They have over 800 beers available and a constant rotation of new, unusual, and innovative beers on tap - we tried a blueberry blonde, a mango habanero beer, and a raspberry beer. The pizza is also your best bet. We had a summer garden vegetable pizza that was delicious. The steak fries and boneless wings were average. Definitely stick to the pizza here. I was in the other night and noticed a lot of raw pizza dough being handled by the waitstaff and given out to children, considering the F.D.A's ruling that raw flour contains Salmonella, I'm wondering if you will continue this practice. Seeing so much Salmonella turned my stomach and I could not finish my meal. I also observed my waitress handle raw dough and not wash her hands afterwards. This is not safe food handling. read more

Pinocchio's is a Delco institution and they provide good service, a wide variety of beer and some good sandwiches. Unfortunately, the pizza has always been terrible. I order it a couple times a year because even bad pizza is passable but the whole family always agrees that it's one of the worst around. This is one of my favorite places for food and/or drink but this 1-star needs attention, I believe. The owner needs to learn to appropriately speak to his staff. Someone behind the bar made a very simple mistake that was addressed with a refund (to the customers satisfaction) and the owner chastised them, in front of me, the customer, in a way that I saw completely inappropriate (your opinion may of course vary). The owner of this place sees fit to emasculate and embarrass his staff in front of several bar customers over a basic ingredient-related accident. If you're not offended by this, the food is good and the wait-staff is quite friendly and attentive. If you, like me, find the above and agree you'd rather public facing staff receive (especially-embarrassing) behavior-based counseling in private so that they may better serve customers without being literally insulted before them, vote with your dollar and take business elsewhere. read more

I chose to order pizza from here last night ONLY because of the fundraiser for Providence Animal Center. I say only because I had their pizza twice before and thought the crust was hard but not in a crispy, crunchy, tasty way but in a, I need to use my back molars to chew it, unpleasant way. Regardless, it had been awhile since my last experience and the shelter fundraiser was enough for me to give a local place a third try. I ordered a mushroom pie and was stoked when I opened the box and saw fresh cut shrooms instead of the jarred ones that other places will use. However, once again, the crust/dough was my main disappointment as it was flavorless and hard and I only ended up managing to eat a of couple slices. I guess regulars aren't as concerned with pizza quality/taste when throwing back a few IPAs from their beer garden but I won't order pizza from here again. read more

It shames all of the competition around here. They are on point with their delivery times, price is great, and they have an awesome beer selection. This is based on an October 2019 experienced. We had been going here for years and food has always been solid. We had a surprisingly bad customer service experience. After ordering two pints of beer the waitress returned with one beer and one entire pitcher. After realizing her error she walked away with the untouched pitcher and states she will return with a glass. She returns with pitcher and indicates that she already poured it and we would be only charged for a glass. When the bill comes at the end of the night she indicates that the manager instructed her that she had to charge us for the entire pitcher. The waitress was at least apologetic. We were not happy with being charged for a mostly untouched pitcher of beer that we did not order. Needless to state, they lost our business. read more

