There was a private parking lot. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. You place your order at the counter and it is brought to your table. Our waitress was friendly and informative. The appetizers came out quickly. We had mozzarella sticks and meatballs. Both were excellent. We tried 3 kinds of pizza: Sausage&onion, Vodka, and pepperoni. We loved the pepperoni the best. Not only was it delicious, there were stacks of pepperoni cups. The Vodka pizza was tasty, allowing the flavor of the crust to shine. The sausage & onion was ok, but I prefer larger pieces of sausage to crumbles. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will return and try different pizzas and the calzones.

The pizza was definitely a few notches above the average pizza parlor. One of the best slices I've had in my life. I love the fresh basil and pesto on the Tie Dye Pizza

Classic New York style tile entrance and floor.

Came back to New York State after 22 years in Florida for my Erzats Goddaughters wedding. Poughkeepsie. It's rare that I travel back to New York. It's very rare that I go out to eat. Ever more so for Italian food. Even MORE SO for pizza. So to humor my wife because she said she was craving pizza we asked and Googled and came up with Pipinelli's. Previous 44 years in NY. Between Brooklyn and Long Island. Half way out, Port Jefferson area. Been making pizza for 54 years. Owned 4 pizzerias restaurants and two more that were restaurants only. 3 in NY, 3 in Florida. It was a 25 minute drive. Believe me! It was worth it. A little unconventional set up but super nice place, great atmosphere. Friendly help, very knowledgeable and professional looking as well. Not as common as you might think these days. Clean cut, presentable. You We ordered a couple of regular slices, and a slice of "Tie Dyed". Which had vodka sauce, regular pizza sauce, fresh mozzarella, pesto, and fresh basil. Fresh basil is always a good sign, especially when they use it liberally but not overused. A couple of Pepsi's too. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Perfectly baked crust, thin and crispy. It's needless to say, but I'm gonna say it anyway. And I'm not comparing this to my Pizza because it's practically impossible for somebody else to make a pizza you are going to like better than your own. But, this pizza was as good as the pizzas I got in Brooklyn when I was growing up. Before the industry got a hold of it as an idea and tried to improve upon it with mass production and modern scientific techniques and chemically produced and modified products. No bleached, high gluten flour. Only Sicilian olive oil and imported Italian tomatoes. Not that there aren't great pizzas out there that are made in the modern way. But this place, simply put, does not disappoint in anyway. They also have a nice selection of items other than pizza. A nice menu. A great selection of desserts (homemade fresh, daily),beverages, including glass bottle, Pepsi, Stewart's sodas in a glass bottle, and even though I don't drink it, a great a find. Manhattan, special espresso soda. These guys got everything perfect. They dotted every i and crossed every t perfectly. I may never come back to Poughkeepsie, but I will never forget Pipinelli's Pizza Place

Friendly staff, and the pizza was delicious. I really enjoyed the pistachio gelato too

We stopped here on the way to the airport and were immediately amazed with the customer service. John and Brady were phenomenal. We ordered the small Italian club with Chicken cutlet and the Vittorio. We also got a large Muffaletta with the olive salad on the side, pesto chips, mixed pickled veggies salad and a cannoli. We wanted to change since we were going to the airport so we had to use the restroom. That's where we encountered John. He is such a lovely man. He was so sweet and I enjoyed our conversation. My sister was throughly impressed with Brady's customer service. He made her feel at home and was very friendly. All of our food was good. They devoured the veggie salad on the car ride to the airport and we ate some of the sandwiches too. The portions are big and you can share. The 3 sandwiches we got were plenty for our family of 6 plus leftovers. Rossi Rosticceria Deli 45 S Clover St Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 (Review 50 in 2025 and 893 overall)

It is located on a back street with not much activity, and I was able to find parking quickly, which is key when you are on a work break. As soon as I walked in, the smells and sights of an authentic Italian deli were exactly what you hope for. There is a menu with plenty to choose from and a pastry case that I already know I will be coming back to try next time. I went with the Blue Ribbon panini, and in about ten minutes I had a hefty sandwich wrapped and ready to go. When I sat down to eat and picked it up, it did not disappoint. Chicken cutlet, ham, honey mustard, roasted tomatoes, Swiss cheese, and great bread. Everything blended together perfectly. On the first bite, the chicken cutlet burned my mouth in the best way possible. The tomatoes and honey mustard tied it all together and made it incredibly satisfying. I could only eat half because it was such a heavy sandwich. My dad finished the other half and shared the same appreciation for a really good panini. The next time I am working nearby, I know exactly where I am going, and I will definitely be trying the cannoli and the black and white cookies. 5 out of 5 stars.

