When I visited on a Monday night, it was almost completely empty. However, when I drop in on weekends, it's much more lively. I've never had a negative experience with the employees at this shop, who let you sample a couple flavors before you order. The inside is small and feels vintage. There's a couple tables indoors and more seating outdoors. I genuinely love the gelato here. It may be for sentimental reasons, but I truly think the gelato here is unmatched by any other ice cream place I've visited. I love the soft and slightly stretchy texture of the gelato. It's definitely softer than other ice cream I've tried, but I honestly prefer this type of elasticity. The flavors are very classic: I love the strawberry fresca, lychee, and stracciatella flavors. This is my third time at Marco Polo and it really hit the spot. The location is in Vietnam Town, on the far right side, next to Pho 90. Parking here can get tough because of the plaza itself so just a heads up to folks who do not frequent the area. What makes Marco Polo so special is their Asian gelato flavors that you cannot really get anywhere else (that to say a lot of places are now expanding their selections). This was the first spot where I could finally get my hands on durian gelato and it was absolutely delicious. The store itself has around 3 tables for you to sit in and is pretty bare boned. It is good for a grab and go but with the limited seating inside and outside you could spend some time here. Service is quick and you are able to try out some samples. This time around I ordered black sesame and Pandan, while my partner got mango and lychee. It was near close so they ran out of mangosteen unfortunately when I went. While the flavors were great, stood out, and were bold, I will say texturally it was a bit icey for my liking but that might have been because they started crystallizing from being out for a while. My husband and I are not the biggest ice cream people so it was not initially on our radar to have ice cream at our wedding, but once sampling Sugar Mamas we knew we had to have them be part of our day. We did a tasting which included 16 flavors of ice cream. Some of the flavors were a little plain, but we especially liked their fusion/more unique flavors like durian and guava. They were also super sweet and let us take home all the ice cream from our tasting! The communication the weeks leading up to the wedding was a little delayed, but everything ended up working out smoothly (especially because theybhad experience working with our venue). They served black sesame brittle, guava, durian, vegan pineapple mango coconut, butterscotch, and cookie monster ice cream. All our guests loved the flavors and they ran out of ice cream within the 1 hr 15 min serving time. We didn't get to try the ice cream at our wedding, but they were so nice and sent us home with two pints of ice cream. Overall, highly recommend!!

It took a couple calls but I was finally able to get ahold of Jyoti who said the cake was ready at Sunnyvale but the order had been marked as a "pickup"! She very kindly rushed over and delivered the cake right away and it made it just in time (about 10 minutes before the party was supposed to end)!!! I called Coldstone Creamery on Saturday 5/30 ~9:30PM (right before closing) and talked to a female employee. I'm not sure where the mix-up happened, and didn't receive a confirmation receipt/email so I couldn't catch the mistake beforehand :( I really appreciate Jyoti for going the extra mile to save our event but hope they can avoid the mix-up in the future!!
