Unfortunately we were rushed as first timers we viewed their reviews and were hoping for that experience as well. This felt like a quantity over quality shop and won't be returning that's for sure! Nail tech kept changing prices and was giving attitude. The receptionist and decor was very nice and has a beverage center but service a big 0 zero. The tech lady did not fur fill the manicure and did not cut cuticles correctly and the "sun" she so called drew for an additional $10.00 have now chipped away(it's only been 3 days) what type of salon are you guys running here ???? Money hungry much. read more

First time visiting Kitchen Nail Bar with friends. Scheduling was easy--you can either call or book online. I called a few days in advance, and our party was seated about 10 minutes after our scheduled time, which was understandable since the salon was quite busy. I do think the experience can vary depending on the nail technician. I had Taylor for my manicure and Tiffany for my pedicure. They were both friendly, but unfortunately lacked attention to detail. While my nails looked fine from a distance, I noticed thick, uneven layers and some sharp, rough edges after leaving the salon. Based on this experience, I don't plan to return. That said, if you already have a nail technician you trust here, it could still be a solid option. read more

Loved my nails soo much and my sisters too. Really great products and long-lasting nails. received soo many compliments on my nails. Unfortunately, due to my job I had to take them off. Tina is very attentive and kind! I've seen her twice now and she's very good at helping with my ingrowns (I am very prone to them, which is why I pay for professionals ahah) The team here seems to run like a well oiled machine and is always packed! But if you schedule your appointments online or beforehand, I've never waited more than like 10 min! I actually like the vibe and quality of this location more than other Kitchen Nail bars in the area- I've definitely become a returning customer! read more

Love this place so much! Always my go to when i'm getting my nails done! The staff is very kind and makes you feel so unbelievably relaxed. They are a tad pricey, but honestly it's worth it. I've been going here from time to time for years and this last experience was probably the last time for me. I paid extra to get the upgraded manicure and it felt really rushed and within 2 days it was already chipping. I scheduled a quick morning appointment for them to fix the nails that were chipping and the technician was so short and rude, I was going to leave her a little tip for her service and she just said "Okay you can go now" and walked away. She just put one more coat on the nails instead of actually removing the polish and within hours it chipped AGAIN. Whatever, it happens, but when I called to see if I could come about 30 minutes before the close just to fix one nail and they said "no, it's too late". This place is not cheap and for them to be kind of rude and dismissive doesn't make me want to give them any business. read more

So a basic pedicure is now $47 with nothing fancy. They will charge for "take on & off gel" for $20. So we're at $67 with nothing but paint. Eventually you paid $74 for basic pedicure with gel. No wax, no scrub, quick massage. Nothing fancy at all. Highway robbery. $47 to $74 in the end. Excuse me what? Every holiday their prices increase and do not look the other way. They offer refreshments and what not. But I can clearly see they're not as busy as they usually are. Not a long wait time which was nice. Technician was nice, but still translate her conversation and saw some slight shade didn't quite appreciate. But she did check in and make sure was satisfied before each step. Clean location. I'll pass on this place. $74 use to get the whole wax, 10 mins massages etc. that's the basic starting now! You're kidding. read more

I have been to Kitchen Nail Bar three times now. My first and my third time was with Khloe, and I worked with Naomi for my second visit. They do not listen to feedback or try to work with you. Extremely disappointing because I was hoping to make this my regular nail salon. The ambiance is nice but they're unable to hear you out if you dislike anything. Khloe was in a good mood the first day and was chatting with me. I liked her customer service even though the nails were not perfect--I asked for nail art and the lines were crooked but I didn't mind because I understand that it's art and you take that risk. I didn't say anything to her so she was happy, but today I decided to give her a little feedback about the shape of one of my nails. She was already in a bad mood today because of how she greeted me and how she was annoyed that I asked for water. I sat there quietly already feeling like I was unwelcome, but when I saw that one nail wasn't shaped right, I just said "I think this one is a little angled to one side." Khloe immediately got offended and said "I'm not done yet" in a very rude way and then kept making follow up comments like "why don't you let me finish" and "look at the other nails" and kept berating me even though I had already gone silent, regretting even saying anything to her. Then, when she said "your nails were just done poorly before, that's why you think I'm not shaping it right," I just reminded her that it was Naomi who did my nails last time, which was someone that Khloe had recommended to me. Then, she tells me "if Naomi can't do your nails then maybe you'd be a better fit somewhere else," even though I never said Naomi can't do my nails. I was just responding to Khloe saying that my nails were done poorly before. Khloe then got more annoyed for some reason and made me feel bad in front of all the other customers. She also didn't do a good job on my nails, they are unevenly shaped and the nail polish doesn't cover the entire nail. I didn't say anything at the end to Khloe because it seems like you're not able to give feedback to nail technicians here without them taking it personally immediately. I still tipped and left politely. The same thing happened with Naomi last time, who did Ombré nails on me. She couldn't get the color right that matched my reference picture, and kept suggesting colors that weren't right. When I asked to try a different color, she told me the picture was bad. Then she did the ombré unevenly, and was super rushed. I didn't feel like I could make a comment about it to her because of her dismissive attitude and I left feeling sad but unable to say anything. Today Khloe told me I'd be a better fit somewhere else even though all i did was politely ask if my nail looked angled to her. Please don't come here if you're the type to say something about your nails if they're not doing them how you like them. Only go here if you're able to just let them do whatever they want, and not say a single thing. Their ego is absolutely wild here. read more

I'm quite particular about nail quality. The service here is very fast (everything was done in about an hour, which is great) However, the attention to detail could be better. My cuticles felt a bit rough, the shape wasn't exactly what I asked for, and the nails ended up thicker than I like. It also bothers me that the polish didn't fully cover the top of the nails, leaving a gap without color. Good for quick service, but not ideal if you're looking for a precise, high-quality finish. read more

