Meh. Like pulling teeth with this guy. At first I thought the guy was pleasant enough. Timely. Respectful. He was mostly positive about the situation with my water heater. Reluctantly at first, he tried a couple of options to troubleshoot and ended up having to replace the whole unit. Not ideal, however the plumber was able to replace the water heater in a day. He came back after the initial inspection the next morning with a new heater and got to work right at the time he told me he would arrive. Punctual. He did his work, I paid the man, and he went on his way. After inspection of the work he performed I saw what he had done to make my water heater fit inside the unique space we have; he installed it wedged on an angle against my furnace so that I can't perform maintenance on my furnace. When I asked him to come back and take a look at it and help me with solutions, he gave me a whole bunch of attitude about how the space doesn't work and that we shouldn't bother because that's how the heater fits. Now he wants to charge me $500 to come and take a look at his previous work. Hmmm. read more

Mac was here working on an emergency repair which was a colossal mess with water spraying all over me like a fire hose and me trying to remember where the water shut off was located. To make matters worse my alarm was going off during the whole incident. All I did was lightly pull on a patio garden hose and within seconds the pipe disintegrated. I have never felt so much panic in my life! Who in the world would ever anticipate a massive flood happening in their lifetime? Mac had me take photos of the pipes and came right over all prepared to quickly tackle the job. After Mac finished the emergency repair, I asked if he could please also take a minute to figure out how to stop my garden hoses in the backyard from dripping water. He was unable to finish up, so he came all the way back over the next day to repair my dripping hoses. He is very polite, hardworking and a kind hearted person. You will enjoy having him over for a visit, even if he is from Florida and not a local. I will certainly call him next time I need a good plumber to help me out. Strong recommendation for the Pipe Whisperer - Mac. I am a retired General Contractor-I know many subcontractor plumbers. When I recently had a crack (which I exposed by pulling paneling in my living room) in the main waste stack (100 year old cast iron pipe) I called around for bids; some to plumbers I knew some to others who had good recs. This was a medium sized job but complicated, between floors etc. Mac was in the final two who appeared competent and answered the right way to all questions-he was also 25% less expensive. He performed the job in a correct and timely fashion but what stood out was his straightforwardness, conscientiousness, an honesty. You have to trust your subcontractors.
