    Best thing about this place!
    Darla R.

The decor is the best thing about this place. The food took forever to come out. And was good-ish. But the service..... Made a mediocre meal turn into the worst meal I've ever had in my entire life. Congratulations Pinkys! Y'all successfully ruined a young girls 21st birthday by the hate and disrespect from our "server". Sincerely, LOCALS

    Peppers appetizer

Pinky's on the Beach has a great, energetic beachfront vibe with its fun pink Cadillac theme. The sweet and mild peppers appetizer had a perfect crunch and seasoning, especially paired with the Thai chili dipping sauce. The Cobb salad was a refreshing twist on the classic, featuring smoky Gouda, fire-roasted corn, and a bright citrus vinaigrette that kept it light. One quick tip if you're heading there: parking nearby can be tight. If you have car seats or heavy beach gear to haul, do yourself a favor and drop off your passengers and equipment at the front before you go look for a spot.

Wow the place is fun! My husband and I wanted a fun date night so we decided to check this place out. I was able to get a reservation outside the day before for 630pm on a Saturday. We got sat right away, and there even was a cute reserved sign. There was a lot going on here tonight, it was a full moon party with live music. You can also ask to sit at the pink cars but those are inside. I requested an ocean view table as close to the water as possible, so that's what we got! The vibe is really fun here, the waitress came over right away. I ordered a Pinot grigio. For food I got the fish and chips, it was 2 pieces of cod and some fries. My only complaint there is that I wish there was more cod. The fries were well seasoned and the tarter sauce was good also. My husband got the shrimp and grits, he thought it was good just very rich and filling. Maybe a bit too much sauce. He wanted to get dessert , but the shrimp and grits was too rich. The waitress also gave us locals discount because we are from the area. Also there is a bar where you can hang out and walk on the beach if you want. Pro tip to get to the restaurant you have to walk through the Tides hotel and it's on the right. There is a parking lot to the right for 10$ a day and you can even walk to the pier. Only disappointing thing was the cleanliness of the bathroom. Do not go in there! Otherwise we will be back!

Pinky's has replaced what was previously known as Blu. And true to its name- everything is pink and looks like it is straight out of Miami. This bright atmosphere is a stark contrast to the rest of the hotel, Tides and to be honest, feels a bit out of place. A couple of friends and I popped in for a quick cocktail and some of their fries. Their fries remind me distinctly of Arby's seasoned curly fries. The drinks (we got the Hu-Go Girl and Let's Flamingle) were really good and I can appreciate that they were $12 and not $16. I'd be interested to come back and try their food. Though that too looks like they're trying to do too much- tacos, pizza, sandwiches, steak- pick something. I wish the menu was more specific. I've never been a fan of a menu that tries to do it all because in my experience it's never done well. I'll update my review once I have tried a couple of things to keep you in the loop on the quality. Their service was ordinary, nothing outstanding or anything special to comment on.

Amazing view, service is a little slow, but the food was good. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the atmosphere

We were able to get a table outside on NYE. There were heaters which was nice as it was chilly that evening. Some tables had fire pits which would have been very enjoyable. The indoor seating, loved the pink car booths, very photo worthy! Overall, the indoor and outdoor space was very large. The bar area had tables as well as a DJ performing and people out on the dance floor. I did see from the distance some pinball machines, very neat. The staff were very sociable. The menu had some NYE cocktail options which had some fun pink glitter in them to add to the pink vibe. The menu had a good variety of land and sea options to chose from. Overall, a very cool spot to check out on the beach if you are on Folly.

A very dope spot to visit. I know this place be booming during the summer months. Anywho, Britney took great care of our group. We were there celebrating a coworkers birthday. The food was amazing, but the sweet tea wasn't hitting for me. They have the cutest car booths which are great for photos. Miss Kimberly did not hesitate to help us with our group photo or the tiktok we did! Really nice place, even nicer staff. If you haven't been, you're missing out!

The best beach bar ever. Pinky's has great food, the island salad, the grouper sandwich and the shrimp tacos a must! Amazing food seriously! The cocktails are so fun and tasty. The service is incredible, the vibe is so fun, and the live music is endless! Thanks for the fun Weekend!

This is such a cute place. They have booths that looks like pink cars. The food was delicious and the service was great. You do have to pay to park on the street. I highly recommend.

I liked the frozen Apperal spritz. The vibe is very pretty and it's in a great location. Unfortunately, some of the staff was not very friendly. I asked about the signature drink and I was just told "it's pink." The second staff member was incredibly helpful though, and she even let me try a sample. Prices are very comparable to the area

I was so excited to try Pinky's on Folly and loved the overall vibe! The atmosphere is super fun and totally on-theme, from the pink car tables, games, and a pink pool table. We grabbed drinks at the bar while waiting for an outdoor table, and the 'Let's Flamingle' drink was delicious and perfectly on par with the theme throughout the restaurant. Once we were seated outside, the service our table received unfortunately fell short. Our server brought water to us quickly, but then we didn't have their attention again for over 45 minutes, even as we tried to wave them down. They seemed overwhelmed and as though they were juggling too many tables at once. Service was lacking in other elements, such as asking multiple times for napkins (the wings were quite messy), and it took an additional minute or two until we could finally flag another employee down. It makes sense that, being a new restaurant, they were still getting the swing of things. We were very understanding and appreciative when we were helped. Once we finally ordered, we tried out the Fried Chicken Wings, Coconut Shrimp, and Chips & Trio of Dips appetizers. The queso on the Chips & Trio of Dip was delicious, but our chips were very stale and disappointing. The Coconut Shrimp and Fried Chicken Wings were great and fairly priced. This spot has so much potential, and I am definitely rooting for them! Once they are more settled, I plan on giving them another try in a few months.

