These doors are showstoppers. They are SUPER solid and very well made. I purchased an AIR 4 INTERIOR and M AIR 19 (9' double entry doors) for referrence. A visit to their showroom is a MUST so if you can, definitely see them in person so there are no surprises. If you are serious about purchasing ask about their spec & install sheets, unpacking videos, etc. which you should give to your installer. RE: INSTALL - Don't knock Pinky's because finding and installer is hard. Find an installer BEFORE you buy a door and it is NOT the job for a handyman no matter how many doors he says he's done. Talk to sales and get their install info and show it to installers BEFOREHAND. I hired my general contractor and warned him beforehand that this is probably a 3-4 man unload/setup and install is at least a two people. I did have an issue with a partial delivery of the AIR 4 but Pinky's handled it quickly and delivered all the necessary pieces asap for me. I will definitely buy from Pinky's again. read more

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience at Pinky's Iron Doors. I purchased a door approximately three months ago and was assured that my delivery would be scheduled seamlessly as I believed them when I called and spoke to a young lady and she scheduled delivery for December 13th However, when I followed up on Monday week of the delivery regarding the delivery status, I was informed that no delivery had ever been scheduled for me and there were no slots open for delivery, which came as quite a shock. The situation was exacerbated by the customer service I received. When I spoke with Nico, I attempted to explain the misunderstanding and clarify my situation, but he cut me off and was noticeably rude. It felt as though my concerns were not being taken seriously, and I was not given a chance to fully explain my side of the story, which only added to my frustration. To make matters worse, I requested to speak with Dion, owner of the company, in hopes that he could assist me in resolving the issue. "Not knowing Nico is his Brother"Unfortunately, my experience with him was even more disappointing. He claimed to had listened to the recording of my conversation with Nicos in the 2 minutes that I was on hold but stood firm in his belief that he did not accept rudeness from customers. Then he decided to cancel my order after all the wait I said that if he cancel my order it would be breach of contract, he took that as a threat ..and in any way did I threaten him or anyone. He gave me three choices Refund, pick up door from his building or wait till after the Holidays to get delivery. Then Nicos sends me an email Disclaimer form to sign. Before any information can be giving to me the the door had been paid in full. I took it upon my self to apologize if I was rude in any way, because I had already scheduled contractor to install door but Dion even used PROFANITY to my face that really shocked me for being the owner. seemingly dismissing my experience altogether. I expected a higher level of customer-centric service, especially from a business owner who should prioritize customer satisfaction. Overall, my experience with Pinky's Iron Doors has been far from satisfactory. He doesn't even deserve ONE star I had high hopes for the quality of the product and customer service when I made my purchase, but the lack of communication, disregard for my concerns, and the rude behavior from staff have left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I sincerely hope that the company takes steps to improve their customer service in the future, as it's essential for any business to treat its clients with respect and understanding. We ordered a new front door from pinkys because my wife really wanted a Dutch style door. We got quotes from 2 other companies, one for a wood door that we would need to paint ourselves and the other for a fiberglass. Both were custom orders due to the size and therefore $6000-9000. Pinkies was suggested by our friends and we took a chance because our size was in stock and not a custom door. These things are amazing: solid, heavy (500 lbs), the finish was perfect. They were very helpful when I called to check on shipping time and ask about a couple of details on the door. A couple of things- delivery took a few weeks because of a driver shortage, which wasn't bad at all considering more materials shipping is delayed these days. It came very well packaged and therefore no issues with/gouges but I would definitely inspect before install. Make sure you hire someone that has done something like these before. It's an all day install when you factor in patching/ touch up painting. Also ours was the Dutch so it came in 3 pieces (upper/lower/frame). If you get a one piece be prepared to have help unloading this from the delivery truck and make sure the installer knows how heavy they are and has a crew that can accommodate. I also had to use silicone spray for the Dutch latch but after that- works smooth as butter. 2 different neighbors have now purchased from pinky's (both different styles, one was a Getty and the other a arched Dutch) both of those were equally impressive. read more

