The place overall felt very dirty and old and maybe slightly above a fast food place. My daughter really wanted to come here for the pink and the Cadillacs, that's all it had going for it. The host and waitress were indifferent. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks or anything else, which may have been a good thing since my tacos were extremely salty and my drink didn't taste like it had alcohol. In fact, I asked the waitress if it had alcohol in it, to which she replied yes and scurried on her way. Mind you, I'm a lightweight so for me to not taste alcohol is saying something. I didn't even finish half the drink. We went to Koko's next door for a drink and this was much better, service was better too. I would NOT recommend Pinky's. read more

So here's the skinny in this place, the location is great right on the beach with a nice view of the ocean from the outdoor dining area. They were a bit busy but it felt like they were fairly understaffed. It took awhile for our waitress to get our drinks and food order but I do not fault her one bit. She was working super hard running around to multiple tables outside I think they just didn't have enough workers. Great ambience on the beach. We arrived late and chose to sit outside. Our waitress was kind and knowledgeable and was able to help with menu options for food allergies. It took quite awhile for our food to arrive and outside lighting wasn't operating so we had to eat in dark conditions. Food was ok. I ordered Mahi Tacos and cilantro lime slaw. Tacos was soaked in an aioli sauce so while fish was warm it was soggy. Slaw had a fresh cleansing taste that was enjoyable. I would go back but it wasn't my favorite meal while visiting. read more

Wow the place is fun! My husband and I wanted a fun date night so we decided to check this place out. I was able to get a reservation outside the day before for 630pm on a Saturday. We got sat right away, and there even was a cute reserved sign. There was a lot going on here tonight, it was a full moon party with live music. You can also ask to sit at the pink cars but those are inside. I requested an ocean view table as close to the water as possible, so that's what we got! The vibe is really fun here, the waitress came over right away. I ordered a Pinot grigio. For food I got the fish and chips, it was 2 pieces of cod and some fries. My only complaint there is that I wish there was more cod. The fries were well seasoned and the tarter sauce was good also. My husband got the shrimp and grits, he thought it was good just very rich and filling. Maybe a bit too much sauce. He wanted to get dessert , but the shrimp and grits was too rich. The waitress also gave us locals discount because we are from the area. Also there is a bar where you can hang out and walk on the beach if you want. Pro tip to get to the restaurant you have to walk through the Tides hotel and it's on the right. There is a parking lot to the right for 10$ a day and you can even walk to the pier. Only disappointing thing was the cleanliness of the bathroom. Do not go in there! Otherwise we will be back! read more

