I had been to the Piola in midtown and my 1st time to memorial location. Restaurant ambiance is ok, service was good but food wasn't impressive at all. I remembered the one in midtown was good but I haven't been there for a while . Wonder if the food quality goes down?? We had a group of 8 so we ordered pretty much of a varieties but none of them I tasted would want me to come back for more

had a great experience at Piola Houston Memorial! The service was excellent--friendly and attentive staff made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a night out. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Everything we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for great Italian food in a relaxed setting.

Good food and really amazing service! Food came out quickly and was tasty! We got the chicken Parm, cannareggio, garlic knots, and chocolate pizza which my daughter loved! Will come back to try more. The wait staff were really attentive and nice.

The pizza here is great, I like that they share some of the same ingredients as the original Brazilian pizzas. The catupry tastes really good, and my hubby enjoyed trying out Guaraná for the first time. Will be trying out again

Fantastic Rio de Janeiro Pizza togo !!!

I ordered one of my favorite pizzas here togo on Monday afternoon being the Rio de Janeiro Pizza. Love this one and both margherita pizzas here a lot. Very delicious, good quality, really moist without being all greasy and superb in all aspects of the whole pizza pie. The crust was tasty on its own, flaky, thin with some slight sogginess to it, but also a bit puffy towards the edges with some crisp. The red sauce was a little tangy, tomatoey, not real sweet and had a good texture. The cheese was savory, rich and flavorful with an ideal level of salt content. The cream cheese blotches were really good with the shredded chicken and rest. I am not typically a big fan of cream cheese given cold or used in icing, but in or with warm hot meals can be a real win imo. The shredded chicken itself on this pizza was very juicy, plentiful and tasted very "poultryish" if that makes sense. The chicken flavor had a lot of punch to it, due to being organic quality and / or marinated well. Great, friendly service on this visit. Piola is also one of the very rare places down here along with Romano's, Luigi's and Frank's that sells pizza very similar to a great one you could find way up in N Y C. Love the pizzas, gnocchi and desserts from this restaurant.

The service can be a hit or a miss at this location depending on what time of the week you go. Their Italian margarita cocktail is delicious, but the aperol spritz missed the mark and was watered down alcohol with lots of simple syrup. My go to pizzas here are Regina margarita, diavola, and funghi misti. The diavola is spicy salami and I love the heat with the cheese and crust ratio. The Regina margherita pizza is better than regular margherita pizza. The mushroom pizza is perfect on days when you're not feeling like eating meat pizza that is still hearty. I have also tried their profiteroles, and I'll have to pass on that next time because the choux pastry was not crispy or warm. They served it cold, so the pastry shell was tough and the chocolate sauce wasn't hot/warm either.

Moderna and Dessert Pizza to go

Thoughtful combinations! I chose the Moderna Pizza and Nutella Pizza and decided on takeout. When opening the box I was initially skeptical (especially given the price) but the pizza was delicious. It held its structure without being too thick and the toppings combination was simple yet surprisingly sophisticated. Try this spot for date night. It somehow captures both fullness and vibrancy of a larger restaurant while remaining intimate and quiet. P.S. I struggled loading the menu online. If you're struggling too, I've included the menu below P.S.S. Our round 2 of takeout was just as tasty as the 1st

Gnocchi with 4 cheese sauce. It was AMAZING!!!!

Wow, we are here visiting and wanted Italian food. What an excellent choice to come here. I got the pineapple mint juice to drink. Very fresh mint and yummy. Then I got the gnocchi which was out of this world! My husband got the lasagna and said it was the best, most authentic lasagna he's had since he was a kid and his friend's Italian mom used to make it. Five star for sure. Felipe was an awesome waiter.

I was happy to find Piola had a location here while visiting Houston; however, this location literally impressed me even though I'm know the restaurant name. The decoration in this Piola es very different, looked quite modern, and the ambience feels fresher. We went for gnocchi day, which happens on the 29th of every month and I had never been to, wait time was none, parking was easy as they are located in a plaza. The experience consists of paying one price per person for unlimited gnocchi , similar to a rodizio concept, which I though was cool. My favorites were the salmon, the prosciutto, the bologna se and the four cheese; however, they have over 10 different kinds of gnocchi styles I can't remember the names of the other ones. For desserts I recommend the profiteroles, never had tried them and I loved the mix with the Icecream. Every bite was fresh, and servers were crenels attentive and courteous. Definitely a "must visit" while in Houston.