However, the fries. OMG! They're slightly larger than shoestring, so they're the perfect size, imho. Crispy, yet thick enough to where they don't get cold right away. They also had some kind of herb on them that made them stand out. I've also gotten the Greek side salad there before and it was also outstanding...perfectly dressed with yummy feta and Kalamata olives. Finally, I've also gotten the grilled ham and cheese sandwich there during a late night visit. Basic, but perfectly executed and absolutely delicious. For a bar that's probably better known as a great music venue, this place has some serious chops when it comes to bar food. Am so glad I decided to check it out!

It's a seat yourself kind of place and with the World Cup going on, a super fun vibe, the place was about half full. The hubs and I got fish and chips and the fish was super good. The fries were cold when we got them, which was a bummer. Our SIL had to go ask for her drink after like 20 minutes, the other drinks had come so I think our server just forgot. Our SIL and brother shared the chicken parm and it was huge, plenty to share and they both said it was really good. We had to go ask again about the side of fries my 6 year old ordered because it didn't come out either, but when we finally got them nice and hot, I was bummed we had gotten the cold ones...The hot ones were yum! My other niece got chicken fingers and it's a big plate! She liked those too. We all agreed that the food was really good, better than we expected for a bar and the service was disappointing. It would've been different if it felt like she was really hustling and just had too many tables, but it was way more of a "meh..." kind of vibe. Overall, I would give this place a shot, really good food and maybe the service just had an off night.

They had that sepia-toned, barefoot-in-the-sand charm that makes you nostalgic for a time you probably never lived through. Clever. Fun. Conversation starters. The food came out hot and well prepared--no excuses, no shortcuts, no "it's beach food, what did you expect?" nonsense. Just solid plates done right. I love how they fire the shrimp at the last minute, so they don't sit in a heated soup for hours on end, becoming rubber bands. Next, I got the scallops with the saffron risotto. Yum! Girlfriend got the a snapper dish on a butter bean medley. She doesn't like Lima beans (which these actually appeared to be), so she ate around them, but she loved the fish! Service - 5 stars Our waiter was a nice gentleman named Tony. He was very friendly and helpful and timely with his service. Did a good job of helping my girlfriend navigate the wine menu (she's quite picky). They've actually got some aged white wines (Sauvignon blancs) that are quite different than what she normally drinks (she likes New Zealand varieties), so he steered her clear of them. Ambiance - 5 stars I found the interior of the place to be very inviting. Tall ceilings and modern architecture. A little on the loud side (we had a family with young kids nearby), but not bad. They actually have sound absorbing panels mounted on the ceiling, so you can tell they've given this element some thought. Finally, our table had a nice view of the kitchen and, as an avid personal chef, I really appreciate that aspect. Only odd thing (to me, at least) was that they sat us at a table right away (we arrived right at 5pm, which was when they opened), but told us that the bar seating was by reservation only. Odd...but maybe be the Kentucky Derby was coming on later that evening? In summary, I highly recommend this place and we will certainly be coming back!

We started with the Royal Tern oysters, and they absolutely stole the show. Fresh, briny, and perfectly prepared, they were easily one of the best things we ordered all night. If you're visiting for the first time, don't skip them. For our entrees, my husband ordered the whole fish with jalapeño cheddar rice and asparagus. The fish was cooked beautifully and packed with flavor, while the rice added a unique twist to the dish. I went with the swordfish and étouffée, and it was outstanding. The swordfish was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, while the étouffée added richness without overpowering the fish. It was one of those meals where you find yourself thinking about it long after you've left. We finished with the angel food funfetti cake topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. While it was a fun way to end the meal, it didn't quite live up to the incredible seafood and felt a little forgettable compared to everything else. Service was adequate but not particularly memorable, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough, though it lacked some of the warmth and energy we expected. That said, the food alone is reason enough to visit. Between the oysters and the swordfish, Royal Tern proved why it's such a popular seafood destination.

Had a slight kick to it (spice wise) but very little evidence of actual seafood in it. After much debate about what to get for a main course (and after seeing what other patrons got at the bar where I sat), I decided to get the Moroccan salad with salmon. Again...it was good...not great. I cook way better salmon at home on a cedar plank over real charcoal, so maybe I'm being unfair here? I dunno. The salad itself was heavy on arugula, which I'm not a huge fan of. Which is odd, because I love the flavor of pepper! Anyway, the menu made it sound like it was more fennel-oriented, so... Ended up capping off the meal with the blackberry key lime pie. It was quite tasty. Not the best key lime pie I've ever had, but good. As to the atmosphere, it's nice. My girlfriend has actually convinced me several times that we shouldn't come here because we weren't dressed well enough. Well, let me just say: I saw several guys here wearing jeans, fishing shirts, and ball caps and they fit right in. So: not stuffy at all! Bottom line, it's a good, not great place to grab a meal.
