Staff handling the bowling accommodations was very rude. The guy's hair was died red, didn't get his name. He lacked basic customer service abilities and was just a jerk. I had the worst service here from start to finish. We sat down to eat food and it took 30 minutes for someone to wait on us after asking multiple workers if we could get some service. When we went to get our tab at the end of the night, they couldn't find our credit card for over 10 minutes and at one point saw them checking under their computer for it. We asked what was going on with our card and the waiter was extremely rude to my husband to the point we asked for the manager after a comment he made. It's nearly impossible to get good service here. Or any service for that matter. I've given this place three chances on different nights of the week and it's awful every damn time, even on slow nights. On average, I've waited 20 minutes for anyone to even take my drink order. Another 15 to actually get my drink. And I have to beg for another round! Then, to tab out is a nightmare because your waitress will disappear. If you go here, do yourself a favor and pay with cash. I was warned that the customer service is less than sub par, but still had high hopes. BIG mistake. We were the only people there at 5pm and the service was atrocious. The waitress was terrible. We practically had to beg to get drinks or food. She was rude and put out that we were there. My friends kept saying, "wow, this girl really hates us"! If your going to bowl...$34.99 pet hour for adult lanes, it's good. If you're going to bowl AND have food with drinks...you're shit outta luck unless you go in the EXTREME off hours (before 6pm). I RARELY leave less than 20% but this has definitely warranted the rare instance. Food (mac n cheese balls) took over 30 minutes, shots over 15, a simple pitcher....over 10 minutes. Granted, in the busy weekend evening hours, it's understandable, but this was prior to those hours when the patrons numbered on one hand...it'll be rare if I/we go back. read more

It's a great place for having a night out bowling and hanging with friends. The food and service are mostly quite good, my only complaint is that the beer selection is poor. The owner of the establishment has a brewery that supplies the draft beer and while it's not bad, it's definitely not great. Considering the great local beer selection Utah offers I wish they drew upon that a bit more. I was super excited to go to this place when I heard about it, bowling...no kids allowed, live music and drinks, what more can you ask for? A friend had a birthday party here, we had 25 people enjoying ourselves when they tried to get us to move out of the section we were sitting in, stating another party (of 3 people) had reserved the area. That may have been so however we had been sitting there for well over an hour spending our money and drinking and you wait until then to tell us? Ridiculous. Very unorganized, they should get their reservations straight and realize that there are many places to chose for a party. If there was something lower than a one, I would select that! Be careful with your money and your credit cards! We were charged twice for one tab because the server/ bartender did not know where he put the cash or how to close out the tab! We had no choice but to pay twice since we did not know the servers name! . That is what Dallas, apparently a manager said! Plus the servers keep all the customers cards in their pockets and don't always remember to give them back! I had to ask twice for mine! And one person in our group did not get their card back and the next day a charge from the bar next door appeared on the card! Same manager, Dallas, a horrible person, said that was not possible again unless we had the employees name! Honestly! And we have the bank records to prove the charge! And when we went back after two days, guess what, that card was in the possession of an employee! Imagine that! Anyway, if you go and I don't suggest ever going, watch your money and cards VERY carefully! They are very dishonest and could care less about the customers, especially that manager Dallas. This place has such potential! Clean, music, lighting, games. The only thing is the customer service sucks. All the front desk people are rude and don't know what customer service is. Hard to get food and drinks even when there is nobody in the place. Also went to go into the bar and the bouncer did not accept a passport as ID, had to run to my car to grab my drivers license. We went as a group from work as a team building event. We bowled on the adult side and had fun. Only drawback was the blatantly sexual music videos on large screens on each lane. Kind of awkward and could become an HR nightmare in a mixed crowd or even some of the men were taken aback by the soft core porn content. I guess these videos are considered mainstream by the ownership. They went on for a good hour before they switched to 70's rock videos like AeroSmith which seemed like an odd Segway. I went for a beer and bowling and had blatant sexual videos overwhelming us on large screens while next door in the family section they played Disney or something like that. I am not from Utah, not LDS but I am curious why they would think that just because you want a beer you also want to be bombarded by blatant sexually charged videos. Also, 99.9 % of the videos were of African American gangsters flashing wads of cash, shaking twerking etc. I am not African American but if I was I would be offended as each of these videos portrayed an image of African Americans as impulsive sex crazed hedonist money worshippers. I had a colleague who is African American an executive and I could feel him cringe. These videos portray stereotypes and condone a lifestyle which does not represent mainstream American values! In closing dump the videos and I would score it a 5 star read more

I was concerned when I read the reviews but our experience has been nothing but good. The pitchers are really cheap and the music has been good. Definitely exceeded the previous reviews. Service had been fast as well. You pay by the hour. I only wish you could extend your time in a lane. I was incredibly impressed with this place tonight. The service, first of all, was impeccable. You can tell the waiters and bartenders are professionally trained. And the food..the food was upscale, to say the least! The presentation, first of all, was such a wonderful surprise! I had no idea that I was going to get such a lovely looking meal. I ordered a burger and it was gorgeous! And not only that, it was heaven! Then, the cocktails! They seriously took their time making each drink. And it shows. My husband and I tried this new establishment on 10/18/2014 after seeing the ad on City Weekly. It is a bowling/bar/dance place. When got there around 7pm and enjoyed ourselves until about 10:30pm when one particular group began being real loud and real obnoxious. We could definitely see that they were way past being drunk and were shocked to see that the bar continued to sell them alcohol. My husband and I were the only ones dancing on the floor when one of the guys in the group decided to mosh pit with his fellow buddies on the dance floor. He was drunk and all over the place. My husband asked him to slow down a bit fearing he was going to hit me when the mosh pitter began swearing and acting like a real tough guy. My husband didn't back down at all and the mosh pitter started blurting out that he was a cop and we better back off and sit down. The DJ asked us to sit down then the 2 bouncers of the club asked us to leave, despite the mosh pitter cop was the one way past drunk and way past belligerent. This Pins and Ales catered to these drunk off duty cops and the establishment new they were off duty cops and decided to run us out instead of the problem. I am disgusted with this place and cannot believe that after being in business only 4 months, they would choose to cater to these types instead of decent folks. Terrible, terrible place!!! read more

We ordered a pizza and when they brought it out the table next to us said it was theirs and we told the guy who brought out the pizza that was our order he gave it to the other table and as he walked away we stopped him to let him know again that was our order and he said " I know" and walked away. Our waitress came by and we explained what happened and she apologized and had them make us another pizza and when they brought it out the other table claimed it was theirs so I stopped the waiter and explained that it was supposed to be ours and the other group got physical but because the security claimed I was the aggressor we had to leave but the other group did not. What a joke, I can understand one mistake but twice and then our group has to leave, ridiculous. read more
