Super cute little coffee shop. Stumbled upon this coffee shop after brunch in La Jolla and it is so cute. It's a aesthetic little shack/shop on the side of the road. The staff was very kind and the coffee was delicious!

Small kiosk that serves up coffee staples (flat white, latte, etc) with some baked goods. Peep their hours before heading over as they close early. They have lots of outdoor seating to enjoy your coffee. If you're an early riser, this place is perfect to just grab good coffee with no frills. The person who made our drink was super kind. She asked if we wanted sugar in our flat white because they brew strong coffee. She wasn't kidding! The flat white was delicious. Definitely strong but not bitter at all. They do have oat milk which was not burned. Will be pack when I'm in the area for my caffeine pick me up!

We stopped by La Jolla to checkout the pelicans and seals. Pinpoint had a nice little booth setup on one of the side streets. We got some açaí bowls, a flat white (with oat milk), and a bagel with cream cheese. Everything was great! Coffee was nice and strong but still smooth. Açaí bowls were pretty and delicious.

Little kiosk near a business area! Has some good on the go food. The acai bowl was good and decent. Already a premixed blend so I could not get my peanut butter blended it. It had an icy smooth consistency with blueberries. Filling size and normal price. I think this is the regular size. Wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for this açaí bowl again but if I'm close by! Staff were nice and friendly.

This place was a fantastic surprise find while in La Jolla. Just a block from our hotel made it even more convenient. The drinks and food were all amazing. The staff is very kind, friendly and accommodating. We went multiple times because it was so good. Highly recommended for taste of coffee, amazing food (we had the avocado toast and Nutella toast). We even went back mid day for a Açaí Smoothie that was just perfect. Loved it so much we brought back a souvenir cup that does a great job of keeping things hot and cold.

The acai bowl was one of the best I've ever had, especially with warm peanut butter drizzled on top. Service was friendly and quick.

The salsa they serve here is so yummy!! Does anyone know where I can buy it?

All our food, including the salsa are made by us! People love our salsa so much, that we are planning on selling the salsa in a mason jar. Stay tuned!

It's easy to see why it's become such a popular spot, especially for people in their 20s looking for that perfect, modern coastal vibe. The merchandise is great too--stylish, on-trend, and fits perfectly with the brand they're going for. It's definitely a place you want to take your time browsing. That said, the space is pretty small, and at times it can feel like the staff is watching you while you shop. I completely understand that it comes with the size of the store, but it can make the experience feel a little less relaxed. I do wish there were some outdoor seating or a bit more space to hang out, because the aesthetic really lends itself to that kind of environment. Overall, it's a really cool shop with a strong identity and great products--just a few small tweaks could make the experience even better.

We waited about 30 minutes (Sunday afternoon rush), but it gave me plenty of time to explore the menu. I usually stick to a simple order, but with so many base options, I decided to "do it all," and I'm so glad I did. My son loved the pitaya and mango bases (and so did I). The blue coconut and classic açaí were excellent, and the blue chia topping was a fun and tasty surprise. All the fruit was extra fresh, and the granola added the perfect crunch. We absolutely loved everything and will definitely be back soon!

BLUE BOWL @ UCSD LA JOLLA…read more Parking is available, but I believe you have to pay if you park in the garage. I decided to just park along Gilman Drive, which is free, and walked about 20 minutes. Honestly, it wasn't bad at all -- it was a sunny day and there's plenty of street parking if you're willing to walk a bit. I've always loved Blue Bowl Superfoods in Oceanside. It's SO good and easily one of my favorite açaí spots, I could literally eat it every single day. I love all the customizations they offer, the variety of bases, and just how many ingredients they have. This time, I decided to visit their UCSD location, which is right in the middle of University of California San Diego's campus. They open around 10 AM on Saturdays (and typically around 8 AM on weekdays), and even right at opening there were already a lot of people waiting. My friend and I were still able to get in and out pretty quickly around 10. I ended up getting their mango passion base along with açaí. For toppings, I loaded it up strawberries, bananas, apples, blackberries, blueberries they truly have so many options. I also love their variety of nuts, seeds, and different types of nut butters. They really don't skimp on choices. Overall, I would highly recommend stopping by. I was SO full after, and honestly, you could even split a bowl with a friend because they pack it generously. It's about $12 for a normal medium-sized bowl, which I think is worth it for the portion and quality. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The ambiance is nice it's more of a grab-your-bowl and then sit outside type of vibe, but there is indoor seating as well. Definitely one of my favorite açaí spots, and this location did not disappoint.

She recently graduated from UCSD and this was her favorite smoothie (still is). My niece got the Frutopia smoothie and enjoyed her drink. I opted for a build-your-own açaí bowl. The bowl came with any 4 toppings, additional toppings varied it cost per item. I chose strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and new pollen. I also added sliced almonds and granola, topped with honey. The gal who helped build my açaí bowl (Acharipon, I probably butchered the spelling of her name), was very pleasant and had really great customer service skills. It's obvious she was well trained and had the skills set to work in food service. What sets this place apart from other places that sells smoothies and açaí bowls was the friendliness of their staff. Acharipon made a pretty bowl that was Yelp photo worthy! What I loved about my bowl: The açaí base was very frozen. Some other places make it watery, which I do not care for. I liked how it was frozen, down to the last spoon! The blueberries were frozen (I love frozen blueberries). Areas for improvement: The strawberries were frozen and chopped into tiny pieces. Fresh strawberries would've been nicer. The toppings options were limited. The shop was very clean and organized. There was a self-help kiosk where you placed your order, but payment was at the register. It seemed a bit odd that the kiosk didn't have the functionality to accept payments, because the order had to be re-confirmed at the register when it was already confirmed at the self-help kiosk. This slowed down the process slightly, which I didn't mind. Overall, I enjoyed the experience here and would definitely recommend it!

What do you know I was able to find parking in La Jolla easily. It just so happened I turned on Fay Street which is another busy street in La Jolla, and someone was backing out of their parking spot, so it was meant to be. I walked a short distance to Kline street which was the cross street of where "Blue Whale" is located. At first, I felt like I was not going to try it here because of the line of people and people everywhere outside and a long line inside the place. I decided to wait because I did not know when I would be back. When walking in, the vibe is cute, casual, and beach themed. The music is energizing and happy too. I placed my order with a friendly cashier and told her I wanted it to go because all the tables outside and inside were filled. But, someone was getting up from their table and I quickly walked over to snag the table inside. I had a cute, small table up against a window. Again, another sign I should try it. I ordered a sugar-free latte and avocado toast with an egg on top for added protein. Guess what, my food arrived in five minutes. Shannon, the manager brought it to me. I was so impressed how fast the service was and the friendliness here being so busy! She runs this place so professionally and efficiently. She is super friendly also! The rest of the staff the cashier, waitresses and waiters were also accommodating, friendly, and helpful too! Shoutout and Kudos to the chefs who create such deliciousness with the food. And, kudos to the baristas also who make such flavorful drinks. You all ROCK! The avocado toast with egg was incredible! So artistic with the presentation and the flavor was pit of this world DIVINE! The coffee was superb! I i understand the hype here! They deserve more than 5 stars! Whether you are a local or visitor, "Blue Whale" is a must! Even if you end up getting through the line to order, there doesn't seem to be a guarantee that there will be a table for you as seating was relatively limited. I ended up getting a to-go order since I didn't want to wait in line, but was a bit disappointed in the food given the hype. The California burrito was good but could have been more flavorful and the fries could've been crispier, and the mango sticky rice matcha was great in concept but the matcha flavor could've been stronger in execution.
