I lived, had a business, and worked in Monrovia for years, and thought that PINK was a prominent and respected moving and storage company, but had never used their services. Past laurels should never be the sole reference. I made moving arrangements for a move from Arcadia to Palm Springs with a month long storage in the interim. I itemized every piece of furniture and lighting to be stored and specifically highlighted the marble tops on my bedroom furniture which required a packing crate. The furniture pieces were few (6) and the movers arrived on time but without the proper crates to pack the marble tops. A second truck and extra mover was needed to bring the crates and pack the marble tops. The delay as a result was hours long, and I was billed nearly double the quoted price, for the time and labor due to a deficit in arranging for the proper packing materials to begin with. A small credit was allotted to my account after I lodged a complaint but only reluctantly so, and a very nominal amount indeed. The move cost me an unexpected high amount of money. The move to Palm Springs was no less a disaster. I left my son's cell phone number as back up contact only, but Doug Pink preferred to call my son and not me with the news that the truck would be arriving late as the battery had been stolen the night before. PINK movers arrived with a large crew but only 3 members did the actual work slowing things considerably. The movers complained that they were late for the next customer in Palm Desert and rushed through my move. I was appalled to see that my mattress was taken from the truck uncovered and unprotected, and when I asked why, I was told that you have to request the mattress to be covered. The bed frame was put together hastily and I found 2 extra frame pieces wrapped after the movers left and have no idea where they belong. The heavy dresser mirror was also not unpacked, because I did not request it, and it was left in front of the door where I had to move it inside myself. It is still sitting on the floor because it is too heavy to lift. Doug Pink did say that he hoped my son and I would be able to move it ourselves, offered no compensation for the inconvenience, beyond an insincere apology: "Oh, Sorry." I would not recommend this moving service and would not use them again. read more

Pink Transport Rocks! What a nice bunch of guys and Leslie too at the front desk! I've spoken with the owners, brothers Jeff and Doug... and I think there's another one but through all the confusion of the move my memory isn't so hot! I used Steve and his crew to move and settle my stuff into storage and they were fast, efficient and got everything I own into 75 sq ft. Ask for them. It was great because they recommended the StorBox (get it?) Storage too who I also like for whom I wrote a separate review. We were moving from California to Nevada and needed a moving company we could trust. We contacted three movers. Bekins never showed or returned messages; Pink's arrived on time, gave us a complete estimate and it was pretty much what we expected and their reviews are impeccable. The third mover we canceled as after reading their reviews on Yelp. So Pink's was the obvious choice. also, this move was from a two story home to a three story Townhome. They arrived on time and I can't say enough how impressed we were with their professionalism and thoroughness! Jimmy and Johnny took care of use like it was their own. They had us loaded and finished packing for us within five hours. They showed up exactly on time and again had us unloaded in less than five hours. Jeff carefully explained the services Pink offered, explained pricing and what to expect. He answered all my questions and assured me my move would be handled professionally which it was. We had a move from an 1,800 SF place. Pink's overestimated their # of trucks and # of workers. They work hourly, taking many very long breaks throughout the day. We were charged $3,000 plus tip. Too expensive, the movers have no incentive to work efficiently. We will not use them again. read more

We have used Pink Transfer twice now and have been very pleased each time. Most recently, we moved back to Montrose from Old Town Pasadena. We moved a three bedroom apartment and a 10x10 storage unit from the 2nd basement level of our building. Like hyenas on a wildebeest, the crew of 4 men and two trucks devoured our belongings. In just the first hour or two, the men made incredible progress. In addition to navigating many stairs and tight corners, the crew had to partially dismantle an incredibly heavy and bulky treadmill. In the afternoon, a 5th man came to the new site and helped the crew to continue moving things into the new space. We have found Pink to be very reasonably priced, professional, on-time, hard-working, friendly, and really just wouldn't even consider anyone else if we moved in the area again. I find it odd to have such warm and fuzzy feelings about a moving company but I really do feel so positively disposed after dealing with them yet again. They are really good at what they do from estimating to packing up