Met a large group here. I called ahead and we were accommodated nicely. The room was not as expected (they said "side room" and I thought it'd be private). Was really just a "back room" LOL. Our waitress was a little slow. Then again, we were really sporadic with timing of ordering food, drinks, etc. She was nice enough. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap thinking I was being healthy. THINK AGAIN. The wrap had a TON of cheese. It was fine. Most of the flavor came from the cheese. I think the menu should have a few more healthy options. If I just got the pizza, would've been probably the same amount of calories as the pizza. If I was reviewing just the food I'd give it 2 stars but I do understand this is more of a place to go to drink. I like the beer selection and the laid back atmosphere. back at pinocchio's again for the second time. my brother in law and i were craving their onion rings and curly fries (which by the way are super crispy and yummy). the decor seems outdated and it shows theyve been here for a while with their variations of pinocchio signs over the years. you definately get a homey family owned restaurant feel though which is nice. pinocchio wasnt lying when he said they have a lot of beer. they have a nice beer selection of 10-15 beers or so on tap and a beer garden with over 500 brews to choose from. :) our second visit is starting to become a disappointment. their service is a bit slow. it took 15 mins for our onion rings and hot wings to come out. usually this would be ok but considering the fact that's it almost 2pm and only 25% seating capacity, this is not acceptable. well our meatlovers pizza came out about the same time as our wings and onion rings. I wouldvr preferred If the appetizers came out sooner and pizza later so everythig wouldn't get cold at once. the meat lovers pizza was good being that it wasn't drenched with oil and grease. our onion rings were still crunchy 20 mins later which is def a plus in my books. overall, I would go back again just for the finger foods and pizza. it's a good hang out place with friends and/or for kids. Utterly amazing! I've been here at least 10 times and I've never had a problem. The sandwiches are thick and huuuge! Their meatball sub is fantastic! So is their chicken parm sub (made with house made chicken cutlet!). They have amazing homemade onion rings too! Their pizza is fantastic with fresh made dough and a good sauce. Personally i like their Sicilian the best. A small Sicilian can feed 3 to 4 people! Their beer selection is very on point with at least 30 beers on tap, with cask specialties and nitro. As a resident of Media for the last few years, you'd be crazy to not make Pinocchio's a regular spot. The pizza is spot on, and it's one of the few places in the area that deliver throughout Media. The take-out staff is probably some of the busiest, yet friendliest, you'll find in their position. There are some glaring issues that could be made to improve the restaurant even better. The in-house seating is terribly cramped. I'm a tall gentleman, and I can't fit in any of the booths. Parking is a nightmare in the small lot. My service experience, when sitting at the bar during lunch, was less than extraordinary. I felt invisible to the staff, since I wasn't a lunch regular. That said, the take out and delivery staff has always been friendly and helpful with getting my food on time (or early), and with great results. The one complaint I'd have is with the delivery. It's not free (2.50 charge), and while the delivery is usually fast, the pizza has been coming in more frequently as lukewarm or undercooked. It's gotten to the point where we either pick up from Pinocchio's, or we don't order at all. Still, for some great tasting pizza and steaks, you can't go wrong with picking up from Pinocchio's. If you're a beer aficionado, don't miss the beer garden next door for an amazing selection of beers. I'm not a beer drinker, but the selection makes me wish I was. read more

I love this place. For starters the staff is always friendly and most have been here for years, I mean 20 or so. If they love working here the management must know how to treat them which I like because it only enhances the experience when people are happy and friendly. The food is pizza place charming. All good and daily dinner specials run the gamut from Italian to Meat loaf. Re decor is pizza place not been updated. A little sad really. An update to their century instead of 1967 when they opens would let me take a date hear early in the dating cycle instead of when we know each other's kinks ( non-physical I mean) Huge menu. If you can't find something here you must be pregnant. I love the Strombolian they are done right, stuffed full in a tube of dough, not rolled. Not burnt, delish. Draft beer list is all crafts and somehow the owner gets limited release and hard to find beers. The staff know a decent amount about beer but can't always make a recommendation other than " people like it". I have never been to the beer garden because the tap list leave me pretty well satisfied whenever I am here. The list they provide is nice. It gives descriptions of beers to help me select and let's you know what is coming up on draft for your next visit. The only complaint here is that they cross out the kicked taps and you can't read them. sometimes I like to know what I missed out on for next time when I see it I will know. They can fixe that easily by just not using a black marker, people will get the point. Over all great relaxed pizza place with a surprisingly great beer selection. read more

All you can eat pizza! Need I say more. The pizza is average but the beer garden is really one of a kind in the area, and quite reasonable. We have had large groups here before and they are always very accommodating. It's media so parking can be a pain but the dedicated lot does really help. read more

Shamefully bad customer service has ruined our opinion of what had once been our local favorite. We ordered a pizza and some sides in the early evening for a small party - and after waiting a total of 2 hours - we learned that the restaurant had lost our order. This was after we had called twice prior to check on the order and been told that it was 10-15 min away each time. The third call was when we learned there apparently was no record of our order. After arguing with my wife that we could not have ordered a "large" pizza becuase they only have medium and jumbo size - the woman curtly offered to send us a pizza free of charge or to give us a credit. However - she was so rude in her manner and approach (seemingly aggrieved that we were not immediately appeased/grateful by the notion of starting over with a new order 2 hours after the first had been placed) that we opted out of the insincere/half-hearted attempt as we were too disgusted to want anything else from this establishment. Word of advice - next time you screw up this badly - drop the attitude and stick with sincere/polite attempts to make amends. read more

