Horrible service all the way around! This is what 3 days and $55.00 will get you at Kitchen Nail bar Coleman
Lisset M.

Unfortunately we were rushed as first timers we viewed their reviews and were hoping for that experience as well. This felt like a quantity over quality shop and won't be returning that's for sure! Nail tech kept changing prices and was giving attitude. The receptionist and decor was very nice and has a beverage center but service a big 0 zero. The tech lady did not fur fill the manicure and did not cut cuticles correctly and the "sun" she so called drew for an additional $10.00 have now chipped away(it's only been 3 days) what type of salon are you guys running here ???? Money hungry much.

Great welcome even though I keep goin in as a walk-in. I've never waited pretty than 20 minutes and I've gone in in the evenings and weekends. They have complimentary tea and water while you wait. I only have experience with Sammie and Taylor. Both ladies are very professional and make me feel comfortable about asking for changes and fixes while they're doing my nails and considering all the pictures I show them. Shout out to Sammie for going back and forth all over the establishment to male sure she got the colors right for my pride nails (picture with rainbow nails). Shout out to Taylor for helping my vision come to life for my Mexico World Cup nails (picture with the soccer tip, cactus, and red and green). I can't wait to go back with a new design idea

Ok, listen, I'm going to let you know about the AMAZING, HILARIOUS, TALENTED nail artist that is Joyce. She is not only sweet, but insanely talented. I have never found such a solid nail tech in the 20 years I've been getting my nails done. Every time I've found someone I liked, they stopped caring after a few visits and the quality declined, but not Joyce. She always brings her a-game. Don't believe me? Check the photos for yourself! I love her so much I drive an hour every other week for my appointments. Now, I want you all to go to Joyce, but please know that Joyce and I are besties, and our date night is typically Friday afternoons or evenings. Thank you for understanding. Lol thank you Joyce!!!

I have come to this salon many times. They are fast and friendly. Today Kim did my nails and she was so detail oriented and efficient. Great experience!

Gel manicure clear coat

I've been going to kitchen nail bars for years now. Mostly the Santana row location. I came to the one on Coleman last week after work. I made an appointment over the phone and was seated almost right away. I'm not extravagant when it comes to my nails. Mostly because of my job. I got a French tip gel pedicure and a gel manicure with a clear coat (see pic). I was asked what service package I wanted and I chose the most basic ones. Now imagine my surprise when I go to the ATM and pull out $100 for them to tell me the total price is $118! Somehow my pedicure cost $77 and my manicure $47 for a total of $124. They give a 5% discount if you pay cash. I didn't get a fancy scrub, massage, hot stone or anything so I'm not sure how a French tip gel pedicure costs $77. I think they charged me for a more expensive package. Either that or they've upped their prices by A LOT. I didn't argue I was too tired from work but I'm definitely not coming back. Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because it came out how I wanted so at least there's that.

My Husband and I enjoyed the revitalize and cherish pedicures today. Jodie and Aimee did a wonderful job, paid close attention to detail, and overall left us feeling very relaxed. Joyce did a gel builder refill for me today as well. She always does an amazing job and I get lots of compliments on how clean and natural my nails look when she's done. We've been coming to this location for a few years now with no pls to change salons anytime soon. Keep up the great work Kitchen Nail Bar!

I wanted a manicure inspired by the Pokémon, Sylveon, and Joyce knocked it out of the park. Prettiest manicure of my life!

It was a nice experience!!!!

Hi Em G, Yes we do have AC. We look forward to seeing you soon.…

Did you stop doing OPI gel I see reviews from a week ago with people doing OPI gel?

Hi Brown, We have few OPI colors and many other exciting colors from Gelixir, Royal, Apres...…

Yes she sure does! I had my nails done with Joyce 2 days ago. If she is booked or not working on a certain day, her name may not show up. You can always call to book with her.

Does anyone know if Vee still works here?

She has her own salon now . Orange Nail Bar. Highly recommend

Do they pay their employees a fair and livable wage? Or are nail techs considered independent contractors?

