Had a fantastic dinner here on Friday evening. Started with drinks at the bar, great bartender, then moved to our table upstairs on the outside patio. It was a nice, cool evening so it was perfect to dine outside. We had a great server, Chloe, who was friendly and attentive & made sure our dining experience was perfect all around. We had the Chicken Caprese Sandwich and the Lamb Burger, both excellent and the Cheese Curds were addicting. Highly recommend the King Estate Pinot Grigio, so light and refreshing. The ambiance is great here, clean restaurant throughout and very attentive staff all around. Highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back soon!! read more

This was our second visit. We were greeted right away and seated in a booth by the friendly hostess. The table was dirty so we used our napkin to clean it up. We remember loving the cheese curds the first time but weren't sure about the rest. I ordered the beet salad and was offered protein to top it so I chose chicken breast. The curds were great and the salad was ok. So much lettuce compared to the other ingredients. It's a beet salad and there weren't many beets. The chicken was not good - lukewarm at best and very dry. Cold chicken would have worked for me but not the in between that I got. Got the feeling it wasn't fresh. I would have told our server so I could maybe get a different piece but she never came by until we were ready to leave. Randy ordered the southern fried chicken sandwich with an extra side of the aoli. He said it was ok, nothing special about it. His chicken was juicy and thick, though. We ate inside and it's a neat environment. I don't think we will go back. read more

Pipeline has a very cool location and building. The cheese curds were good I'd give them a 6.5 out of 10. The lord of the rings burger definitely disappointed, it says onion rings piled high and I had to look to see if there was onion rings on it, which there was not just sautéed onions. It was also very salty. I give it a 3.5/10 The widow burger was a vast improvement over the lord of the rings it was decent and I'd give it a 5/10 better than in-n-out but not great. The duck fries would've been really great. Have they not been over salted I'd give them a 4/10 have they not been way over salted I probably would've given them a 7/10 Also, the way they have the water sitting on the table is cool, but it is warm. It would've been nice to have had a cup of ice brought to you for your water. I was pretty unimpressed for $63 read more

We went here for a casual work lunch, the atmosphere was really nice and clean. Exposed brick and wood beams. They do not take reservations and the place isn't huge. We had 7 of us and I think we may have taken their biggest spot available inside, maybe 8. But that was inside I'm not sure what they could accommodate on their outside patio area, but again they don't take reservations so you'd have to time it just right! Everyone enjoyed their meal, I got the seared ahi tuna salad bowl. No one had any complaints! read more

Maybe half a pear, not lush and ripe, but stiff and thinly sliced. I tasted Gorgonzola once in a bite and bacon once. I think the candied walnuts were the sprinkling of dust on the top. Not sure if I identified the balsamic vinaigrette. But boy did I get greens! $18 worth. read more

Excellent burgers. Fantastic Duck Fat Fries. Plenty on tap. I asked a local peer of mine and they said this was the best place for a burger lunch in town. My experience leaves me with no reason to doubt his taste! Really enjoyed everything! There is minimal seating so you may want to make a reservation if you want a booth. read more

The local beer from Fall River was delicious. I hae the Bahn Mi sandwich which was outstanding and my husband had the Philly cheese steak and it too was impressive. First time eating here, we've done the Mt Shasta locations many times. Came in on our bikes, nice bike parking right out the front door. Of course everything is brand new and very nice, two story with bar seating on both levels. They also offer some outside seating. Menu on par with the first location. Ahi sandwich for me and a vegi burger for the wife. Both were excellent. I upgraded to the duck fries for my side, do the upgrade if you like rosemary and cheese on your fries. I could come here for a few beers and the duck fries alone! Huge staff and great service. Redding really is a hub for great locations to eat...especially the downtown area. Well done. read more

Second visit, a Friday at noon, sat upstairs at the only open table, no mention that we couldn't sit there because it was a 6-top. We sat at the same table on our first visit. My friend had arrived early and already had a glass of wine. When I sat, I waited more than 10 minutes for the server/bartender to notice. BTW, there was no one at the bar and only 1 other table and 2 couples seated at the counter overlooking the downstairs. Bartender did some cleaning while I waited. Ordered my wine and we ordered food at the same time. My wine arrived about 30 seconds before the food. My Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich and my friend's GOAT Burger were both good. Chicken sandwich was extremely drippy, too much dressing. Fries were good. Prices are reasonable. My friend's 2nd glass of wine was served promptly. We were still picking at our fries when the bartender asked if she could take our plates away. We said not yet. She came by again in about 2 minutes and we asked for Togo boxes which she brought immediately. She picked up our plates about a minute later, took away my wine glass but didn't ask if I wanted another one. I poured myself more water while my friend finished her wine. Bartender magically appeared immediately and took away her glass and both our napkins. We commented to each other that it seemed rude, like she was rushing us out. Same thing happened on our first visit, same bartender. A different server (maybe manager) came to our table and asked us to move to the bar because there was a party of six waiting for this table. She offered to comp a glass of wine for each of us. We said no and left. My friend didn't want a 3rd and I was uncomfortable with the rushing episode. EASY FIX: if you need to save a particular table for larger parties, put a sign on it! NICER FIX: if you want to reseat a party, offer to move them plus the comped item(s) before making it unpleasant by bussing the table down to the napkins while a customer is still enjoying a paid-for beverage! and not offering anything additional (like a 2nd glass of wine for me). It's so simple to manage traffic flow in a restaurant, but to make customers feel unwelcome, huh. NOTE: restaurant needs to put an Exit Only sign by the outside stairs so customers don't get to the top and then see the sign on the door. So simple. read more

This is our second time here and we have not been disappointed. Right off the bat the parking is super easy. Well lit parking lot and safe. The location is great to downtownRedding. Then you get to the building itself. What can I say, if you're looking for a place with unique ambience this is it. The brick, the wood, the metals, this design and decor is exceptional and makes for a great backdrop for meals shared and memories made. And not to be outshine by the building the staff are amazing, attentive and friendly. And finally, the most important part-the food. We have had their duck fat fries, amazing, fried cheese curds also very good, burgers have been excellent, the Ruben is very very good and their salads are yummy! The first night we ate here they had a Guinness chocolate cake that was awesome! This is one of only a few five star reviews that I've given and it's been worth every star! read more

Really enjoyed my first time. From first walking in I was greeted with a smile. Everyone clean cut and friendly. Lunch prices where more than I normally spend for lunch, but quality, quantity was there. I really liked the way they serve ice water in a bottle, so you can refill without waiting. Knowing the building was built from the bricks of the old Police Station was very cool. The floor to ceiling windows on the east side were great. The place has a historic but yet modern vibe. Nice restaurant in downtown Redding with a good selection of burgers and sandwiches. They have a great selection of beer and wine, should one wish to have a drink. We ordered the Widow burger and the Reuben. The waitress was great and the food came out quickly. The restaurant takes the Reuben in a slightly different direction with an aioli in place of the normal condiment and a unique flavor profile on the sauerkraut. If you go in the summer be aware there is a definite temperature difference in the restaurant between the first and second floor. The first floor was cool but the second floor felt warm and a portable a/c unit it is hooked up by the bar but doesn't keep up as well as they may have intended. Overall, this is a nice restaurant and would be on a recommendation list. read more

The past 2 times we waited for a table, told them we wanted a table & they tried seating is at the bar top upstairs. They need to do away with that bar top & put in more tables. Gotta say that when they seated us inside and we specifically requested outside I was not impressed. When we arrived the wait time was not bad but there were empty tables everywhere, so what the heck? But Hillary was ABOVE top notch! She moved us quickly outside to a beautiful rooftop table.
