Genneth is fantastic! We purchased two Barongs from Pioneer Tailor & Alterations at the end of last year for our wedding. Genneth helped us get fitted and the quality of the Barongs was incredible. The intricacy & detailing of the designs was very impressive. We received so many compliments from our friends & family! Highly recommend Pioneer Tailor & Alterations or any of your Barong needs.

All I can say are amazing praises for this place! Genneth went above and beyond the normal repairs on my poor jeans. I ripped my pocket off my favorite pair of jeans and she patched it up like it never even happened! My pocket was literally off my pants and I never would have thought it would look this great again. Hands down one of the more genuine tailor around. She really cares for her work and IT SHOWS!! And the cherry on top, it was a quick turnaround too! Amazing work and genuinely a very kind person!

Needed a barong for a light-hearted funeral which meant rushing an order (processing time usually takes a few weeks here) and the owner accommodated our request anyway! The service was fun, quick, and includes a white t-shirt with your order. You won't find a better selection of barong tagalogs in the area than here.

Genneth is awesome. I told her I Love Barong's and I admire her work. She explained to me the different quality of barong's that she has. The Piña Silk is my favorite so smooth and the designs are amazing with front and back detail depending on you and what she has available. Going here is very welcoming and if you love the culture of being filipino and wearing a barong, this is the place to be. It's in San Francisco and I wish I came here long time ago. The one thing I learned is she can tailor your long sleeve barong into a short sleeve. I will be coming back here to get one done. It makes me excited when I see the different versions and colors. Fun Fact: Family Business which was passed down by her Dad. I Love the stories and the blessings that came along with it. So humbled to hear stories like Genneth. I would love to have a business like this.

I appreciate the fact that she loves her craft. I appreciated a couple things: - she's created her own bag for the barong to protect it from moths and preserve its use - she has a strong recommendation of what under shirt to wear to make sure that the shirt is not ruined - she created all her barongs herself and made them all European style for a better look and fit - teaches you how to take it on and off - her craft has been passed down through her family The barong I bought was Class 2+ with a mandarin collar and I received many compliments!

Tita Gina helping us make the sale! Put it in a nice cover as well as steam to take out creases :) Salamat po!

Tita Gina I believe she said was her name. She is awesome! Does her own designs and has many selections of barongs for men, women and kids. She helped my boyfriend pick out the barong Tagalog and even helped put it on as there should be a certain way. I will definitely recommend anyone to Tita Gina! She has a friendly dog as well.

I ended up being charged more than the quoted amount and had to bring my dress back a few times because she missed some basic things. I don't think the person whos doing alterations there is still there so perhaps this review is quickly outdated, but I would say there's definitely not the kind of attention to detail I would have appreciated being at this price point and for this kind of thing where attention to detail for wedding dresses is so important. Every time I've been there, there's been some brides trying on beautiful gowns, so it seems like they have a good selection of dresses if that's what you're in the market for!

First of all, PLEASE make an appointment with them. They have a small staff, and are quite busy accommodating brides! I was incredibly lucky to be greeted by Seneca, who after listening to my sob story offered to squeeze me in for an afternoon appointment to try a couple sample dresses I'd seen listed on Stillwhite. She was such a sweetheart, and when I returned for my appointment, had the two dresses I'd requested pulled, as well as a few others of the similar style. Although I didn't have a group with me, Seneca was incredibly patient and supportive while I mulled over the dresses, and hyped me up to fall in love with my original vision. Some of the sample dresses being sold are quite affordable for the budget conscious bride which was a huge plus! Additionally, I've seen fantastic reviews about their in house alterations. Highly recommend whether you're lost in your wedding dress search, or if you want an exceptional experience picking exactly what you want!

During my initial consultation, Nancy took the time to understand what I liked about my inspiration and helped me think through the possibilities of a custom gown. The final design ultimately became a beautiful blend of my ideas and the team's expertise, and it felt completely like me. From there, I worked primarily with Alison and the rest of the team throughout the design and production process. They were thoughtful, communicative, and incredibly accommodating every step of the way. They shared progress photos along the way, and when we realized there was a mismatch between how I had interpreted part of the sketch and how it was being executed, Alison immediately jumped on a call to listen to my feedback and help adjust the design. I always felt heard and supported, and it was clear that everyone genuinely cared about getting the dress right. The craftsmanship and quality were exceptional. I chose a custom gown with mikado silk, a square neckline, pockets, a full skirt, and a long train with buttons down the back, and every detail was beautifully executed. Even more impressive, the dress fit perfectly despite measurements being taken about eight months before the wedding. I fully expected I'd need alternations closer to the wedding date, but the only alteration I ended up needing was adding a bustle. On the wedding day, I felt confident, comfortable, and completely myself. Looking back at our photos nearly a year later, I still love every detail. If you're considering a custom wedding dress, I highly recommend Lace & Liberty for their craftsmanship, communication, and genuine care throughout the entire process.