Just installed these double doors, so impressed with the quality and ease of the installation even though these doors and jamb were over 700 lbs. Had some buddy's come over and help, but it was such a smooth install other than the weight. Put the jamb in and it was level everywhere without shims. Anchored the Jamb (tabs instead of through the jamb which is cool) with heavy duty 1/4" Tapcons (block house). The hinges were already installed on both the jamb and the doors, just a matter of raising the doors and dropping them on the jamb bullet pins. This place is EVERYTHING when you're looking for a door or doors. Shopping for doors is not as easy as one might think and Pinky's makes it even harder because of their incredible selection. There were so many beautiful doors there I really had a hard time choosing one. I visited their showroom twice and loved the welcoming atmosphere. Garrison Hopper was absolutely amazing and patient with me as I tried to figure out which door I wanted. He was very knowledgeable about their inventory and what they had to offer. If you are in the LA area, and in the market for Iron Doors, definitely give these guys a look. They are locally made by hardworking Americans in Vernon, CA, which is one of the few pro-industry, pro-business, pro-manufacturing areas in the LA area. Their designs are great and I wish I could have waited for one of their doors. However, non in-stock doors that aren't already in production take 24 weeks minimum to make. I don't have that kind of time to wait. Communication from their team is good. I had difficulty with my unique situation. I'm out of state but needed them to deliver to a freight forwarder in Compton. HUGE red tape and hassle to get them to waive the tax. You can't even deal with someone there. Its all done online using a 3rd party verification vendor which is asinine because that vendor's web site wasn't working properly. I was considering a door that was in their production queue and it was impossible to get them to hold it. I offered to pay in full for the door while we sorted out the tax, but they refused saying had to be paid in full, and for that, the tax had to be figured out first. I'm guessing when a company is this hard to deal with, there's just too many people in the back office. Like government, that's where the bureaucracy starts - is when there's just too many people, too many policies, and the customer experience is neglected. Pricing is fair at the current pricing which is "20% off". Not sure if that's a regular thing or not. If not, the regular pricing is somewhat high. The doors definitely look awesome. LA has several other Iron Door suppliers. Best to check them all out and go with whatever you like the best at the pricepoint that is the best for you. read more

It has taken me over a year to write this review. I was bullied by this company, and threatened with their lawyers, if we were to write a bad review. I have finally decided it is important to speak up. We ordered a door online and it was picked up and stored by the company who was to install the door. After 2 months of storage , The door arrived completely damaged. The paint was bubbled and the inside of the door was filled with rust. The hinges were also filled with rust. When I contacted the company to explain what was going on, the first thing they asked me was 'How was the door stored?' that is all they wanted to know. I really just wanted to speak to someone. Finally I got the owner on the phone. Apparently if these doors are exposed to any moisture whatsoever they paint bubbles. They apparently have a disclaimer in small print on the pick up paper that was signed. I could not find it. they do not make any effort to help you or warn you that this could happen. They accused me off the bat of storing this door improperly and blaming me without any information as to where the door was before installation. I live in the HIGH DESERT of California, where there is ZERO moisture . The door was stored inside of the door installers facility and within the time that it was picked up to the day it was installed there was ZERO RAIN or MOISTURE in our area. Not a drop. I even checked the weather between those dates in LA and the desert. I have screenshots to prove it. I was mansplained to, and the owner of the company argued with me incessantly on the phone. (btw , my husband and I also were sick with COvid when this was happening) He made no effort to understand the situation, or call my contractor or the door people to find out what could have happened. He spoke down to me and was disrespectful and accusatory. His only solution was for us to send the door back to LA- which is 2.5 hours away and that they would repaint the door. Who was going to pay for that? Delivery 2 ways , flat bed, etc. I obviously was not going to do that and did not have the money to do so - my contractor came up with a plan to repaint the door, and it looks OK. I was so angry on the phone that I told the owner I would be leaving a bad review. That is when I received a threatening email saying they would sue me for defamation. I honestly do not have space for this type of energy in my life, nor do I want to deal with bullies, so it has taken me a really long time to write this. Today I am no longer afraid and you can see by the photos that the product and their delivery packaging is 100% faulty, and I believe it was already rusted from the inside before we received it. The door still has rust inside and it seems to be deteriorating daily. Terrible company with negative 0 customer service. These are pretty doors, but the quality and service are one of the worst I have ever come across in my life. You will see a few other reviews of this company here on Yelp that say the same thing about their customer service. They really do not care about their customer. read more

