I very rarely write reviews, but the service was so bad I want to share. I've been coming here for 3 years and they've gotten more busy to the point that it feels like a conveyer belt of nail appointments. Last time I got a gel manicure, i asked the technician to smooth the surface of one of the nails (the gel was lopsided due to her putting 4 layers, probably because the polish was not opaque enough) and she got upset at me, quite literally threw her hands up, and started working on another client. I was really shocked, and tried to tell her that she had otherwise done a good job. Then the manager got passive aggressive with me too. I think that the technicians here would be able to do good work if they weren't so rushed all the time, but maybe they're mistreated and take it out on their clients read more

I've been looking for a local nail salon to replace driving 30 minutes to my tried and true salon. I decided to try Pink Polish due to the many positive reviews, photos, and its convenient-to-me location. The Pros: I liked the ability to book an appointment online and parking was a non-issue because they have a parking lot, which is a gem in Seattle. I booked a shellac mani and pedi and when arriving to my appointment, I immediately loved their color selections. I was even offered white wine during my service. Things went downhill pretty quickly from there. I had one nail tech working on my mani and one on my pedicure. I guess they assumed that I didn't understand Vietnamese because they spent the majority of my two-hour appointment making derogatory, rude, and at times racist comments. The nail tech finished my mani, and someone else came over to keep the person doing my pedicure company and the comments continued. To name a few: When cutting my cuticles, the nail tech told the other person sitting and keeping her company "just cut these out, they are like duck feathers. They are dumb and don't know any better." Another time she stated, "Their skin is thick like a dog". After my nails and feet were done, I was thanked and asked how everything was. I said my nails looked great but I would not be back because of the rude and racist comments. I was then told, "I apologize if you misheard anything". First, that is not an apology. Second, I didn't mishear anything. I heard and understood everything being said about me, and other customers the entire time. Skill-wise, they did a phenomenal job on my nails. However, I will never come back due to the rude staff and derogatory, racist comments they make about their customers while smiling in their faces thinking that their comments can't be understood, and their lack of accountability when being called out about their rude and unacceptable behavior. read more

I liked how you could make online reservations and that the whole the whole team was so efficient. 90 percent of the chairs were filled the entire time, and it did not feel cramped or harried at all. My ( traditional non gel) mani/pedi was expertly done and still looks great a week after my event. Super cute and clean spot! I feel like it's rare these days to come across a decent nail salon. To my surprise, my friend and I were able to book a last minute pedicure appointment on a Sunday. I opted into a shellac pedicure with a shellac take off and the service went decently well. The technician was friendly and they offered me a complimentary drink where I opted for a mimosa. I thought that my pedicure could have gone better. There was extra polish on the side of my nail beds that made it look pretty sloppy. The other downside is that the polish began peeling less than two weeks later. I am used to shellac pedis lasting for about a month. For the OK job, I was stuck with paying $65. The price point didn't seem fair to me so don't think I will be returning. read more

Got 2 appointments same day. I am visiting from Cali and it's my daughters first Mother's Day's so I wanted to treat her to something special. We both hit their $80 pedi with a 20 minute massage...that sold us! When we got there, I added a mani for my daughter. OMG! Worth every penny. The ladies started with these jelly things in super warm water. We soaked for a little bit then they started doing the pedicure. There was a series of creams they used then a scrub and paraffin. The ladies did an amazing job!!! Staff was very welcoming and kind. Offered us drinks and consistently asked if we needed anything. My daughter lives in Seattle..I know where to send her when she needs a treat! Facility is very clean and polish options are huge. The massage chairs are strong and made the hour and a half pedi that much better. I will definitely get a pedi when I come back for a visit. read more

This was my second time coming in for a shellac manicure. The first time I went I absolutely loved how my nails came out. I have been doing my own gel manicures from home for about 7 years. I take so much pride in my long, strong and healthy natural nails. my first visit they were very gentle and took attention to detail and it lasted me about a month letting nails just grow and get stronger. This second time around, I got a different technician and I am aware that all use different techniques they practice, however this technician treated my natural nails as acrylic. Used the little drill machine to remove my shellac with such roughness that many times it caught my actual nail and caused some burning. After that she used a filer to file away the soaked polished, grinding down my nail beds. She then again used the drill, to remove my cuticles and sand down my nails even further. Once the final top coat was curated, she grabbed a filer and filed the sides leaving edges of the polish to already be chipped off. My nails have never been this thin in my life and it is super upsetting because it is not easy to maintain them as healthy as they were. They're literally thinner than paper and I feel I paid for a manicure that is set up to not even last long with how brittle my nails left leaving that salon. I will say the customer service is great, the front desk ladies heard me out and offered what they could, which was 15% off my next visit, but sadly I don't think I will be coming back after this. read more

I've been going to Pink Polish ever since their grand opening. For the most part, I really liked the salon. Everyone including the owner was nice, the salon was new and shiny, and there was an abundance of parking in the old New Season's lot. I knew I was paying a premium, but for me, it was worth it given the newness of the salon. However, I've noticed that the salon has gone on a downhill trajectory. Color selections are lacking, the massage chairs now have tape to hold them up, some of the technicians do not properly wear their masks, and just on Friday, I had one of the worst gel manicures of my life. As seen from photos posted, the technician could not for the life of her paint my nails to its entirety. I pointed it out and had her fix four different fingers and they were still not filled out. Not only that, but they were also different shades and had air bubbles in them! Eventually, I gave up because it was clear I wasn't going to get good services. I left feeling defeated and disheartened. Someone (albeit a guy) even asked me later that day why my freshly painted gel manicure looked like it was peeling off. That's how terrible it was. So in conclusion, while this was once upon a time my favorite nail salon, I can no longer recommend this place as you are paying a $10-15 dollar premium, but for very substandard services. read more