large items to moving. If you're moving in the area, I would have NO hesitation at all to recommend Pink to anyone I know... I used pink transfer to move in April while 9 months pregnant and they were super! The guys were very careful with my things, wrapped drawers and TVs, provided garment boxes and wrapped and boxed random loose items in my house, we also emptied a storage unit. At my new house they placed all furniture and every box exactly where I wanted it, including upstairs. Everything was done much sooner than I expected and I am so glad we used them. The Pink Transfer pick-up crew were very careful with our property, wrapping the furniture, paintings, and TVs, and boxing the loose items. They moved us from the San Gabriel Valley to our new home near Sacramento. When the delivery crew arrived at our new house, it was raining and they took extra care by laying out blankets on our floor to protect it and to unload on. Steve Green at Pink! This team was amazing today. My family are relocating across LA and could not be happier with our choice of movers. First, Brandon Pink gave an honest and fair estimate. Via email, text or phone he was available for quesitons, changes (even adding much more furniture than expected!) at all times. The team showed up early (7:15!) and loaded an entire house, drove, and unloaded before 2:00 pm. They were careful and thorough. Boxes went where directed and were moved when placed incorrectly. The walls and bannisters were not touched! They got a piano UP THREE FLIGHTS WITH TURNS with no damage to anything. They were friendly easy to work with. I honestly wish I could give Pink more than 5 stars. Our company had a huge 3 home move scheduled, with very specific items being taken from one home, dropped off at another home, while some items stayed behind, etc.. Needless to say, it was a complicated & detailed task. Steve, Miguel, Ray Ray and Bill are stellar. I distinctly remember using the terms, "Amazeballs, Oooh they're good, Epic and Wow" throughout the day in regards to their upbeat attitudes, efficiency, attention to detail and mindfulness when packing and moving every single item. Because, ps, NOTHING in either of the 3 homes was packed up. Bill set to work carefully & expertly wrapping china, porcelain figurines, and more, not skimping for a minute on packing material to ensure the safe delivery of even the most delicate items. He carefully sectioned off and labeled items, never missing a beat when more and more items piled into the space he had finally managed to clear out. Miguel and Ray Ray are the work horses of the group, padding, wrapping and lugging all the heavy furniture quickly and carefully to the truck. They were very diligent in calling out item numbers to check off on my ridiculously long list of items being moved to and fro. On top of that, they inspected each piece of furniture for any damage and made me aware of even the smallest nick or scuff. Steve is the leader of the pack and spent the day in constant motion between hauling items out to the truck, acting as liaison between myself, the homeowner and our never ending list. All the while he was organizing the truck as it was loaded, unloaded, reloaded, unloaded again and then reloaded yet again, only to be unloaded the next day (and I'm not exaggerating) between the three locations. Never once did I see anything other than a genuine smile on his face. All in all, these guys busted their asses during what was supposed to be an 8 hour day, but ended up being a 12 hour day. I'm sure they were anxious to get home and relax (especially since they were all scheduled for yet another big move the following day), but they upheld their impeccable work ethic until the bitter end. Wife and I just made the move from Pasadena, CA to Utah. Got estimates from various moving companies. Yes, Pink was the most expensive, but their incredible reviews are all 100% justified. The team showed up on time, quickly and safely loaded all of are boxes, wrapped up our larger items and had our whole house emptied in about 3 hours. They then arrived in Utah right when they said they would, and unloaded the truck in no time flat. Not one box was lost and the only broken item was a lampshade that we packed poorly. Swearing on the job, making inappropriate/awkward comments to me and my kids, talking back to us, socializing between themselves way too much, doing the bare minimum and trying to leave as soon as possible, ruining or not handling properly cautiously, and then acting fake and all friendly towards the end so they'd get a good tip. The list goes on and on. Overall very negative experience and no fun trying to deal with these guys. Definitely never using this company again for a move nor am I ever going to recommend them to my family or friends. If I could give PINK negative stars, I would. WE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE START TO FINISH. We chose PINK based on reputation-- big mistake. I'm going to start this by saying that I am disabled, so I am unable to pack and my husband couldn't do everything by himself while working. So we