I used to go to this cute little place called Pinto on Adams Ave in Normal Heights. Out of curiosity, I looked up my old review and clicked on the link for their website, and that's how I found Pinto Thai Bistro. Thought maybe they relocated, but no, this is a family run business that has been open for 12 years! Dang, I must be living under a rock! I can't believe Erica P didn't tell me about this place! They are located in a small strip mall with ample parking!!! Friendly greeting when I walked in. The dining room is cozy, but I was getting food to go. I ordered the usual as a good test: fresh spring rolls with tofu, panang curry with chicken, pad see ew with chicken, and garlic pepper stir fry with beef. The spring rolls were great! Nice fresh vegetables and that peanut sauce...Mmmmm. Delicious panang which is my favorite! The pad thai was good as well, though not enough bean sprouts. The pad see ew was very good! I really liked the garlic pepper stir fry but should have said mild, cause my mouth was on fire! Each dish tasted different and I felt was more authentic to Thai cuisine. My nephew's wife said it tasted like the food she grew up with in Thailand. I also really appreciated that the way everything was packed to go. Definitely worth coming to and seriously, one of the best parts is easy parking! It took me the same amount of time if I went to that other place where you're circling around and trying to find parking.

Best Tom Kha soup our family has ever had! I also had the red curry with chicken that was just spicy enough. I really enjoyed everything. Friendly service w a smile. I'll definitely come back!

One of my favorite places. The lunch specials are the best. The mixed vegetables with shrimp is my go to! My mom got the Thai basil noodles and while she didn't like them she was glad to try something new. The Thai iced tea is the perfect drink, not to sweet. The lunch special comes with a soup and it was so good, a little spicy with vegetables and cubes of tofu. The service is amazing and the restaurant is small but it doesn't feel small, it's really cozy.

I still love this tiny Thai restaurant. It is so cozy. Food is always delicious. I love their pad thai among other items. My family loves them too! They are right next to Round Table, definitely try them out!

I came for lunch on a weekday. It was not busy. The parking lot and restaurant are small. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken lunch special. It was a really good deal. The lunch special came with soup, salad, potsticker, and egg roll. Everything tasted good. I asked for the hot spicy level but felt it was not hot at all. I asked for chili oil to make it more spicy.

A small, cute thai restaurant in the Tierrasanta area. Service was excellent, staff was attentive and pleasant. I only ordered the glass noodle soup with chicken, mild spicy and it had a nice kick to it. I def enjoyed it. Unfortunately my friend and I were in a rush but i will def come back here to try other items on the menu.

Can't believe that Chun P and I have lived in Tierrasanta for 2 years and we just finally tried Pinto Thai. We arrived at on a weeknight and were welcomed kindly, only one other diner was in the shop but lots of folks were coming to-and-fro getting things to-go! Pa-nang curry was a bit spicy for my wimpy taste level, but the Massaman curry was just right. Thai veggie egg rolls were a tasty appetizer! The restaurant is cute and modern - plenty of options for neat pics for you Instagram types. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

We were lucky and were able to grab the spot right out front. For drinks we each ordered a cocktail. It did take a bit for them to come out but once they did you can tell time and effort were put into making them. They were beautiful and all tasted great. We ordered 4 dishes to share, the wasabi scallop ceviche, crispy baby crab, braised beef panang, and crab fried rice. The ceviche was definitely one of my favorites. Super flavorful, fresh, with the perfect amount of wasabi. The crispy baby crab was savory and easy to eat, especially since you're eating the whole crab, shell and all. The curry in the braised beef panang was so addicting, I couldn't stop eating it. The crab fried rice was tasty and filling. For dessert we got the mango sticky rice. The mangoes were fresh and sweet. Overall pretty standard but still yummy. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive. All the food came out in the timely manner. The vibe of the restaurant is casual but can be a little dressy for a nice date. Overall I definitely recommend a try here. Beautiful presentation with all the food and drinks while still being delicious.

We got the Taro Fritters, Bangkok street noodles, pork sausage, and the chicken wings. The highlight of the dinner were the chicken wings!! They were so flavorful and crispy, I cannot recommend them enough. The taro fritters were a close second, the tamarind sauce was also a highlight of my dinner experience. Service was quick + amiable, and the inside of Sovereign was clean and inviting. The decor is dark and moody, with live plants throughout the establishment. Parking is metered & limited, but definitely worth the hassle.

Place is quite dim, decor is beautiful with real plants, & some local vendor items for sale by the entrance. The menu is front & back so a lot of delicious choices, but I wasn't feeling too hungry so my friend and I just shared dishes. We ordered the sausage fried rice and the chef special basil stir-fry with crispy pork (also comes with a side of white rice). My friend and I loved the crispiness of the pork! And the way that egg was fried is one of my favorite ways of it being cooked. It made me want to order an extra egg. But other than that the sausage fried rice was also delicious. The sausage was very tender, slightly sweet but not like Chinese sausage style. I definitely loved the way it tastes. We had to ask for some spice on the side because I just knew both dishes will tastes better with some kick. I'll come back again just to try some of their curry dishes. I see why a lot of my friends have recommended this spot and why some of them do come back.

When we ordered, our server took the time to explain their spice scale (1-5), letting us know that a 1 is already about a medium spice level. We settled on mostly 2-3, but wow--the Thum Khao Poon (shredded green papaya salad) still packed some serious heat! Even my spice-loving kids were challenged. The server also gave us a heads-up that it's very fish-forward in flavor, which we appreciated and happened to love. The absolute standout of the meal was the Nam Khao Tod. It was hands down the family favorite--crispy coconut rice with pork sausage, crunchy peanuts, fresh herbs, and so many incredible textures and flavors in every bite. We could have ordered a second plate! We also had the Drunken Noodles with chicken, which were slightly oily in the best possible way, making them extra rich and delicious. The Chef's Special Basil Stir Fry with Crispy Pork was another winner. Our server brought over a chili vinegar that elevated the crispy pork to a whole new level--it was so good drizzled over every bite. Great food, thoughtful service, and plenty of dishes we're already looking forward to trying next time. Can't wait to come back!

Thai food was the one thing the 5 of us agreed on haha, but we were all so glad we found this place and that they still let us dine in even though we came in about 45 minutes before closing. Everything from the ka prao, to the tom yum noodle, beef rib noodle, fried chicken & rice, and tom yum fries were amazing and nothing like the usual thai flavors nor presentation we're used to. The only thing i'd skip here is the pad see ew - not because it's not good, but I just think their other dishes outshine it by far. Service was very friendly and helpful.
