I came to Pints of Joy on a Wednesday night for a late-night dessert. It was crowded and there were no seats available inside. We got the flight with gulab jamun, rose pista, Biscoff, and Alphonso mango. My ranking was Biscoff, Alphonso mango, gulab jamun, then rose pista. All the flavors were really strong and tasted like what they were supposed to taste like. The Biscoff tasted exactly how you would expect, with a very strong Biscoff flavor. The Alphonso mango also had a strong, fruity mango taste. The gulab jamun was average. It mostly tasted like vanilla with a few gulab jamun pieces in it. The rose pista was not my favorite. The rose flavor heavily overpowered the pistachio. The staff was friendly and let us sample the flavors.
Glad to have more things coming to Fremont! Pints of joy is a really cute spot with Indian inspired ice cream flavors. We tried a bunch of different things - the gulab jamun, green mango, we decided to go with mango sticky rice and bourbon toffee. They were so good! The kids scoop was perfect.

I've been in this area for Stardust Coffee and Din Ding Dumpling and never noticed the ice cream shop here until I was doing a quick search for desserts on Yelp and to my surprise here they are! Their menu is extensive. They offer a few flavors that I've seen elsewhere like lychee, strawberry, and cookies and cream but they also offer fun Indian fusion flavors for those who are branching out for something different. You can sample their flavors before making a decision and I opted for a scoop of their blueberry lavender and lychee in a split cup. Price wise - I felt like it was reasonable for the amount you get. Service was efficient and helpful and there's plenty of seats indoors and outdoors.

They legit squeeze as much as they can into the cup first and then scoop a nice circular ball on top.) +1 2. Someone's gotta check the temperature in the fridge or I'm more highly guessing something's going on with the ingredients like a chemical reaction or something because some are MELTINGLY yuck SERVICE: Annoyed af but definitely appreciate the patience. You take spoons yourself and I appreciate them giving you options (plastic vs wooden) +1 VIBEZ: Indian vibes. I don't know why. Perhaps because the owner is Indian? But I definitely love their flavors (some incorporating Indian desserts) that you will not find elsewhere. +1 Located in "downtown" Fremont near Din Din Dumpling and Slivers Pizza. Parking is rough but not impossible. Free! Gots to have patience. Easy and spacious parking spots! Would I come back? Their unique flavors certainly are on my mind. I feel if I want an adventure, I'd head on over!
I've been here a few times. Their ice cream flavors are amazing! So many tropical flavors it's hard to choose. Some of our faves: cherimoya/coconut, young coconut, chili guava. Really, I could go on. If you're near The Hub or are eating at Din Ding Fremont, make sure to stop here for dessert.

The lady helping us gave us her recommendations, and she was so right to recommend those. The flavors are so concentrated and fun and unlike flavors I've had before. Came here on a Friday night and it was fairly busy, but service was fast! I was intrigued by the blueberry lavender flavor and sampled it...very delicious! Highly recommend! We also got the cookies and cream flavor. Love their ice cream! We'll be back for sure!
I've been to their location in Sunnyvale and loved it. So while having lunch in Fremont with friends, I suggested stopping by this branch. There's a good amount of street parking available. There was a pretty long line out the door when we got there but it moved at a good pace. I tasted two flavors and went with the chili guava. My partner went with the alphonse mango. Chili guava was a very unique and delicious flavors. All of the seating was occupied because they are quite popular! So we wound up standing outside. Lovely spot and great ice cream!
I love the concept of Indian-flavored ice cream! The flavors were so creamy, unique, and delicious. I ordered the four-flavor taster, and although it looked small at first, beware--it is actually a lot! It was such a good deal and a great way to try different flavors. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the experience. I will definitely be returning for their taster again!

