We visit this little Thai restaurant every time we're in town since we don't have a decent Thai restaurant in our town. The food is great and I highly recommend the lunch special. Staff is efficient and non-intrusive. Lively vibe in this tiny dining room with a younger than average crowd. Seating can be tight when it's busy but definitely worth it for quality and price.

Came here during their lunch time and ordered the lunch special. Comes with entree and two sides. Their tom yum soup was pretty okay, my expectations were low from the reviews saying it was too watery but I found it to be okay for the price. We got the Pad See ew and pad Thai. Both were a bit sweet for our liking. The server consistently check up on us and was attentive. It's a nice spot for a quick bite between classes as it is located by Baruch or during lunch time!

Went back to dine in and it was pretty good. Definitely recommend dining in over taking out. The Thai ice tea was really good like always. Food was superb and the service was great. Overall, a good place to come to for their lunch special.

Ambient lighting. Service was good. I ordered the massaman curry with duck, which comes with a bowl of white rice. The duck skin was perfectly crispy and the meat itself was tender. There was a generous amount of duck as well. The potato was still crispy even though it was served in the curry. The curry itself was creamy and thick and very tasty albeit definitely on the sweeter side, which can get to you after eating the whole dish. The price for the food was very good even for a more expensive meat. I highly recommend this restaurant!

BYOB!!! This restaurant is so cute and I loved the plants and lights they had hanging from the ceiling. It's byob with no cork fee which is perfect. I got the pad Thai and asked for it with no red onions, but they accidentally left out the green onions as well. It wasn't a big deal though and the pad Thai still tasted delicious. It came with a good amount of noodles and chicken. The only thing I wished is it came with more sauce or added a bit more flavor to the sauce. This wasn't my favorite pad Thai since I've had more flavorful ones in the past, but overall, still yummy!

Cute ambience, cozy, and nice sit down place with a few friends, family, or date. Friendly and attentive service. The Drunken Noodles was surprisingly not wide noodles, but thin rice noodles (it did specify in the menu). This had good flavor, but I personally prefer them with wide noodles. Not anything special when it comes to Thai food, but solid quality, portions, and price!

Takeout / Delivery review: Got delivery from them via takeout as our first meal in the city. SO loved his drunken noodles with chicken - it was flavorful but not at all greasy. I loved my glass noodles with chicken for the same reason. My noodles kept well in the fridge and warmed up well in the microwave. We got the vegetable spring rolls which came with 3 pieces and were huge. Again flavorful but not greasy. We asked for some sweet and sour on the side. Finally I splurged for the fried banana with coconut icecream since it was a special occasion and it was again yummy, warm and crispy but not greasy. The icecream made it fine despite there being a heat wave which tells me the prep and delivery were quick and conscientious. Will def order from here again.

I had a great experience here and the staff was attentive. The food here is just average, but a great quantity for the price point and satisfying. I always order the Drunken Noodles at Thai restaurants because I like broad noodles, basil, and something spicy. HOWEVER, the drunken noodles here are made with thin noodles and not broad as noted on their menu. Not a deal-breaker for me, but just be aware. We dined indoors and loved the ambiance with the wooden furnishing and hanging plants. I also noticed a lot of people coming in for takeout. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place, but if you live or work nearby and happen to be craving Thai, this is a convenient place that does the job.

It is a good place for work lunch. The lunch special is about $14-$20 depending on the selected protein. It also came with selected Tom Yum soup or salad and bite size appetizer such as spring rolls, dumplings or edamame etc. The soup was so so, not in good quality. I ordered pineapple fried rice with beef (around $15 something). It was in big portion and they actually gave quite a lot of meat. I can only finish half of it and took home the rest for dinner. It is very busy during noon time and starts to wind down around 1 pm. Due to the small space, it can be loud when it is pack with customers. The services are good and fast. Worth a try if you are in the area.

Quick, affordable, delicious Thai food! They have a QR code menu, Covid compliant, and staff are wearing masks. We ordered from the lunch menu which consists of an appetizer (from 4 choices), choice of soup or salad and an entree - noodles, rice, or curry with a variety of protein choices. I had the steamed dumplings, salad, panang curry with fried chicken tender, and a Thai iced tea. The fried chicken hits the spot! Very crispy and tender. My partner had the fried seafood gyoza, soup, red curry with crispy fuck and a Thai iced tea. His curry was delicious. Would definitely visit again!

Little Basil feels like the little engine that could in Murray Hill/Kips Bay. It's my go-to takeout spot and has some of the best pad thai in the city. It's very charming inside too! Service is always super friendly and appreciative of business too.

Great Thai food and amazing portions! Ordered takeout from Little Basil and was amazed by how delicious the food was and how generous the portions are. They have lot of vegan friends options and delicious dishes for meat eaters as well. I arrived early to pick up the food, but the staff were very kind and allowed me to wait while they quickly prepared my order. The restaurant is tiny, but cozy. Would love to dine in sometime in the future. Must try: CHIVE PANCAKES, omg so good. These pancakes are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The dipping sauce is perfectly sweet and salty. By far one of my favorite Thai dishes and a great appetizer. BASIL FRIED RICE, very flavorful and filling. With a variety of protein options to have in the rice. KUAGLING OVER RICE, Little Basil offers a generous portion of pork ribs over rice and a runny egg. The damage: $112 total minus tax and tip. 2 fried chive pancakes, little fried Basil rice, mock duck dish, kua gling over rice, green curry, and duck spicy Basil.

Chicken Singapore noodles, seafood gyoza, side salad
    Escaped G.

I popped in here on a whim and I'm glad I did, because it's a really nice cozy little place. I got the Singapore noodle lunch special with complimentary seafood gyoza and a side salad topped with a really nice peanut vinaigrette. I didn't see cocktails listed, so I got a lemon iced tea, the only thing I wasn't crazy about (it tasted ok but was clearly a Nestea type mix, not actual Thai tea). I will definitely come back again if I'm in the area.

We were greeted by very friendly staff members who, despite our early arrival, worked hard to get us seated as quickly as possible. The space's vibe is exactly what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Times Square area -- dimly lit, but everything was still visible, not too much noise while extremely busy, and very cozy atmosphere made super pleasant from such attentive, kind staff members. I was especially impressed by our server, Leena, who checked in with us regularly, gave excellent recommendations, and was clearly concerned about giving us an amazing experience. My wife and I ordered one of the seasonal offerings--a sweet and savory fruit salad--that was the perfect start to our meal. I ordered the massaman, and it was easily the best massaman curry I've ever had in the United States. Perfect spice level, the chicken fell right off the bone (even my wife, a vegetarian, commented on how clean the bones looked after I removed the meat), and the mixture of textures and flavors with the lotus seeds and onions really created the perfect dish. I am craving it just sitting here and writing this review! Prices? Honestly, I couldn't imagine a fairer deal given the quality of the food and service we received. I was utterly blown away. I cannot recommend Mitr Thai enough! I can't wait to return next time I'm in the city!
