They made several visits to the house with no resolution. Their ability to diagnose a problem is awful. Left my tenants without a working refrigerator for over a month. I was finally able to get AHS to assign the case to another vendor. If your warranty/insurance company assigns a case to this company call them immediately to have it reassigned. read more

The first appliance was my washing machine. The second appliance was my refrigerator. Both times he came, he was on time and very professional. I wanted to write about my experience since there were so many negative reviews. I was honestly very worried about Pinnacle being assigned to us through AHS after reading these reviews, but there was no need. They contacted us promptly to let us know when they would be coming over (which was within a few days). They were on time, very courteous, and pin-pointed the problem quickly. He didn't have the parts and had to order them, but contacted me within a few days to let me know the parts had arrived. I purchased a used dryer and wanted to get it checked before I used it so I called Pinnacle Appliance Repair. I was able to get an appointment and have a technician come out within the week. Called in a repair for our dishwasher through AHS and Pinnacle was very responsive in getting us scheduled. The technician had to come out a couple of times to diagnose the problem (the tech has to see the issue, I was satisfied with the diagnostics done). While I wish there was a quicker turnaround time on appointments, I'm positive parts turnaround time from AHS plays a big role in the follow on scheduling. read more

Recommended through American Home Shield to fix my dishwasher odor problem. I did not want Pinnacle to do the job but had no choice. I am very grateful Pinnacle did the job. The technician who worked on my home was very knowledgeable and demonstrated his years of experience. Above all his customer service was top notch. My issue was related to a construction company that failed to reinstall my dishwasher properly after a remodel. After about an hour my dishwasher was returned to service. The problem the construction company could not figure out for months was solved immediately. I was given the proper evidence, pictures and statement, proving the root cause and was able to recover the American Home Shield cost from the construction company. ABOVE ALL - My wife was and is very happy and impressed with Pinnacle. Lesson learned - Pinnacle was great! We use American Home Shield (AHS) for our appliance repairs. Our LG refrigerator started making noise and the ice started melting last week. Pinnacle had fixed our refrigerator a couple of years ago for the same issue, and came out on Wednesday to assess the re-emerged issue. The repair technician said the compressor was going out and asked to use my phone to call LG for a replacement compressor since they had been recalled. When he got off the phone, he said he would have to go back to the office to settle the issue with LG, but the issue would be resolved with either LG or Pinnacle covering the compressor. The compressor stopped cooling that day, and our frozen foods had thawed by the time I was off work. Thankfully, we have a backup refrigerator, but it doesn't have the same cubic feet of space. The next day, we received notice that another company had been assigned this repair. When we called AHS, they stated Pinnacle could not do the repair because they were unable to diagnose the problem. This caused the repair to be unnecessarily delayed, and with a holiday week, this week, that was extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate of them. Their site boasts how they do same-day appliance repairs, but this is certainly not the case in this situation. I understand business, and I understand customer relations. If Pinnacle feels they are not earning enough money with repair requests they receive through AHS, then they should dissolve their contract at the first opportunity, rather than knowingly placing customers in a bad position. Customers are counting on the repair company to make the needed repairs in a timely manner. read more