booked a full pack and move. We dealt with Brandon, one of the owners. His quote was WAY off, even after being told that we have a ton of stuff. We informed him that we had TV and other boxes, he promised that would save us money. The two guys they sent were totally incompetent. The one who was supposed to be "lead," Andrew, BARELY did ANYTHING! He stood around talking, was on his phone, and would leave for extended periods of time. His partner, Chris B, was the only one working, and we mistakenly thought he was doing a good job. That is until we started to unpack... There are so many things that are BROKEN, or damaged. They didn't properly pack liquids and other materials like that, so multiple boxes had stuff that leaked on EVERYTHING else in the box and I had to throw away so many things! NOTHING was labeled properly and things are missing. They didn't use our boxes even after we kept telling them about them and when we went to Andrew about it, his response was "Sorry I forgot." Of course we got charged for their boxes. The last two rooms that were packed, everything was just thrown in boxes. Then these two left our house at 2, like were down the hall getting on the elevator at 2 pm. They started at 8, so that's 5 working hours. FIVE. THEY PADDED THEIR HOURS CHARGING US FOR A FULL DAY, when they half assed EVERYTHING, RUINED our stuff, THREW our stuff in boxes, DIDN'T EVEN pack everything we asked them to, and LEFT EARLY! My husband packed the majority of our bedroom because of how long they were taking and because of the fact that only one guy was working. He literally was packing our stuff the last hour they were there because Andrew was doing nothing. My husband even had to pack our TVs. Andrew was literally no help his response was, "Uh ya it seems really complicated, I dunno man." They left SO much unpacked, that added SO much time to the next day. We contacted PINK at this point about this because we were already not happy. Brandon called me and I missed the call, so he called my husband and told him "Gee it sounds like Brittany is having a bad day." ARE YOU SERIOUS? We fed their guys breakfast, a snack, and lunch, tipped the one we thought was working, and my husband did half their job. We expected the owners to do SOMETHING to help the situation, but NOPE! He told us they didn't leave that much for the next day and made excuses for the guys, especially the one who did nothing. I tried to call Brandon back myself like 10 mins after he called me, right after he spoke to my husband and he was gone for the day. Nice. The estimate for the next day was for 8 hours and 4 guys. They sent a crew with 6 guys and apparently are supposed to tell you ahead of time because you get charged for the extra bodies. Did they tell us ahead of time? NO! The next day took over 12 hours! Even with the extra two guys. There was so much damage to our stuff, things were broken, one of our mattresses has foot prints on the back of it, they got a HUGE black mark on my TAN couch. I paid extra to have them move around boxes for me after they were done and they did the opposite of what I asked them. Then to top it all off, THEY LEFT MY SON'S DESK AND CLOTHES AT OUR OLD BUILDING! My son had nothing to wear that night. I mean seriously it was a mess from start to finish. On the second day when we discovered that we had been charged extra for the packing, and had been charged for materials that we had and they didn't use. We were LIVID! My husband called and spoke to Doug because Brandon wasn't in. Do you know what the resolution was? TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND TAKE OUT THE MATERIALS AND EXTRA HOURS! That was it. That was how they resolved this. It took HOURS to hear back from them to even get that sorted out. That was compensation for their crew trying to rip us off? That is how they resolve a customer issue?? Then as we began to unpack and find the messes that were left by the packing crew and reached out to them again about all the stuff that was broken and damaged, what happened? THEY DISAPPEARED! Clearly they do not stand behind their crews or know that this is what they do, so they just avoid you and think that you're going to just go away. I knew I shouldn't have gone with them when I read some of the negative reviews, theft, damaged items, and their crappy customer service. It's happened to others. It happened to us. And will happen to more. READ YOUR INVOICES CLOSELY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PINK MOVING AT ALL. DO NOT USE PINK MOVING AND STORAGE. They are deceitful, unethical and will not own up to their mistakes. If you are considering them, please read ahead and at least learn from our mistakes. At first glance they come off as one of the better companies, independent, family owned, caring, reasonably priced, not cheap but not the most expensive...priced well enough to make you believe that they know their business. If your move is local or within 500 miles they will promise you a dedicated truck so nothing can go missing and nothing can go wrong. We were one of their victims. Our move was from the Las