They have a great variety of dishes. We had the small house salad, miso soup, mix tempura, shrimp tempura roll, crispy crunchy roll, and the Lion King Roll. Everything was super yummy and made with quality ingredients. I liked the twists they had on some of the standard rolls. They were creative without being too much. Love this place, best sushi in Tierrasanta! PROS: Decor is very nice. They always have pleasant, applicable music. There's a TV that has the main sporting events on. Nice drink selection. Kaki Sushi is a true mom and pop sushi spot with updated decor yet still cozy. I tried the teriyaki salmon bento box that came with rice, soup, salad, California roll (which I asked to be upgraded for spicy tuna for a surcharge), panko shrimp and fish. Everything was delicious from the delicate salmon that tasted charbroiled as well as the veggies under it; panko shrimp and fish both were perfectly crispy and hot; the extra $2 surcharge for the spicy tuna was absolutely worth it with how huge the rolls were!! I appreciated the nice addition of pickled cabbage on the side. We also ordered the lemon roll for $13.50 and eel roll for $7. Both were very good and huge! The salmon on the lemon roll tasted fresh although my only complaint was how there was too much artificial crab but that's a good problem for most. Service was amazing where she addressed all my little accomodations like teriyaki sauce on the side and the extra charge for tuna roll vs Cali roll. Kaki Sushi is located at the end of a strip mall in the Tierrasanta neighborhood. I visited during the pre-pandemic times and was able to enjoy a meal while dining in. The dining room is not very large and could seat roughly a couple dozen customers. A good chunk of the business was from take-out orders as folks kept coming in to pick up their food. For my meal, I ordered two hand rolls (eel and spicy tuna) for $3.95 each, a Mango Roll (California roll with yellowtail on the inside, mango cubes and scallions on the outside) for $9.50, and a Summer Roll (salmon, hamachi, tuna, imitation crab, avocado and gobo on the inside with a cucumber wrap on the outside) for $9.50. I am always fond of riceless sushi because it is less filling so the Summer Roll was my favorite of the bunch. The quality of the seafood was middle of the road while the prices were reasonable.