That concept really stood out to me, so I scheduled an online consultation with high hopes. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to expectations. I met with Ali in March, and after the appointment, I realized that many of the 1-star reviews I had seen mentioning similar concerns were not isolated. Throughout the consultation, her tone came across as condescending and indifferent. As someone who has never been married or shopped for a wedding dress before, I naturally wasn't familiar with all the bridal terminology. Instead of guiding me through the process, she seemed irritated when I didn't know certain terms and made me feel uncomfortable for asking basic questions. At one point, I calmly mentioned that Lace and Liberty was just one of several options I was exploring, hoping it might shift the tone of the conversation--but it didn't. The interaction remained tense, and it became clear that this wasn't going to be a supportive or enjoyable experience. Wedding dress shopping should feel exciting, special, and fun--not stressful or discouraging. Because of this experience, I chose to go elsewhere, and I'm so glad I did--I ended up finding my dream dress in a much more positive and uplifting environment. If you're looking for a more welcoming and enjoyable experience, I would recommend checking out Janene's Bridal or Trudy's Bridal, where the atmosphere felt far more supportive and aligned with what dress shopping should be.

I'm beyond grateful that I didn't. If you are looking for a personable, intentional, and truly exclusive experience full of unique dresses, this is the place to go. Marina curates every single dress in her shop herself, and it shows. She knows exactly what she has and listens to what you're looking for. My favorite part of working with Marina is that she wastes no time. We had a detailed consultation and went straight into trying on dresses. She guided the process so effortlessly--pulling styles, letting me react, and identifying what I liked and didn't like about each dress. Every minute felt purposeful. She could tell right away if I wasn't in love with the dress and she narrowed it down with each try. We got closer and closer until we found the one! The dress was completely unexpected and not at all what I thought I wanted. It was straight off the runway, and somehow--with Marina's magic touch--I squeezed into a size 00. When I walked out of the dressing room, I knew immediately. There was no doubt. That moment alone was worth everything. I bought the dress that day. Marina took my measurements on the spot, and it arrived months ahead of my destination wedding. Throughout the process, she emailed me updates and checked in, which gave me so much peace of mind. I ultimately ended up getting my veil there as well because I trusted her eye completely. What truly sets Marina apart is the value she provides beyond the dress itself--her expertise, efficiency, and her care. You're not just paying for a gown; you're investing in confidence, clarity, and an experience that saves you time, stress, and second-guessing. Marina made the entire process stress-free, efficient, and genuinely special. I felt seen, supported, and taken care of in ways that other shops didn't. I am incredibly grateful for her and cannot recommend Bridal Breeze enough. Thank you Marina!! You've helped me in so many more ways than you know.

Seriously I am so overjoyed and cannot wait to wear my dress at my upcoming wedding!! I was introduced to her by a friend who bought 3 wedding dresses from her and I was floored to see how beautiful and quality they were without costing an arm and a leg and 2 Bay Area mortgages. It was a no-brainer for me to contact Judy! Overall Thought: Judy is very professional from beginning to end. Booking an appointment was easy. When I got to her studio, she was very friendly in greeting me yet very efficient, clear, and honest in asking about my vision, budget, timeline, and how we can make that happen together. After the initial visit, she was very responsive via email, and I was never left unsure about what the next step was. A super great bonus is that she is very supportive and encouraging in discussing my ideas for the dress and coming up with the design. I cannot emphasize enough how positive she made me feel throughout the design process. She was gushing over the different ideas I brought up like a very excited maid of honor! But was also realistic and honest with ideas that she thought would not have worked. Process Details: Judy offers a few different design/manufacturing/budget options, so there's a good chance that she will have something that fits your need and vision. You can get off-the-rack gowns, or pick from an existing design and she'll make a dress to fit you (either Judy's own or certain other designers' designs), or she can help you design a brand new gown from scratch. The last option is what I went with. My design was fairly simple, and she recommended some manufacturing options that could help me stay within budget. This was the perfect solution for me! I wanted a custom design, but another local designer I contacted was out of my budget range even though my design was super simple. I found a few overseas designers/manufacturers who could help create a custom design and ship the final product to me, but I was apprehensive to work with them since they cannot take my measurements, work with me in person during the design process, and provide a final fitting service unless I can make an international trip to see them. Judy was the perfect happy medium that did not compromise on design and quality! We started by having a one hour meeting where she listened to my ideas, reviewed reference photos, showed me fabric swatches, took my measurements, and sketched designs. She then sent a summary email of the design, and we corresponded via email and at a second meeting to make some adjustments until we arrived at a final illustration. Judy was very meticulous in following the details we discussed and the details that I did not have the expertise to request. For example, the types of hooks and zippers used, the linings, and the silicone liners to hold up the top, etc. Nothing was overlooked. My dress turned out even better than I had hoped for, with me having to do almost zero work after we agreed on the design and fabric. I received multiple photos to confirm the final product. And I asked a LOT of questions, all of which she answered with patience. The dress arrived within the expected timeframe, and Judy did a final fitting with me. The hip area was too narrow (which she fixed without a hitch and I came back to pick it up later), but otherwise, the dress fitted like a glove! She even helped me match my dress with the veils and gloves that I bought separately. All in all, I would 10/10 recommend her to any future brides I know! It was not only a successful process but also a genuinely pleasant one!

They have some truly unique selections and a wide, inclusive array. I absolutely love that they seem fair to brides reselling on consignment, as well as helpful to brides that are on a budget. My first visit was with Emilie, who took a great deal of time asking about my wedding, vibe, vision, etc. - then taking note of what I liked and disliked to make thoughtful "pulls". Aliyah was also sweet and not pushy on my second visit. It was just a little tough that the ones that were the "right" size numerically had been altered (understandably) by the bride that wore it before you. So it becomes sort of an esoteric search and hopefully right find for something that fits both the style and sizing you want - otherwise you're looking at lots of alterations costs tacked on, which frankly to me, felt like I should go for new instead.