I would highly recommend that you NOT USE this company. We have an LG washer that was broken and they did not fix the problem after two visits. The second visit the repairman was on the phone with someone the whole time. He left saying he would not bill us b/c the pump he put in the first time (184.02 with taxes) was not the answer. We called back after the 2nd visit to discuss that the problem was not fixed and they won't even return the call. AGAIN, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The worste scheduling process of any company. The woman that does the scheduling called me once going over someone else's repair details and when I told her she was mistaken she told me I was wrong. She eventually realized her error and hung up without apologizing. Later when my parts came she was supposed to call me to schedule but never did. When she finally called back she insisted she called and that I didnt answer. I told her I could send her a screenshot of my call log, she then shouted over me and said she didn't care what I had and she knew she called me. The continuing saga of my malfunctioning Dishwasher continues. Pinnacle Appliance Repair was brought on to fix it after the previous "repair" company threw in the towel after 7 visits to my home. Granted, the saga dates back to August of this year and I don't blame Pinnacle for walking into a situation that a previous company was unable to resolve. With that said, the clock started over when Pinnacle came on board. The technician began his assessment and I was led to believe that we were finally getting on track with actually fixing the dishwasher after a few months of it not working. I was hopeful that Pinnacle was going to be successful and we would all live happily ever after. My dreams of not having to wash dishes by hand came to a screeching halt when he started talking about a hose that seemed to be the problem. For some reason, a hose that has been there from the beginning is now suddenly the culprit. The previous company obviously overlooked that part of the troubleshooting checklist. Either way, he proceeded in removing the "unnecessary length" of tubing and said that it should be fine. However, it wasn't. The dishwasher still doesn't drain and it doesn't go through the cleaning cycles completely. Actually, the repair that the first technician did made it worse than before. The tubing that he attached came loose from the garbage disposal and water and food bits leaked under my sink. When I noticed it, I called them and left a message for them to call me, but as I expressed before, they are hard to communicate with and I never received a call. When I called them the next morning, the technician answered (finally) and he said that he got my message, but for some reason he did not call me. He explained that they would schedule an appointment as soon as the part came in, so I went back to patiently waiting... I received the appointment notice from Pinnacle through AHS, which was confirmed via email. I took time off of work to be available, and they did not show up or call. I tried calling them, but it took at least 9 times to actually reach someone. When they finally scheduled another visit, I expressed to the person scheduling the appointment that the technician needs to stay and witness the full cleaning cycle to ensure that the repair was truly complete. She agreed and said that her Senior Technician would be the one coming he would be successful in completing the repair. Anyways, when the Senior Technician arrived, he installed the correct tubing and when he was asked to stay to witness the cleaning cycle, he explained that it would need to be a new appointment. I tried again to schedule another appointment through AHS, but Pinnacle replied via text to let me know that they were submitting a diagnosis to AHS and they couldn't come out until they hear back from AHS. When I asked them what they sent to AHS, they would not respond. I called AHS this week, and keep in mind, we are in November now, so we have been living without a dishwasher since August. I am relatively patient, but when I spoke to AHS, I told that I was unhappy and that I didn't want Pinnacle at my house again. I just want my dishwasher repaired (or replaced) ASAFP. The AHS rep tried calling Pinnacle, but as per usual, they were not available. So, now we are dealing with another new company (#3) in fact. So far I optimistic because they specialize in Bosch Appliances, so maybe by Thanksgiving, the dishwasher will be up and running. The point of the matter is that Pinnacle Appliance Repair was woefully unprepared to fix the dishwasher. Focusing on a tube instead of why the Dishwasher was mechanically malfunctioning shows a lack of knowledge. Not responding to emails, texts, or phone calls, shows a lack of professionalism and a disrespect to the customer. The unwillingness to stay until the job is complete just shows that they aren't committed to providing quality service at all. My review isn't the only one like this either. After my first interaction with Pinnacle, I went onto Yelp just to see some reviews and I was surprised to see how many negative reviews there were. I sent the link to AHS and when I spoke to AHS the other day, I told her to go check them out on Yelp to see for herself. I was surprised that AHS would even align themselves with a company with such a poor rating. I know that this review is long, but if it helps anyone or sways them from going with Pinnacle, then I consider that a success. read more

Horrible. I've never had a company yell at me and basically call me a liar before. As with the others, American Home shield sent this company out to repair my dishwasher. The tech seemed a little clueless, at first trying to tie back the reason for my dishwasher not drying dishes was because the water took too long to get hot.... anyway, he ultimately said it needed a new heating element and would order parts. I made the comment while he was here, "go figure this always happens right after the 1 year warranty is up". Remember that point. Three days later I left a voicemail and text asking what the status is, and I am told that they won't fix it because it's under warranty... WTH??? I asked what she was talking about and she said the tech Edward said that I told him that my dishwasher was under a year old and still under warranty! Oh wow! If it was under warranty then I would have had GE fix it for free vs paying $75 for a service fee. I called Edward the tech, he said he didn't say that. The rude old lady at Pinnacle called me and said that she talked to him 3 times... who is telling the truth?!? Anyway, the receptionist woman said that her tech misHEARD me, and it's not his job to be accurate with his notes. She LITERALLY yelled at me to the point that she refused to let me speak. I hung up, called AHS, and they scheduled me a new company. If they do assign Pinnacle, do yourself a favor and ask for a new company!! read more