Vegas area to Orange County. Before I continue I will own up to several mistakes on my part, some obviously stupid in retrospect. Pink arrived with two movers and a supervisor that were part of the company in California, and two local Vegas guys apparently hired from a third part "mover's labor" website. Our first big mistake was when we were persuaded by Steve, the supervisor that we didn't need to tag any of our property as it was all on a dedicated truck and that if they took the time to tag the move it would cost us more. Believing him we decided not to tag. Our second big mistake was letting them take some valuable artwork. We were assured, after asking, that it would be safe. I absolutely take responsibility for being that gullible and believing them and not driving the artwork in our car to our new destination, but that does not excuse what ultimately happened. Needless to say, when we arrived at our new home and when we sorted out opening our boxes our valued art work was missing. In addition: our refrigerator and washer were also damaged beyond repair. Our correspondence over the missing artwork started nicely enough with the usual disclaimers of "we know we delivered it and remember putting it your garage" and escalated to them calling us liars and telling us to take lie detector tests! In all honesty we do not know if the artwork was taken by Pink or by the local Vegas labor they hired but it definitely did not arrive and was worth on the open market around 10k. Unfortunately, we have no proof as nothing was tagged and we are helpless in this situation. We put in a claim to Pink but they denied it immediately. Regarding the appliances we did not notice the damages immediate as we were out of town for several weeks after we moved due to our daughter having surgery. We had licensed repair people come around who told us that both appliances were damaged and beyond repair due to the move. Pink denied this as well. I have no doubt Pink will refute this review and come up with many detailed outlines trying to call us out as liars. I say this as it has been reflected in the past months in their accusatory emails to us. I hope I can hold back and have the dignity to not reply to any replies they may have. I just say in closing: having read the above why even take a chance on them screwing you in any way when there are many other better and more honest choices out there? Moving is often one of the most stressful events in a family's life, and the experience with Pink became a true nightmare. Yes, without a doubt we are hurt, angry and very upset, but with no solid evidence this review is my only way of spreading the word. DO NOT USE PINK! read more

Was recommended by a few of my wife's friends and so we called. Jeff Pink came and did an estimate at our house. The day of the move, the crew came on time and ready to go! We opted for the packing and moving service. It took us about 11 hours for all my stuff (junk) to get moved, but the experience was a very pleasant one! All the crew (Ben, Andrew, Chris, Ralph and Chris #2) were friendly, polite and professional. When we reached our new house in Pasadena, our new neighbor actually recognized some of the crew. Turns out they have used them a few times! Pink isn't the cheapest service out there, but they made the experience well worth it. We used Pink for the second time in 3 months. We called on Wednesday and had our move scheduled for Friday morning. As always, they were professional and courteous and so very friendly. The movers, Calen and Alex, showed up on time as planned and were wonderful. They moved two large items into the garage (no easy feat) and put together several pieces of furniture for us. I do not plan on moving again for quite some time. But if I did, Pink would be the only company I trust to take care of us. I used the Pink movers a few years ago and was really happy with them. The movers were friendly, efficient and worked quickly AND CAREFULLY to make sure all of our furniture was carefully wrapped in blankets. I don't remember any issues at all with scratches or damage. They were open to our questions and feedback and took great care of us. I'm writing this review now because I moved again this week and used another company because the Pink movers were booked. Only after this weekend did I realize just how great Pink is. I strongly recommend them, even over other highly rated companies. Next time I move, I'll call Pink in advance. read more

