of course the discovery was made after the driver had left. When I called and told them, they said they would send him back immediately. I sat here and waited for two hours because they refused to refund the item to my card. I would like if it they were clearer on their credit card policy. I had a gift to deliver to a friend who was sick, and it was sent back because he didn't have my credit card. However once I sent them photos of my credit card they were very quick to re-deliver so I am grateful for that. Just make sure you read the fine print! read more