Overall pretty good! Easy to schedule, nice people, clean space. My gel manicure felt a little rushed - the manicurist didn't wait for the nail lamp to time out before putting on another coat, so at certain points the gel was still wet when adding another layer. Resulted in some bumps/bubbles on my nails, which is a little disappointing. That being said, I'd definitely go back and give the salon another try. read more

I was severely disappointed to find out they refused to provide my friend waxing services because she's trans, and they "aren't confident in their ability to provide waxing services to men." They agreed to provide a refund when I spoke with them over the phone back in May and told me to send an email with the details. I have sent multiple emails and have never received a response. Major health/cross contamination/disease concerns - My cuticle got cut which was not a problem BUT she grabbed teal liquid and a Q-Tip to stop the bleeding and proceeded to put the end that she wiped my blood off with back onto the nozzle of the teal color liquid- they also do not clean their tools after using them on each person - the French tip nails overall were decent but I ended up having to file and redo them myself a few days later because it wasn't fully what I asked for and think they def do better with actual designs. Updating my 4 stars to 5! Why? Because I swapped out my SNS for gel polish here and it lasted 2.5 weeks! I've never had gel last that long! It lasted until I broke a nail lifting heavy weights. My pedicure also lasted a good 1 month before my toe nails grew too long. Two other good things are the owner listens to feedback, and the time their massages that come with each mani/pedi. I'm Vietnamese and understand Vietnamese and today was probably the worst experience I've had at a nail salon due to my nail tech but my nails turned out great after a different technician (Crystal) fixed them! I really hate giving ratings like this but I just can't get over how my nail tech treated me. I booked a shellac with design but changed my mind to rainbow French tips. The service said from 1:20 - 3:00pm which was pretty accurate, but my nail tech was pretty unfriendly. I started the appointment letting her know that I was pregnant and have had experiences of having my cuticles bleed very easily when getting trimmed while pregnant and she basically didn't say anything but was gentle with my cuticles and let me know after cutting them these she tried to be gentle as possible. But then when she did the French tips, she wasn't making it thick enough to cover the white crescent part of my nails and kept telling me she couldn't go wider - I think it was miscommunication although my example showed thicker French tips. Then a customer came to my rescue and asked Crystal to help me and Crystal came and asked what I wanted and did exactly what I was asking for. But while Crystal was helping me, my nail tech was talking to her in Vietnamese not knowing that I am Vietnamese and understand it all! What I heard was that she mentioned I was difficult from the start which I didn't believe I was and at the end she even said I acted like a Princess... she might have been having a bad day but it was just a terrible experience. I think it's totally okay to speak to each other in another language, a lot of the time I hear Vietnamese nail techs talk about their kids, vacations, or help each other but I guess it's just weird hearing someone talk crap about me not knowing I understand. I didn't want to make a scene and even tipped decently bc I got what I asked for all bc Crystal fixed it. And Crystal was nice and friendly from conversations I overheard from her during my service in Vietnamese and English and she was super positive and also helpful to the other tech. She told the tech she can borrow a tool if she wanted to practice. I can totally see why Pink Polish is so popular - they do really good work and some of the techs are true artists! I would probably come again but I'd definitely request a specific tech and make sure I get the one I requested rather than letting them choose for you. read more

Im really sad to give this review, over the last few times I've been here it's been progressively worse for my acrylic fills. I got a brand new set the other day and a nail immediately broke (not doing anything too strenuous). I came in today to get it fixed and my cuticle was flooded with acrylic and it is way to thick and lumpy. I asked to have the side fixed but it was just lightly filed. They do such an excellent job here- I got my nails done by the owner Crystal and she could not be any more patient or kinder. I have long natural nails that I just wanted a thin layer of an overlay type product (but NOT a dip manicure). They offer a hybrid overlay here-the pros are it is not heavy as acrylic and it is light like a gel overly. I have super lifting nails...I just have an oily nail bed and I am rough on my nails. After my first appointment and 3 weeks later ZERO lifting! The filling process is so much easier and nicer with a hybrid manicure-no heavy filing or picking or powder flying everywhere with that odd acrylic smell that lingers in the air. The price is higher than a gel or acrylic but well worth the price! also because the product is lighter it doesn't flatten out your nail bed (you still have that natural curve). If you want a Hybrid overlay you cannot make an appointment online so you do have to call (not everyone does the service who works there). But when you call to make an appointment the person who makes your appointment is so super nice! I also like that you can make an appointment here-they do not overbook and the 2 times I have come in they are either early or right on time- none of that overbooking business here. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming here! the reception staff, even the nail technicals who are not doing your nails always have a pleasant smile for you and are just kind. The nail technicians seem to really like one another and are respectful of each other. I am always offered a beverage and a comfortable chair to sit in (in the case I am early). I LOVE that the owner pays their nail techs a living/fair wage! That is important to me- being a licensed cosmetologist myself I adore that they take care of their employees (most of the service industry is NOT that way). So if you think the prices are a little on the expensive side it is because they pay their employees a living wage...I will pay more to make sure someone else can live at the minimum-comfortably.