Because of my husband's job, we have been moving a lot and always had good experiences with our previous moving companies but this one has been awful and extremely stressful. Jeff Pink (the owner) came at our home for an estimate and seemed very professional. We have a big and very fragile painting and specifically asked him to NOT wrap it with any cardboard or paper. He assured us that he would never do that because his company "always" use moving pads for paintings. He also said that he was the only company that would accommodate our needs and expectations for this moving and delivery dates, and that he would be our moving coordinator from the first to the last day and would always be available for any questions or concerns that we would have, which was good because we had to rent a place in DC to wait for our delivery and needed clear answers to all our questions. We decided to trust him after we read good reviews online. Our experience has been terrible. First of all, after the contract was signed, Jeff Pink sent us an email to ask for 50% of the total amount at loading which was absolutely not what we agreed before. Usually, reliable movers do not ask you any $ before delivery. That was the first red flag. Then, we never got any news from him and had to email/text/call without getting any answer from him. We did not know how long we needed to rent a place in DC which was very stressful for our family. Once arrived in DC, we still never heard from him. After harassing him by text, he finally replied that he didn't have any control on his contractor (because they are local, they don't deliver but deal with another moving company) and that he would try to get some information to know where the truck was. This was 2 days only before the delivery day. Finally, our moving was delivered one day late which we learned the night before, so we had to sleep on old mattresses on the floor because our rental was not available anymore and the hotel night was too expensive for us. I forgot to mention that I am pregnant and that we have two young children. It was a nightmare! And of course, no phone call or apologies at all. End of the story: the truck arrived and our moving was delivered but one of our bookcase had been broken, and our painting seriously damaged because it had been wrapped with paper, so the varnish got stick against the paper. Worst of all?? We filed a claim but just got $100 for all - the last joke from Pink Transfers -. Jeff Pink NEVER called us, apologized or fixed the problem. This company might be ok for local moves but they are totally unable and unprepared for national and cross-country moves. I truly was dismayed by Jeff Pink and how unprofessional and unfriendly he has been till the end. Of course, I would never recommend this company to anyone and would just run away from them, even for local moves. read more

We packed and boxed most of our own things. But Pink packed the flat screen, pictures, and 2 big mirrors. They also brought wardrobe boxes for us to use. They also sell used boxes at their store, which was helpful. Brandon visited our house to set all this up and gave us a clear expectation of what the bill would be. He suggested the option of them packing the tv, pictures, and mirrors. Besides working hard and doing everything expected, these guys had a great attitude and were very respectful and upbeat. This was despite the constant rain in Walnut Creek on Monday. Their service was great. They set up all 3 beds in our new place before they left, too. I couldn't be happier with their service! 6 guys, 2 trucks, professional and efficient. Punctual and speedy. Nothing was broken. They were all very cool. Moving is never fun, but, these guys helped it along with a lot of laughs. I even appreciated getting "scolded" for trying to move a few things myself here and there. They were very concerned with safety. Pink was a last minute call for us, as I called the mover I had booked the move with to give them the address of the new house. The moving company (I won't publicly call them out by name here) had no record of my reservation, even though they had moved us into our house 9 years ago, and I had referred numerous people to them. I had booked the move personally with the owner of the company. Now we were less than 2 weeks away from moving, and knew most companies would be booked up this close to the end of the month. all this happened, by the way, while I was on location in Mississippi, leaving my wife and her mother to pack the house. Doug Pink handled the booking very quickly and professionally, and the move went beautifully. Efficient and careful, they moved us out of the old house in 3.5 hours and into the new house in under 4 hours. Alex and his crew were very courteous and funny. And after finding out that my wife had dislocated her shoulder falling into the rose bushes while finishing at the old house, 2 of the crew individually approached me later, asking if she was okay. Have to give a 1 star. They handed us over to Stevens Van Lines which claimed that Pink did not label boxes correctly. So, we had an item go missing and since it was never delivered... wait for it... they said it never existed. Nice. Thousands of dollars in damage and they took NO responsibility. AVOID. read more

Pink's just moved my parents from their home of 63 years to a condo across town. The crew arrived on time, were polite, very hard working and very capable. They packed and unpacked all the furniture and breakables, even had to hand carry a 7' very heavy sofa up several difficult flights of stairs. Everything went great with nothing damaged and the guys were so nice. No question who I'll call next time. Ask for "Jerry's Crew" they're the guys who helped us. read more
