As a DIY nail girlie for the past 10 years, it takes an emergency for me to willingly come to a nail salon. I was leaving for Paris in 5 hours and 2 of my nails chipped! After my experience here I don't think I'll be a DIY nail girlie any longer. I got a builder + gel manicure done by Brian and I am in love!!! I originally was going for just a gel manicure but decided last minute I wanted durable nails for my trip. I didn't give Brian much direction as for color, I just told him that I wanted something "classy for Paris" and he delivered! He added crystal chrome on top of a beautiful pale pink and it's the most perfect combo. He really took his time and was meticulous in ensuring everything was perfect. While this was by far the most expensive manicure I've ever had ($115 including tip) I honestly think it was well worth it because they came out perfect! I tend to only write reviews when the place is either exceptional or just down right not worth the money. Unfortunately, this is review is for the latter. I usually don't go to chain salons like this but desperately needed an appt while my normal nail tech is out on maternity leave and figured this would be a good option given all the great reviews. I got my nails done just under 2 weeks ago and normally at this point, my nails have grown out but the polish is typically still in good condition. However, after coming here, the polish lifted so much I just peeled it all off. I know it's not ideal to peel off gel, but I had no choice when it was lifting and getting stuck in my hair. It obviously left my nail beds in poor condition too. After peeling the polish on my pinky nail, you can even see that the polish underneath wasn't ever fully dried. After paying $65 for a simple gel removal and gel polish, I can't say it was worth it at all. Also, my appt was at 9am right at opening and the place was packed. Good for their business I'm sure, but it seems they only care about quantity and getting as much people in, as opposed to focusing on the quality of their services. If you need something quick and don't care about your nails lasting long or the health/quality of your nails, then come here. Otherwise, I'm very disappointed and will not be back. read more

LOVE IT. I had the absolute BEST experience here with Tina and Kim. Tina is an absolute delight. She is so charming, funny, likable, and she does such a great job with the massage + prep. I highly appreciated her kindness and great service she provided. To top it all off, my pedicure came out SO PERFECT *heart eyes* and it is sooo beautifully done. Kim painted my French style pedicure with a tiny gold glitter lining trim, love that it was beautifully done. My entire experience here was luxurious, so relaxing, and overall lovely in every way. Tina even helped me take cute fresh pedicure photos after my service, how very sweet/thoughtful of her. :) I was lucky enough to score a pedicure by calling an hour ahead, yay me! lol. (It's definitely best practice to book a few days ahead of time *whoops*.) The salon itself is absolutely pristine and beautifully decorated. You can definitely tell that the owners put a lot of love and care into their salon decor. Everything looks absolutely lovely. The Kitchen Nail Bar salon itself provides such a luxurious, lovely, and relaxing experience. This is hands down the BEST pedicure experience I've ever had and I have literally tried TONS of places so that's saying a lot. lol. (However I will say it's a bit pricey but if price doesn't matter to you, it's so worth it) lol. I also really like how they have hot tea and other beverages available during the service. I enjoyed a nice green tea that helped me relax even more. :) Side note: the parking lot here is very busy and packed. However finding parking is definitely doable. Just be careful in the parking lot because cars don't seem too mindful of pedestrians. read more

Nail tech kept changing prices and was giving attitude. The receptionist and decor was very nice and has a beverage center but service a big 0 zero. I called a few days in advance, and our party was seated about 10 minutes after our scheduled time, which was understandable since the salon was quite busy. I do think the experience can vary depending on the nail technician. I had Taylor for my manicure and Tiffany for my pedicure. They were both friendly, but unfortunately lacked attention to detail. While my nails looked fine from a distance, I noticed thick, uneven layers and some sharp, rough edges after leaving the salon. Based on this experience, I don't plan to return. It is all about Lynn 3! I had a very complex problem with my toe. My big toe already got budged up from my playing of sports and so it was a fake nail on top and I did the same thing after playing tennis. I thought I needed to go to the emergency room and see like a podiatrist, but Lynn 3 really handled my needs with the utmost care. She made sure the whole process was sanitary, gentle, pleasant. She makes a mean ginger tea. Also I was very impressed with the Care. I received that kitchen nail bar. I didn't feel hurried at all. I got a great massage too! Great welcome even though I keep goin in as a walk-in. I've never waited pretty than 20 minutes and I've gone in in the evenings and weekends. They have complimentary tea and water while you wait. I only have experience with Sammie and Taylor. Both ladies are very professional and make me feel comfortable about asking for changes and fixes while they're doing my nails and considering all the pictures I show them. Shout out to Sammie for going back and forth all over the establishment to male sure she got the colors right for my pride nails (picture with rainbow nails). I have never found such a solid nail tech in the 20 years I've been getting my nails done. Every time I've found someone I liked, they stopped caring after a few visits and the quality declined, but not Joyce. She always brings her a-game. Don't believe me? Check the photos for yourself! I love her so much I drive an hour every other week for my appointments. Updating review. I got my nails done last Friday & they didn't last me a week :( Other gel manicures have always lasted me longer. Sad to say I won't be returning. I have to say I relate to the other recent review. My gel nails were lifting & now my actual nails are damaged. Long over due review but I absolutely love this place! I only ever get pedicures here and I've been coming here for years. The past year I've only gone to Kim and I love her. She is so gentle, meticulous, and just the best at what she does. I love how kind she is and always makes sure you are satisfied!! She always asks about my mom whenever I see her, because I brought my mom with me once. I also love how I never have to tell Kim what color I want for my nails. She just knows which color I like and I love that she remembered that. Small details like that make such a big difference and is the reason I will always come back! read more

I've been going to kitchen nail bars for years now. Mostly the Santana row location. I came to the one on Coleman last week after work. I made an appointment over the phone and was seated almost right away. I'm not extravagant when it comes to my nails. Mostly because of my job. I got a French tip gel pedicure and a gel manicure with a clear coat (see pic). I was asked what service package I wanted and I chose the most basic ones. Now imagine my surprise when I go to the ATM and pull out $100 for them to tell me the total price is $118! Somehow my pedicure cost $77 and my manicure $47 for a total of $124. They give a 5% discount if you pay cash. I didn't get a fancy scrub, massage, hot stone or anything so I'm not sure how a French tip gel pedicure costs $77. I think they charged me for a more expensive package. Either that or they've upped their prices by A LOT. I didn't argue I was too tired from work but I'm definitely not coming back. Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because it came out how I wanted so at least there's that. read more

I get my nails done pretty regularly, and I usually don't mind seeing a different tech because everyone at Kitten Nail Bar does a good job, but these two have officially won me over. Tanya is incredible with nail designs. I've brought her some ideas that weren't exactly simple, and she always dies a great job. Every set turns out even better than I expected, and she absolutely N it every time. (Sorry...I had to ) Lisa gives the best pedicures. She's so gentle and always checks in to make sure you're comfortable. I've had pedicures in the past where the tech was a little rough or even nicked me, so I really appreciate how careful and thoughtful she is. The only good things about this place was that I was able to make a reservation online and that they had free WiFi. That's about it. If you are going to charge these prices, stop rushing people through the whole process. I felt like this was a cattle call. Also, I didn't get a hand massage nor did they moisturize my hands. My mani/pedi lasted all of a week before chipping. To top this all off, when I was leaving the salon, there was an acrylic nail (not mine!) stuck to the bottom of my flip flop.