Four weeks ago a Pinnacle Rep came out and diagnosed the ice maker repair needs said he had to order a part, the next thing you know are calling us and saying they have to take the ice maker to their shop. They took our stand alone ice maker over two weeks ago, called several times and left numerous messages without a call back as to the whereabouts and ETA. Now I call their office number and it won't let you leave a message??? Someone owes me an ice-maker that works before the holidays. read more

We have an LG refrigerator and the ice maker was not working properly. It will make one batch of ice after you rest the ice maker and then it will not refill the water in ice maker. We paid $85 for technician to come and diagnose the problem His diagnosis was that the ice maker is not working properly and it should be replaced. We paid $249.01 to then to replace the ice maker. The problem did not go away and the new ice maker was doing exactly what the old ice maker did. The technician cake back and said that some thing was wrong with the connections inside the door and the whole door need to be replaced. So Ia asked the technician since he did not diagnose the problem properly, I should not be paying for the new ice maker part since that was not the issue to begin with. I called the office and the lady who owns the company refused to listen and kept telling em that since i do not own a appliance repair company i am wrong and they are right... We have used Pinnacle Apprliance Repair for almost five years for several appliance repairs including our refrigerator, clothes dryer and dishwasher. Our experience with appliance repair companies in the past was not good and so we were pleasantly surprised with the speed that Pinnacle responded Problems on our appliances were quickly diagnosed and two problems were repaired the same day. The technician was back the next day to repair the clothes dryer after a part needed to be ordered. We especially appreciated the time that was taken to explain why the repairs were needed and what were the next steps to getting the appliances working. We have referred Pinnacle to friends and neighbor and they have all expressed their satisfaction as well. read more

I had an appointment with Pinnacle Appliance Repair to repair my dryer. The repair man came in my home and did absolutely nothing, he did not look at the dryer or even attempt to pull it out. When I called the office, I asked for the owner the person answering the phone stated they were the owner before I could voice my concern, they defended the Repair man's excuse for his non work. I stated that how could he make a determination of what was needed without looking at the dryer. They said he stated that they did not repair hose or remove clogs, they only fixed the drier. Well that was the problem if they don't repair that what are they in business for? AHS recommended them and I am sorry to say they did not even try to do what was expected. In addition the person answering the phone was extremely unprofessional. Complete disappointment. read more

Very disappointed with Pinnacle Appliance Repair. The technician came buy to check my fridge first said it was a certain piece causing the temperature issue. So a few days later, he came back to change it ( he asked me to turn off the fridge 1 day before he came). Then with the new piece in, he could not get the fridge to turn on. He said it could related to other 2 pieces, he would make some calls, order a piece, etc. the fact is that the insurance calls me saying that by what the technician said, they don't cover the fridge ( he said something related to some cut wires). So really upset, i dispute that resolution, and the insurance sends another company, the new technician finds the issue in 2 min, comes back the next day with the new piece for the back that controls the panel and bam! Changes it in less then 5 min. Just like that the fridge is fine and working. That guy had no idea what to do, or didn't want to, or didn't care. read more