I had an amazing experience here! Zoe and Lisa were both so attentive, friendly, and detail-oriented. Zoe did my nails and Lisa did my pedicure -- both came out beautifully! They were incredibly accommodating throughout my visit and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The entire salon is clean, welcoming, and super nice. Lynn was fantastic! I came in and made a same day appointment for a pedi on a Friday an hour later. I was able to do some shopping and check out some stores before heading back to the salon, where I was promptly checked in and seated by Lynn. She was great showed me my options and worked diligently to get my feet back to their former glory. She made me feel comfortable and checked on me regularly. read more

I had a need for an emergency fill and fix of a cracked nail. Luckily the team at Coleman was able to fit me in with less than 15 mins notice as I was already in route to their shop. I was paired with the lovely Hannah who immediately asked if I wanted anything to drink and if it was too cold in the shop. She understood my vision for my nail design from a photo with minor verbal changes, and expertly delivered. I absolutely love my nails and the amazing customer service provided by Hannah. Even though I was a last minute add to her schedule, I never felt rushed :). I know the answer to part of your question and that is yes, they are able to remove prior work for a fee. $5.00 to remove gel. Check out their website, they have a pretty explicit menu.

Upon booking, I told the front desk I'm very picky. I'm a creative director by trade and I need someone very precise. She cut me off saying don't worry all my technicians are very good. Consequently, I had shown the nail tech my last manicure and asked him to recreate these very basic neutral medium length almond nails. I asked him for advice regarding what nail extension technique would achieve the look. We debated a bit. I know a lot about nails because I used to have a nail business in LA. I made a choice amongst the techniques and he insisted on another and proceeded with that, insisting I wait and see. Well, too late now it's done and anyone in their right mind would see this is a garbage job in addition to being nothing that I asked for except for the color of the polish. See what they gave me compared to my previous mani and how much they differ. Nails sit lifted on some nail beds and straighter on others, but unevenly distributed gel. They're just all over the place. A salon is only as good as it's consistency. I do not recommend.

I requested: * #108 Gelixir purple gel polish + acrylic fill manicure * #108 Gelixir purple regular polish + basic pedicure The owner upsold heavily throughout. I even let her do extra work on my pinkies to build rapport. Total: $81 Tip: $15 (tipped before the service was completed) She opened the shop ~5 min late despite accepting my 9:30 AM appointment, & complained aloud, setting the tone for our session. *~~ Where Everything Went Wrong 1. First Mistake Toe spacers were applied after polishing but before the paint was dry, immediately smudging the big toe. 2. Second Attempt They only partially removed the polish to "fix" it. Because the initial coats weren't fully removed, the application was thick and uneven. After 40 minutes of "drying," the nail dented and the texture caught the lip of my shoe, scratching again. I told them I still had time if they wanted to properly redo it. 3. Third Attempt A kind staff member accidentally damaged the other big toe while helping me into disposable sandals. At this point, my toes had been ruined three separate times--all due to staff actions. *~~ The Owner's Response When I asked if they could use gel on the big toes (since the mistakes were theirs), the owner refused and claimed: 1. The colors "wouldn't match." 2. Gel and regular polish can't match--despite the Gelixir palette offering both and my manicure proving otherwise. 3. That because I chose regular polish, the outcome was my fault. She repeated this many times. 4. That regular polish takes "hours to dry in cold weather," something she never mentioned and is simply not true. By then I had been there from 9:30 AM to 12:20 PM, and the pedicure was the first service we started. *~~ Escalation & Unprofessional Conduct When I calmly asked for a reasonable fix (or at least accountability for my time), the owner became rude, defensive, and dismissive. She offered: * No refund * No partial refund * No refund of my tip * No solution She repeatedly told me I could "leave if I didn't like it" while her staff was trying to help me with bare toes. Instead of accountability, she lectured me with constant "you" statements and kept shifting blame. I stayed polite and attempted to de-escalate, but she kept escalating. My friend who was with me also felt the owner was short, judgmental, and rude from the beginning. As a Filipina, I'm familiar with cultural bluntness--this wasn't bluntness. This was aggressiveness and unprofessionalism. *~~ Service Quality & Safety Concerns * They used a pumice scrubber on my inner ankle bone, leaving raw skin and micro-cuts. * The owner drilled harshly on the sides and cuticle area during my fill, causing irritation and cuts. When I said "ow," she told me I "needed lotion." (I regularly moisturize; the issue was her technique.) * During upselling for designs/gems, she asked about two fingers. When I agreed, she worked on the wrong fingers, insisted I said "all," and did the same thing to my friend. * Despite her picking my friend's shade, she acted annoyed when we asked to see it on one toe. Odd behavior throughout--there's truly no winning with her. *~~ Final Thoughts Based on quality alone, this could have been a 2-star experience. But the owner's behavior makes it a 0-star experience. Earlier, she told me her business struggles with retention but has some regulars. Now I understand why. The recurring reviews about poor customer service suddenly make complete sense. Even her responses to negative reviews show the same pattern--confrontational, defensive, and unwilling to take responsibility. It's impossible to relax when the owner is hostile, unaccountable, and provides no customer care. This was my first time going (only to accommodate my friend's work schedule) because in theory the 9:30 AM start time is competitive. But honestly, you're better off walking one minute over to Winchester Nails, which is actually my regular spot. I'll never cheat on them again.

One staff member was apologetic, but another stepped in and insisted I pay full price, clearly annoyed that I even asked for a discount. Only after pushing back did they take 10 dollars off. I paid 105 dollars for a 3.5 hour appointment that was not even fully completed. This place is disorganized, overbooks aggressively, and does not respect customers' time.
