These folks are truly terrific. Because plumbing is often an emergency, the ability to just pop in to put a thumb in the metaphoric levee, until they can get in and do the larger fix is key. I was previously a big fan of Eric Brand Plumbing, and had highly recommended them to neighbors, based on experiences with them in replacing shower valves/fixtures and toilet valves. I've noticed that more recently their level of responsiveness has declined, e.g. phone calls not returned, which I understand may be due to illness and short staffing. My primary reason for decreasing enthusiasm for this business is the recent experience we had with fixing a broken bathroom sink stopper. At a service call in July we were advised that we would need to find the replacement part ourselves because it's too much time and effort for them to source this type of part. As a homeowner who bought this house with this sink, and zero knowledge about plumbing parts and fixtures, it's impossible for me to find the part. Which they understand, but too bad for you homeowner. My husband ordered what he thought would be a workable replacement stopper. It turned out not to be the right one. They had to replace the entire drain assembly because the plumbing supply store didn't have a replacement drain stopper that would fit. The new drain is visibly mismatched to the second sink in this bathroom, with over a quarter inch difference in size. Their suggestion was that if I don't like the mismatched look, I can pay for another service call and the parts to replace the original fully functional drain assembly with a new one to match the (smaller) one they just installed. I'd call them again to replace a garbage disposal, or a toilet flush valve where the aesthetics don't matter and all I need is a functional part. I won't call them if I need someone willing to help guide me with a product choice. read more

After using some Liquid Plumber that was probably left in the pipe too long, we noticed a leaking hole in the pipe underneath the kitchen sink. Based on great reviews I read on NextDoor, I called and left Eric Brand Plumbing a message at 9:30 PM on a Saturday night. Eric sent me a text the next Sunday morning at 7:30 AM saying he could be over in about an hour. He quickly replaced the broken pipe at very reasonable rate (half of what I thought he could charge). Eric also let us know that the primary reason the drain wasn't flowing down as quickly as it could be was because the kitchen remodel we had done 15 years ago was done improperly with the pipes underneath the sink not being positioned correctly. It turns out the contractors we had used 15 years ago positioned the undersink piping too high and because of physics, the water draining from the sink did not do so optimally. Because the initial leaking pipe problem was solved, we set up another appointment for a few days later to deal with the incorrect pipe positioning issue. Eric came over and was soon able to see why the old contractors did what they did (they were too lazy to remove an obstruction in the wood framing that was in the way of where the piping should have been installed. Instead, they built above it, which caused the slow drain issue). Eric removed the obstruction and expertly installed the needed pipes. The kitchen sink now drains fast and the way it was designed. We are very happy with Eric's work and again his rates are very reasonable. We will definitely be calling Eric again for any plumbing issues. read more

We had a clog in the pipes somewhere inside the wall in a bathroom, and it was causing the sink to fill with water. We attempted to get it out ourselves with a cheap rotary auger from Amazon, but the auger got stuck in the pipe. EBP came over and got the auger out, and now the sink drains normally. They were easy to work with and charged us for 1 hour. Would recommend. read more

We had a terrible experience with Lowes for our toilet replacement project and we're desperately looking for a plumber who could source us top of the line toilets, remove our existing toilets, and complete the installation. One of my bathroom sinks was clogging and as well as, a showers was not consistent with the hot water. Eric was very accommodating and came out early the next morning. He fixed my sink and was honest about my options to fix my shower. He gave me a great cost saving measure to fix my shower. He explained that my shower has a 15 year warranty and I'd save about $90 dollars by getting the part directly from the company. His rates are reasonable for the excellent service he provides. I used Eric several months back to replace a 10ft. length of original out flow pipe in my 80 year old home. I had called other plumbers for estimates. 2 came out gave estimates and left me feeling uncomfortable with even letting them touch my plumbing. One that I had used on other occasions and had been very pleased with wouldn't come look at the situation but had me email him photos and then took almost a month with my begging to get back with me with an outrageous estimate. Eric came out the day after I called him, was very clear in his advice as to how to complete the work without adding on all kinds of things that really didn't need to be done. He also gave an estimate that was very reasonable. He left me with a feeling that he was honest and could be trusted to do a good job thus I decided to have him do the job.