I'm terribly dissatisfied with the overall service I received from Pinnacle Appliance Repair. I made a request on AHS website for a dryer repair. I received a call on Monday 12/18 from Pinnacle saying they had a cancelation that day and that they could send someone that afternoon. Because we work, neither my husband nor I could accommodate on such short notice. My husband called them back and he scheduled an appointment for Friday 12/22, keep in mind my husband made arrangements to miss work on Friday 12/22. Then I get a call on Wednesday 12/20 telling they cannot come out 12/22 because they will be closed. How did this company not know they would be closed on the day the scheduled our appointment? So, they tell me they can come out Thursday 12/21. At this point my husband cannot be home Thursday so I take the day off to be home for service. The "repair person" arrives during the specified window and we even received a text saying he was about 20 minutes away, so that's good. Tech comes and I tell him that our dryer shuts off after running anywhere from 5-20 minutes with an error code that says E64. Tech looks at my dryer and then proceeds to tell me that my dryer is overheating because my vents "probably" need to be cleaned. I explain to him that we just had our dryer vent that leads outside cleaned in October and that we have it cleaned twice a year. Then he tells me I "probably" have a bird's nest stuck up in there. So, I explain to him that we have a bird guard surrounding our outer vents. Then he tells me I "probably" have a rat that made its way in between the bird guard. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I honestly felt that this guy had no desire to do any real work. I tell the tech that per Electrolux an E64 code means heating element is going out. He tells me, yes it COULD be that but it could also be something clogging your vent. At that moment, the error code pops on the display screen and dryer shuts off. Then he says "ok now I know it's your heating element. I ask him if he plans on replacing heating element today and he says no because part needs to be ordered and that Pinnacle will call when part arrives and schedule another service call, fair enough. On Wednesday 12/27 I get a text around noon that they would like to send a tech out on Thursday 12/28 between 11-3 to install part. Wonderful, so my husband takes Thursday off to be available. Well not so wonderful because we get a call and text at 7:35 pm saying that part hasn't arrived and they must cancel. At this point we are upset because my husband had already canceled all his work meetings and appointments for 12/28 and it was too late to put them back on his calendar. So, this would be the second time they cancel on us. On Thursday afternoon 12/28 they text us saying they can be out the next day Friday 12/29 to install part between 11-3. Ok, so now my husband has lost 2 days of work for appointments that have been canceled at the last minute. So, I take the day off from work. Guess what? I get a call at noon, same day of scheduled service, telling me sorry but they are canceling my appointment AGAIN and will reschedule me for Tuesday 1/02 between 12-4. So it's now Tuesday 01-02 and at 9:45am the day of service I get a text saying our time window has been moved from 10 - 2, fine. Well 2pm arrives and no tech no phone call. So, I call and a woman says, and I quote, "I kind of made a mistake, and the tech is here in the office working on paperwork. So it will be at least 30 minutes before he gets to you." I wait an hour and I call back at 3pm asking for time window. No one answers so I leave a message. A few minutes later I get a text saying tech is on his way, he arrives close to 4 finally to complete the job. Dryer works fine so far, but he didn't even put the dryer back to where it was, he left it sticking out and the vent hose/tube fell off from the back of dryer as a result. I used Pinnacle to fix my washer and over the stove microwave oven. For the microwave, it took Pinnacle over 3 months to get the right part. They dept blaming LG for changing the type of assembly. For my washer, it was leaking from the front door. They replaced the rubber part of the door. This cost me almost $400. After 6 weeks, the door started leaking again. When I called Pinnacle, they informed me that the 30 day warranty has expired and wouldn't provide a reduce cost. I was very upset with Pinnacle and will never use them again. read more

I have a technical background and in speaking with this entry level Techs, they know they get paid well for increasing the amount of calls they can generate for American home shield. I can tell the Tech exactly what is wrong with my appliance and he states you need to call american home shield so i can be approved for all those parts and I probably will need to make several trips because i have to wait on parts. Therefore generate a $100 service call for each trip. American home shield is a scam and poor ethical company and Pinnacle appliance is just as bad for play on the same field. Terrible service. Home Shield sent them out twice to fix our dryer and it's still sounds like the drum isn't installed properly. It's making a terrible noise. On top of that, they left a bolt and a screw on the carpet where my toddler could have found it and choked. We even cancelled Home Shield over this. Save yourself the headache and money. Run.... We are now 1 month without our refrigerator. A young man came out initially with no tools, just his cell phone. Did diagnostics through the cell phone and stated he had to order parts. I asked what parts and he said he will not know until he gets back to the office. I asked for a work order and he said that we will not get one until the work is done. Week and a half later he shows up to put on a part of some sort. Decided that he needs a different part. He needs to order it. A compressor he said. Doesn't know how long it will take. No calls from Pinnacle. Call their number and leave messages. No one answers the phone. Call AHS to complain and they state they haven't received any paperwork on the job and that is not normal. They have to track down the status. We are told our part is on back order. They will call us on the 2nd to schedule a time to install. This is one month without a refrigerator. We pay AHS $50+ per month for warranty and an additional $75 co-pay for the call. I am thinking that it is time to cancel my warranty and put the money in my savings. This has been a nightmare. read more