My wife and I split a single scoop with two flavors (extra charge). Black Sesame Crunch - nutty, with a good solid flavor. Alphonso Mango - creamy, smooth, with the sweet intense flavor of ripe mangoes. So good! Support your local business.
No wait on a weekday, service was good and we got to sample multiple flavors! There's a lot of special Indian and Asian flavors which you can't find elsewhere. There are tables inside and some outside to enjoy ice cream at.
Points of Joy in Fremont is a solid stop if you're into Indian sweets. I tried the gulabjamun, rasmalai, motichoor, and mysore pak. Rasmalai was the clear winner for me- creamy, balanced, not cloying. Gulabjamun and mysore pak held their own too, just good classic mithai flavors done right. They also offer non-Indian flavors, but I didn't try those this visit, so I stuck with the traditional lineup. The tiny packaging is great for sampling, and honestly more sweet shops should do that. Easy spot to pop into when you want a little variety without overdoing it.
Pint of Joy was SO good on a hot day! They have delicious and unique flavors--not just the same old choices you find everywhere. It was so refreshing to walk into the air-conditioned shop, see all the choices, and even taste a few before deciding! I had the Mango Sweet Rice, and my husband had a split with half Bourbon Toffee and half Salted Caramel. Everything was delicious! The lady working there was so friendly and greeted everyone who walked in. We can't wait to go back and try some new flavors! read more
Vegan review Try their alphanso (4/5), chocolate (4.5/5) and mulberry (4.5/5). Skip the mocha (1.5/5, it tasted like sweet coffee sorbet) and chickoo / sapota (2.5/5). You may try the blueberry lavender (3.5/5) but it's not that great. Suggestion: Would it be pleaseeee possible to add all your non-dairy vegan flavors for scooping as well? Not bad! Their lychee flavor is delicious. They offer ice cream to go also. It's slightly pricey to me, but I'll definitely be back. They have different unique flavors you don't see that often. I came in here with some work friends and upon entering it had quite a grand entrance. My eats included: Ube Coconut Ice Cream (5/5) Not only does this ice cream have such fun vibrant color, it also tastes amazing. I'm huge sucker for both ube and coconut so the combination of the two were delightful. Would definitely come back just for this flavor. read more
Indian, traditional, and experimental pizza places. It's in the area of downtown Fremont they are trying to build up with Raw, Din ding, etc...During warmer days we like coming here and having a little dessert from here. You can get samples of any flavor before buying and they also have a small deep freezer on the right with popsicles you can get to go. We've tried their Indian flavors such as Gulab Jamun and Meetha. Both times we told the kids something easier they could understand like "indian donuts" flavor or "ginger rose". Because of this they went crazy for flavors like the Gulab Jumun. The normal flavors like Mango and Lychee are a universal flavor on super hot days. We recently had to lychee and something and the taste was so cool and refreshing. Their experimental flavors like guava chili are excellent. I loved having the slightly spicy kick at the end of every bite of this flavor ice cream. read more

The street is pretty pleasant to walk and have ice cream too! 100% Indian flavored ice creams - while they are good, a couple of stock options like chocolate, strawberry would have also been nice. I came with a group of people (3 families) and the kids don't really dig or like motichoor, chili lime guava etc. they'd prefer a simple ice cream flavor. The place isn't really kid friendly unfortunately. The service was quick and the ice creams tasted great! This is a relatively new ice cream shop in the downtown area with other new bus is mess . Inside decoration is very cute and good ambiance. The menu with all the ice creams are clearly hanged on the wall . You can sample the ice cream before choosing a flavors. We got lychee , matcha with berry and sesame crunch . They all tasted great . They have summer flavors for seasonal only . There are also two huge refrigerators with pints of ice cream for sale . We would definitely return to try other flavors. read more