No refund, no solution, and deeply unprofessional behavior. *~~ Service Overview & Pricing I booked a same-day appointment that the owner accepted. I requested: * #108 Gelixir purple gel polish + acrylic fill manicure * #108 Gelixir purple regular polish + basic pedicure The owner upsold heavily throughout. I even let her do extra work on my pinkies to build rapport. Total: $81 Tip: $15 (tipped before the service was completed) She opened the shop ~5 min late despite accepting my 9:30 AM appointment, & complained aloud, setting the tone for our session. *~~ Where Everything Went Wrong 1. First Mistake Toe spacers were applied after polishing but before the paint was dry, immediately smudging the big toe. 2. Second Attempt They only partially removed the polish to "fix" it. Because the initial coats weren't fully removed, the application was thick and uneven. After 40 minutes of "drying," the nail dented and the texture caught the lip of my shoe, scratching again. I told them I still had time if they wanted to properly redo it. 3. Third Attempt A kind staff member accidentally damaged the other big toe while helping me into disposable sandals. At this point, my toes had been ruined three separate times--all due to staff actions. *~~ The Owner's Response When I asked if they could use gel on the big toes (since the mistakes were theirs), the owner refused and claimed: 1. The colors "wouldn't match." 2. Gel and regular polish can't match--despite the Gelixir palette offering both and my manicure proving otherwise. 3. That because I chose regular polish, the outcome was my fault. She repeated this many times. 4. That regular polish takes "hours to dry in cold weather," something she never mentioned and is simply not true. By then I had been there from 9:30 AM to 12:20 PM, and the pedicure was the first service we started. *~~ Escalation & Unprofessional Conduct When I calmly asked for a reasonable fix (or at least accountability for my time), the owner became rude, defensive, and dismissive. She offered: * No refund * No partial refund * No refund of my tip * No solution She repeatedly told me I could "leave if I didn't like it" while her staff was trying to help me with bare toes. Instead of accountability, she lectured me with constant "you" statements and kept shifting blame. I stayed polite and attempted to de-escalate, but she kept escalating. My friend who was with me also felt the owner was short, judgmental, and rude from the beginning. As a Filipina, I'm familiar with cultural bluntness--this wasn't bluntness. This was aggressiveness and unprofessionalism. *~~ Service Quality & Safety Concerns * They used a pumice scrubber on my inner ankle bone, leaving raw skin and micro-cuts. * The owner drilled harshly on the sides and cuticle area during my fill, causing irritation and cuts. When I said "ow," she told me I "needed lotion." (I regularly moisturize; the issue was her technique.) * During upselling for designs/gems, she asked about two fingers. When I agreed, she worked on the wrong fingers, insisted I said "all," and did the same thing to my friend. * Despite her picking my friend's shade, she acted annoyed when we asked to see it on one toe. Odd behavior throughout--there's truly no winning with her. *~~ Final Thoughts Based on quality alone, this could have been a 2-star experience. But the owner's behavior makes it a 0-star experience. Earlier, she told me her business struggles with retention but has some regulars. Now I understand why. The recurring reviews about poor customer service suddenly make complete sense. Even her responses to negative reviews show the same pattern--confrontational, defensive, and unwilling to take responsibility. It's impossible to relax when the owner is hostile, unaccountable, and provides no customer care. This was my first time going (only to accommodate my friend's work schedule) because in theory the 9:30 AM start time is competitive. But honestly, you're better off walking one minute over to Winchester Nails, which is actually my regular spot. I'll never cheat on them again.

While I was here, an elderly lady was getting out of the car with the assistance of a man with her and one of the ladies here went out to help her get up onto the curb then into the salon and into the pedicure chair. There was only one nail tech working, another customer already waiting, and no one even bothered to check my appointment. I was just asked what I wanted and told to sit down. That alone told me everything. I waited about 15 minutes before being seen. The pedicure itself was fine, but while I was sitting there, more and more people kept coming in even though existing clients were not finished. It was obvious they were overbooking. After my pedicure, which was not even completed since my toes were not painted yet, I was told to wait another 25 minutes. At that point it was already close to noon. I left briefly to grab coffee and came back at 12:35 PM. They still were not ready. I ended up waiting about an hour, not the 25 minutes I was told. My 10:30 AM appointment did not end until 2:00 PM. That is 3.5 hours. I even told them to skip painting my nails just so I could leave sooner, and it still took that long. At checkout, I said I would not be paying full price due to the excessive wait. One staff member was apologetic, but another stepped in and insisted I pay full price, clearly annoyed that I even asked for a discount. Only after pushing back did they take 10 dollars off. I paid 105 dollars for a 3.5 hour appointment that was not even fully completed. This place is disorganized, overbooks aggressively, and does not respect customers' time. A 10 dollar discount for this experience is honestly insulting. Would not come back. Would not recommend.

The salon is a long, narrow space with updated, trendy, and clean decor that creates a very relaxed vibe. I chose a regular manicure and the Coco Passion Pedicure. The manicure was basic. My nails were shaped alright, though I honestly think they looked a bit better before the service. The pedicure was average. One of my favorite parts of getting a pedicure is the massage chair. This one was comfortable, except for the attached head and neck pillow. It sat at an uncomfortable position for my height. I could not adjust it myself, but to be fair, I did not ask the staff for assistance. The staff members were courteous throughout my visit. Overall, it was an average experience. For logistics, I found parking easily on a nearby side street. This spot would be great for a friends' meetup, especially since you can grab drinks and lunch afterward at the restaurants just a few doors down.