My order was receiving mixed reviews: the salad I got was very small and the bowl did not allow for mixing, so a messy endeavor at best. The staff is really friendly, so the service hits a five. Loss of stars is for the price and the inconsistent quality of the ingredients.

I'm so glad I found this spot--it was exactly what I needed to reset. Food: 4/5 I ordered an ahi tuna poke bowl and a smoothie, and overall, it hit the mark. The tuna wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was still solid--fresh enough and well-balanced with the toppings. The smoothie, though, was delicious. I'd honestly come back just for that alone--it was cooling, clean, and packed with flavor. Atmosphere: 5/5 The interior design here is beautiful--very calm, airy, and just a peaceful place to sit for a bit. It felt like the kind of space where you could relax, journal, or just quietly enjoy a meal without the bustle of a typical café. Really appreciated that. Service & Price: This is more of a counter-service place--order at the front and grab a seat. No complaints there; everything came out pretty quickly and the staff was kind. As far as price goes: yes, it's on the higher end. A bowl + smoothie can easily run you over $30 which feels like a lot when compared to, say, a hearty Italian sandwich around the corner. But I get it--healthy food often just costs more. For me, it was worth it this time around. Overall: If you're in the area and looking to take a break from heavier meals, this is a lovely spot. It's not a cheap bite, but it's fresh, clean, and satisfying. I'll definitely be back for a smoothie if I'm nearby.

We were seated in the back near the pizza oven, which ended up being the best seat in the house because we got to meet Austin. He was absolutely fantastic. The energy, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality he brought to the experience made the evening so special. Mike was our server and he was also wonderful, checking in often and making sure everything was perfect. They had unfortunately run out of chicken parmesan, but instead of simply saying it wasn't available, they made it from scratch just for my husband. It was easily one of the best chicken parmesans we have ever had. The sauce was so incredible that we could not stop talking about it. Austin overheard us and, without us even asking, brought over a full bowl of the sauce so we could dip our pizza crust in it. That level of attention and care is something you rarely see. I ordered the New York style pizza and it was absolutely delicious. They use sourdough and King Arthur's flour, and you can truly taste the difference. The flavor and texture were outstanding. When we finished, they asked if we wanted dessert. We were hesitant because we were already so full, but Austin encouraged us to try their vanilla cheesecake and we are so glad he did. It was honestly some of the best cheesecake we have ever had. Between the phenomenal food, the thoughtful service, and the warm and welcoming atmosphere, this place completely exceeded our expectations. Experiences like this are rare and truly special. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

The views in the Hudson Valley are literally breathtaking from almost every angle of every city. My Wife and I have both had Farmers and Chefs bookmarked in Yelp for quite some time, so finally heading over was so exciting. It was a beautiful day so we headed to the patio. Love the indoor/outdoor bar area. I ordered a dirty martini. Made perfectly. We shared the Farmer's Wings, oysters on a half shell and a mixed green salad with Goat Cheese, soooooo good. My Wife also went with the Salmon & garlic mash served with green beans. Hella Good. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Our server, a very kind gentleman, who's name a cannot remember made our experience even more incredible by going above and beyond to direct the umbrellas just so that the sun wasn't in my Wife's eyes and our view of the walkway wasn't blocked. Amazing. I look forward to your next dinner at Farmers and Chefs and implore you to get your butt there soon. Cheers, The Happy Hour Huntress

We sat outside and it was mostly pleasant, aside from some pesky mosquitos -- citronella candles or similar would be helpful to have on the tables. I got the 50/Cut Burger on a bed of mixed greens (no GF bun option), and it was super tasty albeit slightly overcooked. The shoestring fries were also good. The Negroni I ordered had a good balance of flavors but I always prefer a big rock of ice vs. chipped ice, which waters down the drink too fast. But they supplied a legit Luxardo cherry, and that certainly elevated the experience. The service was fast & friendly. I enjoyed it, and would return to try some of the other menu items.