Handmade in small batches. 12 dairy & 12 non-dairy (eggless) choices. POJ evolved when co-owners lost their fintech jobs during COVID. While entertaining their kids, they developed many flavors of ice cream for them. Drill: pick cup size, taste 2 samples. Pick 2 flavas. Licks: 8.99 level, split flavors -Mocha: crushed espresso beans with a coffee shot, real chocolate used. Slight sweetness & coffee essence. Melted too quickly. Associate attributes this to production issues. Non-dairy Alphonso Mango -lst time tasting Alphonso Mango in any form. Mixed with coconut base. Sweetness natural. -Alphonso Mango seasonal available from Konkan regime of Muharashtra state, India. -definitely a favorite. 4.5 stars Worthy! Quality: excellent. Quantity: reasonable for Artisan ice cream. Parking is a problem. Parking across street behind brick walls is a parking lot shared by Mega Mart & Bikanervala eatery. read more
We decided to stop by after dinner since we were craving dessert. Very clean interior and lots of seats available. There were a lot of different options, and we even tried a couple of samples, but we ultimately decided to just get a pint of the Black Sesame Crunch. It was creamy and wasn't too sweet. Also loved the sesame seeds that were blended in. Black sesame is always a good option, especially if you're undecided. I would love to come back again since they have very unique flavors. Pints of Joy has a lot of unique Indian-inspired ice cream flavors. There was long wait during the evening hours and people were hovered around to find seating. After scooping the ice cream, another employee told the employee helping us something. The employee helping us then began taking the cups he was going to give to us and scooped ice cream out of our cups back into the serving container, which left a bad taste in my mouth. (It's not cheap ice cream and the serving size for the flight is already tiny.) I like it for its unique flavors. I don't like the stinginess of the business. The ice cream here also isn't the creamiest. Of the flavors I tried (Alphonso Mango, Chili Lime Guava, Malai Kulfi & Gulab Jamun), I only really enjoyed the Malai Kulfi. read more

Variety of flavors available here. During the last visit I tried their Dubai Kunafa Chocolate ice cream. It was good. Usually most of the flavors here feel too sweet to me but I love the Guava flavor here which has that tang + kick of mild chili. Staff helps in choosing the flavor. read more
Finally got to try the new ice cream place at fremont down town. Pints of Joy def delivers on its promise. There are a lot of more unique asian flavor, we had the black sesame crunch, mango, and chilly lime guava. The chilly lime guava is surprisingly refreshing and well executed. The black sesame crunch might be the best black sesame flavor ice cream I ever had, though a bit sweet. Alphonso Mango is more light and tangy. Def will try to come back for the other more indian flavor! read more
Oh my gosh this place is crazy busy! Came here on a Saturday night at 9pm. There was a long line, and I swear not from 9pm to closing (11pm) the line did not die. There was a constant flow of customers. Now I know why! The ice cream is really good and fresh. I'm very surprised that they had actual natural ingredients in it. I ended up getting the lychee and black sesame flavor. There was real lychee chunks in the ice cream and lots of sesame for sure in the other scoop. My only complaint is that for $6 a scoop. It's way too small. Almost want to drop a star for that, but the ice cream is super solid. Just be prepared to wait in line. Have no seating unless your super lucky. And know the portion size is on the tiny side. read more

Don't have to drive to Sunnyvale for a vegan-friendly Indian ice cream shop. I came here on their grand opening weekend. There were less people during lunch so I had a chance to sample a few flavors and went with 3 scoops of Falooda, Rose Pistachio, and Blueberry Lavender. I was also lucky to receive a free tote bag filled with sweet treats from local bakers in San Jose and a free ice cream pint to take home. My verdict: Falooda- a bit icy. I expected some toppings in there like vermicelli and sweet basil seeds. Instead it's more rose flavored Rose Pistachio- lots of pistachio bits with rose flavor yet not too sweet Blueberry Lavender- interesting combination of blueberry with lavender essence which is suitable for springtime Their ice cream was light and didn't feel bloated since there was no dairy and eggs involved. Plus it wasn't too sweet like regular ice cream parlors. I even like how clean and organized their store is. It looks small on the outside but there's enough seating. They even offer ice cream sandwiches and cakes to take home. I would come back again after a meal. read more

We love their Malai Kulfi flavor! Very taste and always brings memories of home. The service is decent, they allow 2 samples each person which is great. The ambiance and decor is good too!! Overall great place to get your cravings satisfied. read more
This ice cream shop has recently opened in Fremont Downtown Shopping District. The place is not bad though despite the size of it, but there's another location of it at Sunnyvale, which is probably their first location. I think most ice creams are gluten free. They also do splits and flights, which I think that they serve your four flavors in much smaller cups. The ice cream I had was creamy and delicious. Overall, it's a good place to stop by and eat ice cream after you're done dining in this district. read more