For this genre, it is pretty good. Very family friendly. Great place for bringing the kids after a game. Most parents will find something that they will find acceptable. My wife and I came in about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday August 13, 2019 to pick up our order. One of the managers name Tim was yelling at a employee calling her stupid and other names because he thought she messed up a order. The employee calmly walked away and left the building. Then the other employee says he made the mistake. Tim said o well. I am not sure if it was because the other employee was black and the one who made the mistake was white. But the way he talked to them was different. No one should be treated like that. How can we get proper service if the employees are treated rude. Service was fast food was hot but my cheese steak didn't have enough meat in my roll and enough cheese on it. For a $10 cheese steak. That just crazy focus on giving better quantity of food and respecting all employees. The restaurant experience would have been better. read more

I have gone here for years and have seen a few things that would turn most people off from returning but I still went cause Christine the bartender is awesome and always makes you feel welcome but last week was it for me. A friend and I were sitting at the bar watching the football game and out of nowhere one of the managers (pizza manager with a red hat) grabs one of the young line cools by the neck and shoulders and starts verbal and physically assaulting him. Pushing him out the door and cursing at him to get the "F" out. After the line cook was out of the restaurant the so called manager is still cursing and going on loud enough for half the restaurant to here it. At that point I paid my tab and told my buddy and Christine I was leaving and wouldn't be back until that guy was fired. Some of the other regulars said its not the first time this guy has done something like this. Employees don't deserve to be treated like garbage and the manager should seek some anger management counseling. I hope the owner reads this and takes some action. read more

I'll admit, I've eaten the food here only twice, and both times were carryout - so I can't really talk about the atmosphere or service. I am also from out of town, but I visit my friends who live in Media, and this is what we'll order in! I am actually not even that huge of a pizza person, but Pinocchio's pizza is REALLY good. I especially love that they have gourmet pizza. I've also ordered their salads which are just as yummy. I've never been the one to pick up the pizza, but my husband and my friend do and they always enjoy hanging out for a bit there and having a beer. I have passed this place on Baltimore Pk many times. Driving by last Friday night I heard some great blues music coming from the front parking lot. We stooped to look and found they have an INSANE selection of craft beers bottled and on tap. We had a beer and hung out for a while. Had another beer and then felt a little hungry. Tried the broiled crab cake sliders and a Greek salad w grilled chicken. We ordered the grilled shrimp, but we were hungry and ate the chicken. I ate at this establishment with my companion. She ordered a turkey sandwich with mayo and I ordered a mushroom cheesesteak grinder. Also ordered a small pizza mostly to go. I ordered a draft Oktoberfest beer while she ordered a Diet Coke with lemon. There were breadsticks brought out, however they were completely cold, without dipping sauce and virtually inedible- FAIL 1. The soda was brought out without lemon that was requested-FAIL 2. Turkey sandwich was brought out without mayo that was requested-FAIL 3. She noticed a live, crawling, small bug on the plate-BIG FAIL-4. Waitress who did not have a very helpful disposition was nowhere to be found. Therefore we sought another waitress who took the plate away and stated they will make another sandwich-my companion declined the offer. Then the inattentive waitress finally came to the table, asked if everything was OK. We explained to her there was a bug found on the plate, she said nothing, no apology, and walked away. Then she disappeared without an apology-FAIL 5. Then she came back after at least 5 minutes with new breadsticks that were hot but terrible and without any dipping sauce-FAIL 6. When she returned she asked if everything was ok- we said we wanted to see the manager. She then turned around talked to the manager for a minute or two, then nothing happened for at least another 5 minutes. The manager finally came to our table and was unfazed about his establishment having a live bug on a dinner plate (he said it was a little lettuce bug). We told him we never knew of such a bug and NEVER experienced a bug in or around our food. The manager then defended his establishment about passing 100% Department of Health tests, etc. I also explained that the waitress failed about the other things that were requested and was completely unapologetic. He was frustrated and then stated the tab was on the house. We accepted the offer. Finally to top off this disappointing experience, the clueless waitress came by and asked us where the tab was. I explained to her that the tab was taken care of by the manager. She look puzzled and walked away in amazement. A fun indeed for all! read more
