virtual reality game - only 3 players, 4th controller broken
    Sam B.

I'm so happy we found a new "cosmic"-style bowling place to hit up aka somewhere that does "late night" (closed at 11pm the Saturday we went) bowling with decent music and black lights. We arrived close 9pm to find out that they were offering unlimited bowling from 9p to close -- only for $11.99 each person! This cost included shoe rentals, too, I believe. We played some arcade games waiting for 9pm to hit. The virtual reality game looked cool, but I didn't get to play as one of the controllers was broken. My three friends said it was pretty intense and were freakin' out during the zombie round -- but they had fun. The arcade overall has some really good-looking, new games. There's also bumper cars and a mini golf course under black light to the left as you walk in. We didn't try either, but I wouldn't be opposed to in the future! My BF and myself chose to go to the bar area which is in another room to the right when you walk in. THAT area is even better than the regular bowling area, but we had some minors with us, or else we would've bowled in there. The bartender was super friendly and helpful. This was the night I was first educated on the "Zion curtain" rule... huh. I guess if you can't "see" a drink be made in Utah, it doesn't exist? Besides that, drinks are reasonably-priced. We got two lanes right at 9pm, no hidden fees or anything like that. Sweet couch-type seating. Music videos play on flat screens on the back wall above the lanes. COOL. Just wish the music was louder (the music seemed better and louder in the bar area). Plenty of ball options -- no issue there, which is surprising compared to my past experience. I was also happily surprised to find that the pizza and fries were really good! I mean for a bowling alley, damn good. We had loads of fun playing for a couple hours. They shut down our last game before it finished ('cause we didn't know when they closed until it actually happened), but it actually saved me some money from a bet I was about to lose. I am definitely returning!

We came here on a whim for a last minute birthday celebration. Our party of about 20 people found seating right by the mini dance floor. We had to arrange tables and chairs but we made it work. We didn't get to bowl or try any of their food since we ate dinner prior to coming. Well I didn't bowl because I have nails and I'm not breaking one! DJ Hyde was spinning the tracks and he takes all requests! He will incorporate it with the rest of his songs which makes him a great DJ. We were all the way live baby lol. I had their Moscow mule and it was a little watered down. Beer is beer and you can't go wrong with that. We soon found out that you can bring your favorite wine and for them to pop it open is only $10. I asked if I can bring my favorite tequila (patron) because it too has a cork and I got the side eye. Haha I tried. Oh well. Definitely take advantage of that if you could!

The service in this place is beyond ridiculous. Had to go to approach the wait staff to order anything and not once In an hour and a half did anyone check back with us. I understand service difficulties when a place is busy but there were almost as many people working as there were customers. where is management picture says it all.

Pins & Ales is located inside of the All Star Lanes in Draper. It's a bar, bowling alley, and nightclub all in one. My visit was for New Year's Eve, and the cost was $130 for up to 6 people to bowl for 2 1/2 hours. It also included party favors, a DJ, and raunchy music videos playing all over the place, so you know we had a good time. And that's not all, folks... we also got 6 $10 arcade cards, and their games are legit. You bet I'm going back!

If there was less than one star, I would rate it just that! Went out of our way to have a good night! When we got here we were a little confused on what lane we were. The server was barley cleaning our table, all she did was remove the food and trash from previous party. Our table was never cleaned, even after she said she would come back to clean it. Paid extra to be on the 21+ side. Waste of money! She never checked on how we were doing. Asked the gentleman at the bar where we could order food, he stated there was a waitress that would be with us shortly. WHERE IS SHE? Nowhere to be found! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!!!! Never coming back here again!

a toilet with a hole in it

This place is a shit hole. There was literal shit in the bathroom on the floor and toilet. Not only that, prior to finding the shit, the service was even shittier. To top the night off, several people had a fist fight not only inside, but outside of the establishment as well. Oh, and the beer was horrifyingly bad. It tasted like the kegs had never been cleaned. And this place allowed several white males project derogatory names on their screen while bowling. Call me a prude, but this was one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time.

The party was in a shared party room and at first we were the only one. So it felt like a really intimate private event and we were able to play our music like we wanted to, and then toward the end of our party we had to share the space a little bit. But with the party package the hostess secured we received unlimited drinks from the fountain machine, pizza, and salad. They provided all of the dishes and cleaned up. The birthday child also received a giant card available to be signed by the guests. I don't know if this was just something that our hostess secured or if it's normally an option but she was also able to get passes with a $5 (or so) arcade card for $20 a person. The pass gave us access to unlimited activities and we could reload our arcade card if we wished. Of the activities that I recall are: Laser tag (So fun for adults and kids!), bumper cars, bumper boats, mini golf, bowling, rock climbing, and racing cars (I can't remember the actual name of it). We were not there for long enough to get to do anything more than once because we wanted to experience so much, then I bet if we went back and we went in at open we would be able to enjoy a lot. There's also a food area should you want to buy food or lunch while you are there. I don't know the rules on exiting and re-entering.

Between the arcade, bowling, laser tag, mini golf, and other attractions, there's plenty to keep families entertained for hours. We did try hosting a birthday party here once, and unfortunately the party room experience wasn't very well organized. The room setup, food service, and overall hosting didn't meet our expectations, so we decided we'd rather just come back and enjoy the attractions on our own instead of booking another event. Even so, it's still a great family destination, and we'll definitely continue visiting for the fun activities.

I reached out to Fat Cats, and someone from their events department contacted me almost immediately. They walked me through every option--bowling times, shoe rentals, food packages, menu choices, how many each package would feed, and all the available add-ons. Everything was clearly explained, itemized, and incredibly easy to understand. A week after booking, more family members decided to come, so I needed to make some changes. Their events team handled everything seamlessly without missing a beat. Their customer service is truly five-star. When we arrived, there was a large welcome sign with our family name on it, which made everyone feel special. Our bowling lanes were ready to go, decorated, and waiting for us. The food arrived fresh, hot, and delicious, and everyone loved it. Most importantly, my kids, grandkids, my wife, and the rest of the family had an amazing time. Fat Cats made the entire experience effortless and memorable. I couldn't have asked for a better family reunion. Five stars to Fat Cats and their entire team. I'd be interested to come back on a slower day, because it was difficult to be in charge of kids here during a very crowded, overstimulating, busy weekend. We came here for a birthday party on a Saturday afternoon and all of the kids were given a card to swipe on all the games. The points you won were automatically uploaded to the card. I was so nostalgic for when you used to get actual paper tickets at the arcade! This is not the case here, and probably most other places nowadays. The staff was friendly and the arcade itself was much cleaner than I was expecting. Some of the games weren't working and there wasn't any signage communicating that. The group of kids I was with LOVED the merry go round and the little rides catered to the smaller kiddos. Those games obviously don't accrue any points, but they did win some points and were able to pick up some prizes at the end. If you get overstimulated easily (like myself), this place probably isn't for you - lots of noises, lights, bright colors and carpeting. It is a fun place for families, and even with it being busy, we didn't ever have to wait long for the games we wanted to play. Would be interested to come back during the week when it's less busy!
