Rarely if ever do I almost weep over a pancacke. I have travelled the world and describe myself as an expert on all things related to blueberries and cranberries. The two that came with my meal were so etherial I ordered a third. I ordered the Town Stretch which by itself was basic eggs, potatoes and two pieces of ham. Square meal. If I were to find a complaint: the potatoes lacked all seasoning and thus the oil w/ which they were roasted was just the only source of flavor. No salt. No onions, garlic, sage, rosemary- nothing. Thank God Tabasco was on the table. Just as soon as I was about to grade this place a B overall (A for service), I bit into my bluberry pancake and everything else bad in the world vanished away as though I had an LSD trip while savoring the glory my mouth was quivering with. Added bonus: the host who greeted and seated me is as cute as they come. The Eggs Benedict is the best in the area (including Bozeman). I really liked my wife's blueberry pancakes. Coffee is back to free refills. We really enjoyed our breakfast. This little diner in Livingston is such a cute gem. Fresh as if it's new, with cleanliness at the forefront and some of the friendliest, most welcoming staff I've encountered in a while. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. Egg, sausage, cheese on an English Muffin with some fruit on the side...and such a delicious buttermilk style chocolate chip pancake on the side. Of course I sampled my husband's fried potatoes which were so herby and fresh, you could tell it was freshly prepared (no frozen taters here). Small place with some tables outside too. Always enjoy Pinky's. Don't get there often, maybe once a year but the wait and food are worth it. Not much of a wait on October 14th which is shoulder season. As a customer know that even if there are empty tables you may not be seated right away as the kitchen and waitstaff want to provide a great experience and don't want long waits after you've ordered. We stopped here on our first morning (in search of coffee, our Airbnb didn't have any ) and what we found was not only GREAT coffee - grind the beans as they make it, but also the best breakfast we've had in a long time! Throughout our stay we had: Egg Florentine, blueberry Belgian waffle, the Bird Float Breakfast and biscuits and gravy. Everything was delicious, the service was attentive and friendly, and the whole experience was positive. The menu is full of down home classics done to perfection like the "Bird Float Breakfast" with eggs, potatoes, toast, bacon, ham or sausage for $9. My husband said it was out of this world, he topped of his last piece of toast with the homemade strawberry jam on the table & states it was like "breakfast's dessert". Our daughter had the 1/2 order of coconut French toast $5, with sides of scrambled eggs and bacon $3 each. We didn't hear a peep from her until all plates were empty. I had the Huevos Rancheros $8, added the Carnitas for $2 (a great decision). My egg was a perfect over medium, which is hard to come by these days; also I would swear they were farm fresh. Corn tortillas & homemade green chili sauce, definitely homemade black beans... I was stuffed & in heaven by the time we left. Coffee was great, bold & nutty flavor, never an empty cup. Our waitress Emily, the only one in the place was attentive & on the ball as well as extremely friendly even though she was equally busy. I've been to Pinky's before and this last visit I was disappointed. I got there a full hour before closing. I was greeted by one employee with a smile and the other, a large young man, not so much. I was guided to the counter for a seat. The the large young continued to stare at his phone while his girth managed to occupy most of the counter. My stare finally made him vacant his inappropriate occupancy. I ordered and got coffee. The normal young man was a hustler who acted with some service etiquette was making sure I had coffee and got my order. More people arrived. The large one whispered to the other" if people keep coming in we'll never leave on time". I can't imagine where he needed to be. Clearly not CrossFit class. So my order arrived. The only thing edible was the toast. The eggs scrambled eggs were overdone, the potatoes were burned and not edible. For $14 it was terrible. I've had good food here in the past, today the food was terrible. I have to think service attitude has something to do with it. read more

All I can say is WOW. Took a few minutes to get in as it was very busy but it was way worth it. Had the Little Piggy(? ham, sausage, bacon?) omelette with extra cheddar which was huge and packed full with real cheddar and the country potatoes with super creamy gravy. Well I was looking forward to eating here and had high hopes but it was pretty bad. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and the coconut French toast with homemade strawberry syrup. The gravy was decent, needed some salt but those biscuits were horrible. Hard and bitter with more of a scone texture. Tasted like maybe it was day old as well. I didn't even eat my half. They may have used too much baking powder in an effort to make fluffy biscuits but the result was dense, hard and crumbly. Now the French toast was not French toast at all but sandwich bread with coconut smashed into it. It didn't even seem like they battered it in egg. The pros were the strawberry jam and syrup, the coffee and the service. It's a darling place but the food needs help. read more

Our favorite place for breakfast/brunch! My mom and I come here as a special treat after appointments and are always warmly welcomed by the staff. Liam is an excellent server and is especially conscious of giving mom extra help getting to the table and into her chair. The service is spot on, the food is consistent and excellent. Stopped here for breakfast since our hotel that was supposed to include breakfast had nothing. Ordered the eggs Benedict...I never send food back, but this was inedible. The hollandaise tasted like dish water and was almost the same consistency. Potatoes had good flavor but were cold. I watched the waiter pass out dishes with his thumbs in the food. The replacement omelet was ok but it would have been nice to be given clean utensils since I had to wipe the awful sauce off the fork. read more

Great small place for breakfast will make it back for lunch some day I am sure. The waitress was the only one and she sure was busy. Every time a table opened someone sat down. It was late Friday morning so probably tourists coming for the week. Food was so good. Eggs scrambled perfectly, generous amounts of avocado, spicy bits of chorizo and the right amount of cheese.