Pinky's has replaced what was previously known as Blu. And true to its name- everything is pink and looks like it is straight out of Miami. This bright atmosphere is a stark contrast to the rest of the hotel, Tides and to be honest, feels a bit out of place. A couple of friends and I popped in for a quick cocktail and some of their fries. Their fries remind me distinctly of Arby's seasoned curly fries. The drinks (we got the Hu-Go Girl and Let's Flamingle) were really good and I can appreciate that they were $12 and not $16. I'd be interested to come back and try their food. Though that too looks like they're trying to do too much- tacos, pizza, sandwiches, steak- pick something. I wish the menu was more specific. I've never been a fan of a menu that tries to do it all because in my experience it's never done well. We were able to get a table outside on NYE. There were heaters which was nice as it was chilly that evening. Some tables had fire pits which would have been very enjoyable. The indoor seating, loved the pink car booths, very photo worthy! Overall, the indoor and outdoor space was very large. The bar area had tables as well as a DJ performing and people out on the dance floor. I did see from the distance some pinball machines, very neat. The staff were very sociable. The menu had some NYE cocktail options which had some fun pink glitter in them to add to the pink vibe. The menu had a good variety of land and sea options to chose from. Pinky's on the Beach replaced the formerly Blue as part of Tides hotel. My first visit since the rebranding. To say the least, utterly underwhelmed is putting it mildly. The food was subpar and a joke for a beachfront restaurant boasting access to fresh seafood. The blue crab dip was a disgusting mess. Could have bought a better version at Walmart. Good luck trying to taste crab in that. Cobb salad with blackened salmon added was tolerable, but nothing to brag about. Also, the whole place was so perfumed it made me sick. First thought it was the hostess, but no, the whole place reeked. As someone with allergies, a bad situation. Also be aware of a "technical fee" that will show up on your bill, aka credit card fee before you have even indicated how you will pay (3%). Which is ridiculous being part of the Tides hotel. I was so excited to try Pinky's on Folly and loved the overall vibe! The atmosphere is super fun and totally on-theme, from the pink car tables, games, and a pink pool table. We grabbed drinks at the bar while waiting for an outdoor table, and the 'Let's Flamingle' drink was delicious and perfectly on par with the theme throughout the restaurant. Once we were seated outside, the service our table received unfortunately fell short. Our server brought water to us quickly, but then we didn't have their attention again for over 45 minutes, even as we tried to wave them down. They seemed overwhelmed and as though they were juggling too many tables at once. Service was lacking in other elements, such as asking multiple times for napkins (the wings were quite messy), and it took an additional minute or two until we could finally flag another employee down. It makes sense that, being a new restaurant, they were still getting the swing of things. We were very understanding and appreciative when we were helped. Once we finally ordered, we tried out the Fried Chicken Wings, Coconut Shrimp, and Chips & Trio of Dips appetizers. The queso on the Chips & Trio of Dip was delicious, but our chips were very stale and disappointing. The Coconut Shrimp and Fried Chicken Wings were great and fairly priced. This spot has so much potential, and I am definitely rooting for them! Once they are more settled, I plan on giving them another try in a few months. read more

We went on a Sunday and found seating with no wait. The indoor seating looks fun for kids with the car decorated seats. They also had a Photo Booth which we used, plus a pool table and some pinball. Seems like the kitchen was understaffed on the night we were there. We were told the kitchen was 15 minutes behind when we sat, it was 30 mins before apps arrived. Had the BBQ sandwich, pork was cold, no sauce, cole slaw on top runny. Burger and fries and salad portions were also small with premium pricing for a hotel restaurant/bar. Paying for the location. We got there on a Friday when it opened for lunch. (Valentine weekend) Sat at the bar. Only 3 other people present. 3-5 minutes later we were asked what we wanted. Husband gave his order. Before I could tell the bar tender what I wanted he turned away and made his drink. I had to wait until he got his drink until I ordered. Moving forward we both ordered off the lunch menu and it came out in a timely manner. I had grouper sandwich which was pretty good he had pepperoni pizza. Sonce I was staying at hotel I came down to order one appetizer. the same person who put me on hold and didn't get back to me was standing there doing nothing . Something must have happened with register tape. she went away and then a kangaroo came over to ask me what was going on . We're visiting from out of town and we're excited to try this place as we heard the coconut shrimp was great. We were seated outside, which has great views of the ocean. We ordered our drinks and the coconut shrimp appetizer. One person in our party is gluten free (not by choice) and asked the waitress what is gluten free on the menu. The response was "um, we have salads". Which was a bit disappointing as there seemed to be a few items that could be gluten free in the menu. After we ordered, we waited quite a while for our food. When we finally got our food, we didn't even have silverware to eat with so we asked for it and waited another ten minutes for it. I ordered pinky fries, which didn't come. I asked for the correct fries and an order was out in. They came out about 15 minutes later once I was done with my sandwich. Overall the service was not really great. We weren't really checked in at all. We got our bill and asked to talk to a manager. We waited another 25 minutes and finally just decided to leave. As we were walking out the manager finally came out to talk to us. She was apologetic, but we were severely disappointed. Overall our experience was underwhelming to say the least. Overall we there for almost two hours and only saw our waitress maybe a total of 5 times, which at least two of them were for us asking for things we should have gotten from the start.