I really wanted to add steel doors to my new build project in Northern California. I found Pinky's online and was intrigued but could not make it to SoCal to the showroom. I spent MUCH time consulting with my amazing salesperson, Marilyn. We explored many options for interior and exterior doors - standard and custom. The photos of the doors were so beautiful online, and their service over the phone in the sales process was so thorough and helpful that I felt confident in taking the risk. And, I am so glad that I did! I purchased 8 exterior doors and 4 interior doors, and they are so gorgeous. The order process was easy, and the doors arrived on time. Pricing was much better than the steel door company that was highlighted at the local door/window retailer. My contractor said that he spent some time to ensure waterproofing, and the door installation was pretty straightforward as they arrived constructed in their frames. Emil has been extremely helpful in the after sales process, answering all of my questions and troubleshooting a few things with me. I will attach some pictures. I am thrilled with my Pinky's doors. We were interested in finding a new door for our house and wanted to support a California company. After a lot of research we found Pinky's. The door, as noted in the website, took 12 weeks to finish. We decided to pick it up rather than have it shipped for $600. We got the door and it is very high quality, beautiful and functional. We love being able to open the glass, have a screen already in place and get breezes through. Beauty and functional all in one. We asked Pinky's for recommendations for installers since our 36x96 single door was 430 pounds, you really want someone who knows what they are doing and has a crew who can safely manage the door. We hired David Esparza who was referred to us by Pinky's. He and his crew were on time, pointed out things for us to be aware of and did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend his services, you don't want to go with the cheapest option after investing in this door. As a matter of fact we had someone come by today and comment on how well installed it was and that he had seen so many poorly installed doors and was impressed. I wasn't aware it would be that obvious but was definitely happy to hear that. Some things to know, which I'm sure it is on their site but I didn't catch. The measurements for the door you order includes the door and frame, not just the door which is how we have measured our doors in the past. I would recommend calling them and talking to them about your door size and opening prior to ordering. Our door was a few inches smaller than we thought but that was our mistake. The door is going to be very heavy and you need to plan accordingly. Make sure you read their guide of what the door opening options are, it's not as clear cut as you think with the descriptions. The door has to be cleaned routinely. I decided to go with their cleaning product and am interested to see how that works on the metal. We had some scratches on the door and the installer called to speak to Emil to get us a touch up kit. They shipped it promptly. The only thing I would want to improve about the process are updates on where they are with the door and an ETA on a week they think it would be ready. They are currently working on a system for that but it was not in place at the time of our order. If you are looking for a uniquely beautiful and functional door that will be a showpiece for your house, I would highly recommend Pinky's and David. For what you get I think the price is worth it. read more

Today I had the distinct pleasure of talking with Stephen in the service department of Pinkys Iron Doors. My unbelievably wonderful experience is something I must share. I live in Florida. I hired a locksmith to rekey the locks on my Castle Iron Doors. (see attached photo) These doors were on my home when I purchased it. As my locksmith was removing the tumbler of the lock, it opened (probably due to age) and all the inner parts hit the floor. The manufacturer of the tumbler was Westlock. I watched as the locksmith struggled, for an hour, to put the inner mechanisms back into he tumbler. I told him we must switch to Plan B. My plan was to find a You Tube video that demonstrates how to put a Westlock tumbler back together. Up came a video from Pinkys Iron Doors. We watched as the gentleman showed how to put the tumbler back into the lock but there was nothing showing how to put the pieces back into the tumbler. At of all the days for this to happen, today Florida is dealing with a Cat 4 hurricane Helene. I was not prepared for the prospect of going to sleep with my front door open. I decided to call Pinkys and see if they could walk my locksmith through the steps of getting everything put back in its' place. When I called Pinkys, the person who picked up, after hearing my story, transferred me to Stephen in the service department. There are not enough superlatives and accolades I can give Stephen. He knew I was not a customer. He knew that I had never purchased anything from his store. Despite all that, he did want to help. Today we live in a world where not everyone is as selfless as Stephen is when it comes to helping others. He took 30 minutes of his time to speak to my locksmith, as I emailed him photos of all the inner parts. (see attached photo) By the end of the half hour, he produced the solution that allowed my locksmith to fix what was necessary to get my lock back on my front door. I told him that I was going to leave a google review as a testament to a company that deserves your business. The characters of both the person who answered the phone and Stephen speak volumes about why this company is so highly rated. It was such a pleasure having met you and if I ever need anything for my beautiful castle door, or anyone asks, "where can I get a beautiful castle door" I will gladly refer them to Pinkys.
